Explain that you have loaders that do not know how to pack . They piled wood furniture on top of wood furniture without a blanket or anything between so all the furniture now has scratches and dents that were not there before the trip. A leg broke off a dresser now I have to repair it before I can even use it. I will have to refinish many pieces to look like it did before it left Kentucky.Margaret L.

Too much to mention. Wait, I'll try: Reservation was for 8:00 a.m. Location did not open until 10:45. Attempted to utilize my debit card for the rental. Told debit cards not acceptable. Explained that my debit card was acceptable 2 weeks prior when I rented the same type vehicle at another Uhaul location (where the desired vehicle type was unavailable). It was necessary that I go back to my home and return with a 'regular' bank credit card to complete the rental agreement. (For what it is worth, the maximum cash value for any of my (several) credit cards is approximately $7500; while my debit card cash value is $30,000.) The steering wheel of the vehicle that I was supplied was covered with paint, sticky with solvent-softened white paint. My 'regular' bank credit card was charged $50 for 3 hour's use of a vehicle that is advertised for $19.95 / day. I'm not sure what you can do to please the next customer.William R.

We rented a 20' truck that had a tire that was completely, and I do mean completely bald on one side! When the truck reached a speed of 50-55 it would shake violently. We were on back roads until a hour into the 10 hour trip and only did up to 35-40 mph, but Once we were on the interstate we realized there was an issue and called for service. Long story short, the tire had to be replaced and the service guy said this truck should of never been driven off the lot. Obviously was not inspected before renting. From the time we made the call and getting back on the road was 5 hours. Totally unacceptable!Taresha M.

The truck that I rented still had someone else's trash in it when it was picked up. I think that maybe the previous customer had done a self return and no one had verified the cleanliness of the truck. Just remember to verify the cleanliness of every truck. Other than that, I always love this location. You guys are awesome. :DHannah M.

The movers on the Louisville end had no idea how to pack the boxes. They put all the boxes in first then told me there wasn't enough room for the furniture. They made us take the beds apart and didn't wrap a single item. The mirrors were broken and my new furniture horribly scratched. The movers on the FL end were fantastic. Very helpful. They did comment on the inappropriate manner in which the boxes were packed and the damage to the furnitureBrooke C.

The cargo space on the van was dirty, but that is the least of my concerns. The location was supposed to have my mobile pickup ready for me at 6:30 AM, but they clearly did not prepare it and I was unable to pick the van up until they opened at 9 AM. Actually it was closer to 9:30 because the workers showed up late. Myself and 3 other people waited outside while the first worker came in 20 minutes late and the second worker came in 25 minutes late. The first worker also sat in her car for 5 minutes blasting music before getting out to open the store even though she could clearly see several people waiting. At the end of all of this, I was 3 hours behind schedule with business because of the inability for your business to be run properly.Jonathan B.
I returned the cargo van two hours after I rented it. I got a call two days later wanting to know if I planned on returning it. They had the keys because I gave them to an employee working at the counter, and it was parked in their lot but still they didn't know it was returned. I will never rent from you again and if asked I would never recommend U-Haul. The lady made me feel like a criminal, like I'm a car thief. If possible I would like all my money back, even that wouldn't totally satisfy me.Robin M.

The last location i went to to get a truck the service was great. the first site i had reserved they were not working the business hours as posted. i went to another haul spot that some fellow co-workers were getting their truck and this location was closer to our job site they were unable to transfer my reservation to there site which sucked as that would have been very convenient to me as a customer. the rating above are from the last site i actually rented the equipment from. the other 2 very poor from a customers perspective.JEFF L.

They have charged me over $130 for what was a $30 contract, I've placed three calls over two days and cannot get anyone to call me back or give me an answer as to what happened. This is the single worst customer service experience I've ever had.Charles F.

When I arrived to pick up the truck, the desk agent gave me a set of keys to the wrong tuck. When I realized what happened, I advised the agent the keys were no to the vehicle (pickup truck) on the lot. It turned out the keys where for a pickup truck at another Uhaul location 7 miles away. I would either have to wait for a Uhaul employee to drive and retrieve the pickup truck, or I could go 7 miles away and get the pickup truck myself. This was inconvenient for me, as I'd come to this location based on what the online reservation had instructed me to do. The desk agents had no concern for this mistake and acted indifferent to the issue. After I drove to retrieve the truck at the other location, it had less than the half of tank of gas in it, and I was ultimately charged 7+ additional miles of usage. Poor experience, I'll look into other rental companies next time.Joel F.

