I got charge an extra day because they did not provide me with the right information. I called an explained about the situation and the girl who answered the phone was rude. Her response was well you should have known. we did not needed to tell you! She said you signed a contract so you have to pay for it, I don't know what else to tell you! I reply that I wanted to speak to the manager and she said that the manager was busy and that if I wanted to speak to her to complain that I should call the next day. Worse experience ever.

They rarely answered the phone and when they finally did they were preoccupied with selling me storage units. I was not inclined to use them because they sounded as if it was a struggle for them to talk to me. I don't like being treated as if I am imposing; and I felt like I was a burden.

The uhaul truck was dirty when I picked it up, had brown stains on the cup holder, and fries floor. They also did not have a dolly, which made it tougher to move.

The "24/7" check out feature is poorly designed. I checked this box at the time of reserving online, and received an email reservation confirmation with reservation number. Strangely upon arrival, I was told I had to go wait in line (for an hour) to actually get a vehicle assigned. I asked why this was the case and was told that it was because I hadn't completed the online profile? That's the stupidest design I've ever experienced.

The people at the location were very nice and helpful but overall the communication between the online system and the uhaul locations is so terrible it caused so much anxiety to me on my moving day. I had to change my reservation like four times and even when i got confirmation it didnt actually mean I had a van. I ended up having to rent a round trip instead of a one way because the scheduling system is so incompetent. Thank god I got my truck and got my move done but what a unnecessary hassle.

The location was fine but customers service itself wasn’t all that. There wasn’t 1 designated person taking care of customers. I believe the manager was at the location but he was busy on the computer one woman was taking care of customers and the other was on the computer as well. I didn’t know where to stand , no one welcomed or greeted me or even told me who would be taking care of me. When the lady with the customer was done she asked the lady on the computer what I needed and ofcourse she didn’t know because no one asked me. The van was fine , had damage stickers on all corresponding spots and was clean. When it was time to drop off I was able to do it any time before 7am the next day which was VERY convenient for me but when it was time to drop off there were vans/trucks all over the place I wasn’t sure where to actually park it. There was no sign , a few other people were there confused as well. Maybe they can’t afford a person to stand there over night but this was my first time renting a van and sign would of been VERY helpful.

I was given an address to drop off the truck. When I arrived at that address, there was nobody there from Uhaul and I was told that I couldn't drop the vehicle there. I was sent to two other places before I had to find one on my own. Extremely poor customer service.

I have attached the paperwork from the NYC rental . Here's is what I expect: 1. Tolls higher truck versus Van. 2.Lock to secure Truck 3. More gas Truck versus Van. Total at least $ 46.00 to be credited back to my son's Credit card. Here's the things that I don't understand? Van reserved, given Truck, there were Vans sitting in the lot. More Tolls cost. No instructions on how to drive a truck and use the tailgate. Needed a lock. Reserved on my credit card, charged my son's, never explained. U Haul should be embarrassed by this situation. So, forward onto Corporate and let's get this reimbursement done.

I had to postpone my moving day and cancel a flight because U-haul ran out of Uboxes at 3 different locations on my move day. I had the boxes reserved a month in advanced, I would recommend calling ahead of your move day to verify that the location has the boxes. It was difficult to get a hold of someone that was willing to help, and not pass me off to someone else. Eventually, I was put in touch with someone helpful who managed to get me the Ubox, and have it delivered, but it was quite disorganized. It ended up being very affordable, but I would recommend that you verify the location you select has the U boxes before your move date.

Communicate earlier about the exact location of the U box, and the time of entry to the box. We did not hear back about this until 24 hours before we were due to move, and had already hired movers for a different location.

The new online system was challenging to deal with. It took me almost 40 minutes to actually get the vehicle. The people on site were unwilling to help, and when I finally got out due to delays using the system, I saw that my return time was still 11:00 even though it took close to an hour to even get the vehicle. I’m hoping something can be done to expedite the process. Additionally, the van wasn’t where the website said it would be.

the truck was parked in such a way that the first experience very frightening. It did set the tone for how big and dangerous this truck is and made the trip nerve-wracking for hours. Would like to NEVER have to drive that size U-Haul ever again.

It was unclear when I was supposed to inspect the truck with an employee. When I dropped the truck off, I had to pay for damage that I did not cause because I could not prove that the truck had been inspected/prior damage logged prior to driving it from Harlem to Ronkonkoma.

The employees had zero information about my mobile check in and gave my truck to someone else. Then proceeded to play with a basketball while we tried to talk to him about getting what we reserved. I also didn’t get half of the stuff I payed for in my reservation with no refund. Horrible.

Bad customer service and the car we got broke 1 hour after we got it. We were told on phone that the 24 hour rental had unlimited mileage but then we only got 68 miles and they could only after 1 hour of arguing offer 20 more miles. The fact that they say that they can’t help us and that we need to call customer service is the worst customer service you can give.

The facility is ok but that call center is horrible they give wrong information. Leave out important facts. For example you have to call certain facility to see if the have equipment for the hitch.

We were confirmed via phone to drop off at the Chelsea location. When we showed up, we were told that the vehicle was to large and need to be taken to Brooklyn or the Bronx, and customer service was closed. After paying for a full day rate, I find it unacceptable that not only were we confirmed for one location, and then told to go to another, but the location wasn’t even open when we got there and the order was only closed 2 days after drop off because dispatch gave the wrong vehicle number. There were no apologies from anyone except for the woman I spoke with today. At the bare minimum we should’ve been given a discount for how much of a mess this turned out to be.

They advertised an appliance dolly for $10 but the actual price ended up being $12. The staff was extremely rude and dismissive; the manager didn't seem to care about customer service or the fact that people who pay online might end up losing money because reservations aren't guaranteed.
