I have had a terrible experience, several times, with this facility and its staff. I have previously forwarded the complaint to the Management and have yet to receive an updated response. I even spoke to the Manager about the complaint when I moved out, and though she was very busy, I felt like there was an air of irritation based on my previously complaining about the door not working after moving all of my things out and having to move them into a working unit, and not receiving any assistance from the representatives that were there. I also was advised by the Uhaul call center that I qualified for a free month, which was confirmed by the location rep, then declined later. This is not the first time that I used Uhaul (trucking and storage) in the past few months, as there were a limited number of units available and we had to use several separate locations... and I was awarded the free month at the other locations. This was the first and only location where I was advised that we did not qualify for the free month (and that it was a one-time option) though we had received it previously and it was confirmed by the call center. The Clairmont location was the worst customer service that I had received, and I missed my flight and had to rebook it based on what appeared to be the inexperience of the persons that were responsible for managing the location on those 2 days that I interacted with them before I moved out.FELICIA S. | Overall Experience

The U-Hall Storage Unit was the Worst Storage that I've ever rented because Someone(s) kept picking the pad locks in order to steal, and vandalized my property. No complaints at all. Everything was excellent. One random comment though: I noticed that the boxes I placed all the way to front of cab in the middle, were hot when I unloaded them. Is this normal? Maybe your exhaust pipe under car is missing the 'shield'? Seems like on a long drive on a really hot day, it might turn into a problem.Todd R.

Close the 3947 Peachtree rd location. They are worthless!! Cancelled my confirmed reservation without any notification and tried to send me 20 minutes in the wrong direction to get my vehicle even though the one I rented was sitting in the lot. Just as I was leaving they told another customer with a reservation the same thing. Avoid this location on Peachtree. Luckily clairmont came through with a simple phone call.alan F.

I had a pickup scheduled at noon and after I arrived at the facility I was informed that there were no trucks until 4:30. After I finally received my truck, I left the facility and found out that the right mirror did not work at all. I was unable to see out of the right side of my vehicle and was required to use surface streets as I was unable to merge lanes properly. I called the help line and was waiting for over two hours to speak with someone. By the time I finally did speak with someone, they attempted to blame me for the issue. I was informed that 2-3 days later I would have someone reach back out to me regarding the issue and I still have not heard back. This is absurd and I am appalled at how terrible the service has been.Deklan R.

I was locked out and had to contact security through Uhaul's 1800# to let me out. I had my children with my and had to make arrangements for them while we were trapped inside the storage facility. Today I went to get assistance with retrieving my gate card from the locked storage building,but was told that there's nothing that can be nothing at this time until the Store Manager comes in at 11am. I have items that I have to unload to make my final trip and turn in my apartment keys at 12:30pm today or I'll be charged additional rental days. I had reserved a hand truck/dolly to use in my move. I had prepaid for the item and upon arrival to get the truck and equipment i was told "sorry, we don't have the hand truck". In my online reservation I requested a 6::30am pick-up and was directed to the Piedmont rd/I-85 location. When I arrived this morning , I couldn't complete my check-in/pick-up online. So, I called customer service and learned it was only 24/7 return location. Not a 24/7 pick-up and return location. I waited for the location to open at 7, but the employee didn't get there until 7:05. This is important because my 2 hour reservation for the freight elevator and loading dock at my building was from 7am - 9am, and my movers were meeting my there at 7am. When the employee arrived and looked up my reservation, she informed my there was no 20 foot truck available because the person who rented it yesterday hadn't returned it. She told me I had to go to the Clairmont Rd location to get a twenty foot truck.. By the time I arrived to the Clairmont Rd location it was 7:30amâ€¦ I had extreme difficulty driving the truck because the passenger side mirrors were broken and would not stay in position. When I looked closer it looked like they had black electrical trap on them in an attempt to hold them in place. When I finally got the truck back to my apartment, it was 8:00am and I only had had 1 hour to use the loading dock and freight elevator. Therefore, I was unable to move all my things as planned. To make matters worse, I still had to pay the movers for 7am - 8am while they were waiting on me to get the truck. I was a very frustrating experience, and no one tried to make it right. :(TAMARA A.

I returned my vehicle but my account wasn't closed out and I was overcharged. I returned to the location today to let them know the situation. Instead of being helpful I was accusing of not refilling the gas tank by Ricky Alexander and he began acting as if the situation was my fault. Clearly all the mistakes were made on their end but I'm there being belittled and treated poorly. The pick up truck I rented worked fine, but the Change Oil Light was on, as well as Tire Maintenance Service Light. I would have thought that would have been checked before I rented it. Over 15 customers waiting in line because the location open late people trying to physically fight and getting very argumentative and angry with each other is a very toxic environment when there's only one person working the entire location also he works very slow and pushes people to the back of the line who I've been waiting there for hours. I had to cancel some movers that I had scheduled and booked and had to pay them so I lost over $200 because of the 3 hour wait time with my original booking was confirmed for 10 AM I didn't leave uhaul until 1 PM and I arrived at 10amSara S.