After checking in my uhaul I realized I left my purse in the truck. I instantly texted the manager at this location and let her know and asked if she would put it up in the office for me until store hours. she politely agreed. Upon receiving my purse she told me â€œthe purse fell over it was all over the seatâ€ which is not the truth. I also asked for the pictures I took at check in to prove that my purse was on the floor, nobody ever sent me the pictures. Money and a blank money order for my new apartment were stolen out of my purse but everything else stayed. When I asked about it she said she would look into it and review the cameras. I was never shown the cameras, or refunded my money for the actual uhaul rental or given an apology. I never heard from the store again. She also sent out a regular employee when I specifically asked for her THE MANAGER to go and get my purse. She also stated the drivers side door was open and somebody could've came during the night and stole my property. This is not true because on the camera you see me trying to open the door to get my purse before I left from checking the uhaul in and the door wouldn't open. I contacted the corporate office and also filed a police report since the store never contacted me again to let me how they would fix this issue.Makiya D.
Speed up the interaction with in store employees. One person working desk and phones. Arrival to store to leaving to get trailer took 45 mins with a reservation. Employee informed the customers in store that she was no longer answering phone calls. I have been to this location a different time and that time I ended up leaving since it had taken 45 mins to service a single customer and two more in line in front of me. Drop off was quick. Later in the day uhaul called to ask me the status of trailer. Possibly it was not checked in properly. Not sure why they would call first instead of looking in the fairly small lot for trailer. Truck was extremely shaky while in motion.Nikko D.
I made a reservation and the location was unavailable. Uhaul moved it to another site that rented the reserved truck out to someone else without properly notifying Uhaul. After contacting Uhaul customer service, they said the location showed the truck as active... but it was not there. I got moved back to the location of my original rental and they did not have a working truck avaliable. From there my reservation was transferred to the Lynnview location, which I have no issue with. When I called and asked for an extension due to the issues with pickup, the customer rep told me I could return the truck at 8:30am and would only be charged for 1 day. I get to the lynnview location at 8:20am and they were closed. I tried to use the app and finally after using desktop view on the website I got the return to go through only to see I was charged for 2 days instead of 1. The whole process was a messElise T.

After original reservation was not available at pickup time, I was sent to this location where service was very bland. Not rude but not friendly. Truck had lots of gravel and dirt in the back. I was very disappointed in my overall experience with UHaul.Belinda L.

The service was awesome!! I interfaced with a lady at the front desk when the mobile app was not working for me, and she was awesome. She also worked with another lady there who was extremely helpful. I was in and out of there in 10 minutes. The maintenance people where interactive and more than helpful. My overall experience at this facility was outstanding. The equipment however, was really beat. I was given a vehicle that had 133,084 miles on it. It was tough to drive and made a lot of noise. That was not a problem for me as I was only doing a local move. I could not go over 55 miles per hour and keep the truck stable and in lane. If I had to go for hours driving this vehicle on the highway, it would have been a nightmare. This is no fault of the staff there at the location.KEITH G.

Our reservation was for 8am-8am the next day; 24hrs. We arrived at main 7:58-59, and had to wait almost 10-15 minutes because the lady at the front desk had chosen to go down the street to McDonald's and a gas station for coffee and food for herself and coworkers. Not impressed with behavior of that sort. The only other people there seemed to have no problem with it, and simply said, â€œshe'll be back in a little bit. We just gotta waitâ€.john J.

First location did not have a truck that was reservedâ€¦was transferred to another location across town and was promised they would have a truck for me. Got to the second locationâ€¦.no truck. Finally a truck comes back and it's a 20' instead of the 15' that reserved. Made me pay higher price for bigger truck I did not need or want. They also refused to give me any free miles for having to rent from a location many miles away from where I had reserved my truck. My rental was double the price it should have been because they did not have the truck promised to me. The whole process also took almost 3 hours to get a truck. Truck was also FILTHY and had major tire/issues in front end. Everything about this experience was horrible and ridiculous.Sara W.

Employee was 45 minutes late at opening the business. I returned the equipment the night before as I did not want a repeat experience and was charged $50 for doing so. Your employee was late and I end up getting charged for it...great way of doing business if you can get away with it!MICHAEL K.
I ordered a 10' truck from a different location 2 months prior to the rental date. The day before my reservation I got a call that they were moving my pickup location to the Preston Hwy location and that I had to take a 15' truck because they don't have any 10' trucks. When I got to the Preston Hwy location, I was told that the only truck that they had was a 26' truck so I had to take that. All I needed to move was a couch from Louisville to Ohio. The 26' truck was difficult to drive and cost me a lot more in gas. I'm very disappointed in UHaul, especially considering they had months between when I booked the truck and when I actually picked it up to make sure that there would be a truck at the location I requested. And to switch me to a different truck at a different location the day before and then STILL not have that truck at the new location is ridiculous.Cody B.

It would seem that Sunday morning is busy but there was only one person working the counter. There was five of us in line and three more came in while I was there.
