I booked a 15' truck on East 117 Street and it wasn't there. I had to go up to the Bronx to get one that existed. This cost me several hours of time, taxi fares and also the extra mileage.

Originally I was confirmed a few days prior to pick up in Upper East Side and the Bronx always has a long line. The truck was low on gas (inaccurate gas info on contract that I had to correct) and I had to fill it at the beginning of my rental which was super inconvenient when trying to meet my movers on time after the long wait to pick up. The dolly I ordered wasn't in stock and I got a utility dolly as a substitute which I couldn't use (wish I got my money back for that). The mattress pads I ordered weren't ready in the truck so I had to ask for that too. The only thing that was quick and easy was when I returned the truck. I also had to return the truck to the Bronx (an hour drive from Brooklyn) when I requested to drop off in Brooklyn over a month ahead of time. I have rented from uhaul for 13 years and this was my most stressful experience and would make me reconsider renting.

Everything was good until it was time to return the equipment. The process of waiting for a code was daunting. If you didn't wait for it, there was a twenty dollar fee. That's not cool; otherwise, it was an excellent experience.

This self-pickup option is a total waste of time. The front desk still required me to check in with them and the girl at the counter was slow and it took her nearly 20 minutes to complete. My "guaranteed" reservation wasn't ready on time, none of the equipment was ready, I was lied to and told some of my equipment wasn't available when it actually was, but was then still told I couldn't have it. We arrived back before closing but the attendant in the lot refused to help us. Oh, and NO ONE was wearing a mask the entire time. It's embarrassing that this location has employees that have no respect for anyone, including themselves. Would never do this again.

Ensure that your locations are open and have vehicles available before you allow someone to make a reservation. I had reservations at 2 separate locations that's weren't even in business on the day although according to the customer service representative they spoke to the business and they were awaiting my arrival only to find nobody there. The location where I actually got my truck was great to me but if I can avoid it I will not be using your services

The employees at the Bronx U-Haul location were exceedingly rude. They made mistakes with my reservation that set me back almost two hours on my moving day, and were completely unapologetic. I received a truck and was almost back to my apartment when they called to tell me it was the wrong truck. They made me turn around and go get another truck. Also, this was not even the location I originally requested a truck from. I was sent to this location after the first location did not have a truck for me.

The vehicle which are utilized had a not working driver side window which meets safety huge concern. In addition when I made my reservation I requested a one-way drop off only to find out that they were none available two days before my move this ended up in me having to pay more money for an item which I was not expecting U-Haul must make it a priority to ensure that they are able to provide and meet the customer needs.

First of all the lady that attended me acted like if there were more people on the line (which there wasn't) was rushing me while I was looking for information that she asked me for and on top of that made a dumb comment . Then when I got the truck the floor of the truck was dirty & on top of that I highly recommend anyone that rents a Uhaul to take pictures of the truck because they barely update any damages of the truck before they give it to you ! The website they make you get on to check the damages on the truck are outdated so look carefully and upload Pictures of every angle !! Overall the truck ran great

The only issue that I had with this location is that representative Francis was very rude and unprofessional.

I had to repeat the check in process several times using the app. As opposed to prompting me for info that may have been left out or entered incorrectly, the app just displayed the initial information screen. I feel this is a personal security issue because although the location is convenient the neighborhood is VERY sketchy. There is a significant homeless population that sleeps nearby.

We had a horrible experience, we were suppose to be picking our truck up at 6:30am on Lexington Ave where the truck was not prepared for us. We had to wait on the phone about an hour until we spoke to a representative where we then had to switch locations. We had to take a $30 taxi to the location to pick up another truck. We ended up being almost 2.5 hours behind schedule. We were not offered anything because of the inconvenience. I am so disappointed with U-Haul I understand things happen but nothing was offered to us for this hug inconvenience. I do not plan on using this company again.

The online checkin didn't work. Tried three times. First no sign in, then created account. System didn't recognize reservation or order number. (Name on reservation was spelled wrong). Called tech assistance, they changed name (and pickup time). Tried again while on line at store, went thru procedure but before I got to section where I submit photo, there was technical problem, got message, try again later. Man at store used online checkin system with me, didn't work and he sent new order number, still didn't go thru, error message: please try again. System too glitchy for me.

There was some challenges with the dropbox return, the system, gas and mileage error, but Micky Sayers resolved the matter. He went to the truck and read the actual mileage and gas used. It turned out that uhaul owed me. Thank you Mickey for your professional courtesy on resolving the issues.

Absolutely horrific experience with U-haul from start to finish. I reserved a truck and storage unit online and with the Promotion of one free month of storage. I go to pick up the truck and they tell me they have no more trucks available so they give me a fan. Okay, fine, fair enough, not a big deal. Then I go to the storage unit and while I'm at the desk, the employee refuses to honor the free month of storage with a vehicle rental. I told her that I called them earlier to confirm that they'll honor the free month and they said YES over the phone and hung up on me. I get there and she tells me that they won't honor it, nor is the promotion valid for their location. I then ask why does it say it is available on their website? Crickets.... I wish i didn't cancel my reservation with Public Storage and went with them.

Customer service was great. Especially the manager was very kind very professional. Storage facility was clean. But was unhappy by the amout of mouse and rat droppings in my storage unit. With all my stuff in it and kids items alot had to be thrown out because of mouse/rat droppings. We use to have a second floor unit but once me moved to a ground floor unit rat/mouse droppings problem. Overall if it were not for the mouse/rat droppings U-Haul storage great company great customer service prices not too bad.

I called the Grand Concourse Storage for a whole week and they pick up phone to answer me all they said was hold and never picked it up again and they stole my story and my private paper