Rob/Rod was not the most customer driven. My first reservation was for Saturday, February 26, 2022, apparently Uhaul had a system outage which really inconvenienced me for both truck and storage. Excellent staff, light bulbs were never in my storage unit for one room and the other was out when going visit. It would be nice for uhaul to fix this often. Well lit areas are important! Also the Elevator is terrible; especially when you have paid movers and every time the elevator close - it takes 3-tries, before the door close! Something has to be done! That's terrible. Don't wait till someone gets hurts before fixing! It's been 4-months and still not running correctly. By the way, I'm referencing building A. I've utilized this specific location for 2 different moves! Both times have been a very smooth process for storage! The first move, I stored my belongings for 3 months. The second move I stored my belongings for 7 months. My only complaint would be the stench in a unit near mine, so I'm not sure that there is much the company can do about that. I give this location a thumbs up, and will definitely return if I need to again!! Tiffany was wonderful! So friendly and knowledgeable about all of my questions. The facility is very well maintained-super clean and it even smells good inside. My only suggestion would be to place a U-Haul sign at the Clairmont Rd entrance, as I thought I was in the wrong lot, only seeing Sam's Club when I pulled in. Honestly the employees could not have been nicer, but we had a little bit of a hectic time getting our unit. It was a very busy day, so there was quite a wait (certainly not the employees fault - just stating that). When we got our access card, we were very disappointed that we couldn't get an access code. One card is not convenient. Then the card would not work to get us into the building and I had to go back to the busy office. It was re-programmed, I went back to the elevator, and up to the 3rd floor we went, only to find a lock on our unit. Back to the busy office to get an employee with the master keys to take off the facility's lock so we could store our items. Honestly this experience took WAY longer than it should have due to all of the glitches. The pricing is also extremely high, now that I have had the time to check comparable storage facilities in the area. Again, everyone was very nice and helpful, despite that they were extremely busy.Ann O. | First Impressions

VERY POOR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, I WILL NEVER GET A STORAGE HERE EVER AGAIN! THE STAFF WERE SLOW AND DISRESPECTFUL. VERY IGNORANT WHEN IT COMES TO DOING THE PAPER WORK CORRECTLY, I WAS NEVER ABLE TO ACCESS THE ONLINE ACCOUNT, THEY NEVER EVER GAVE ME A CONTRACT IN HAND OR BY EMAIL! THE RATES ARE SUPER EXPENSIVE, MANAGER LOCKED THE DUMPSTER WHILE WE WERE MOVING OUT, VERY INCOMPETENT INDIVIDUALS, I WAS CUSSED OUT BY A MALE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP, THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE EVER! THE CLOSE EARLIER THEN THE HOURS LISTED ON THE DOOR AND WEBSITE, ONE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP CLOSED THE PLACE DOWN 2 HOURS EARLIER AND DIDNT LEAVE A NOTE ON THE DOOR OR ANYTHING, THE OWNER IS TERRIBLE TOO, HE RUSHES THRU THINGS. I will never do any business with this UHaul facility. The staff is unprofessional, they are very impolite & will not take any steps to assist you with anything. Whether that be securing a truck for a move or securing a storage at this facility. I will not be back & I encourage anyone to use the peachtree road location instead, they are kind, understanding, & provide quality customer service. The branch was severely understaffed. The person to helping us had too many customers to process. We arrived at 4:00 left at 6:00 was able to get a truck but not a storage unit assignment until the following morning. Please find that woman some help. I'll start with my move-in experience which was 2/5 stars. The gentleman checking me was a.) rude and b.) borderline incompetent. I had to ask him how I was supposed to enter/exit the facility which he replies "oh yeah you'll need a code". He also forgot to give me a card to swipe in and out of the unit on top of not giving me directions on how sign-in/out process worked or even where my unit was located. When explaining my situation to him, he was sarcastic and said "you need to sign-in of course". He also forgot to ask me to bring back a lock and another item from the unit and asked me to get them one at a time. I'd return with one item and he'd go "well what about this item? I need that as well"...The lady who was working on that day is the only reason it didn't get a 1-star review as she helped me move the U-haul because I didn't feel comfortable navigating the 26' in the tight corners Fast forward to the move out process. I went to the physical location because I wasn't able to move out via the website, and I spoke with a worker who was helping another customer but wrote down my name and unit number and said she'd move me out after helping the customer. Unfortunately, she must have forgotten and on the 24th of September, I got an email on the 27th from the GM saying my rent was past due. I replied to the email explaining I had moved out on the 21st and that I spoke to an employee on the 24th. In addition to emailing the email, I called the facility and once again an employee wrote down my name and unit number and said he'd move me out. On the 28th, I spoke to a U-Haul customer service rep and she said I should go down to the physical location and speak to the GM. So, on Oct 1st I went to the location and was FINALLY moved out after learning there currently isn't a GM. In short, between the truck issues in Houston and this process in Atlanta, I'm done spending over $1k per move with U-Haul. End rantRyan M. | Overall Experience
Terrible customer service at this location! I was promised a receipt for a rental truck- they never sent a receipt and then when i called about the receipt i had to repeat the email address 10 times! very unprofessional with low iq scores. Terrible service, no call back from manager to follow up. Sales clerk gave me the wrong gate code 3 times then assured me everything was set and when I got to my storage there was a lock still on it. Was promised 30 days free from customer service and denied at the facility. Typical. Called customer service to verify and Was told the uhaul truck has to be booked for a one way trip in order to qualify for the 30 days free. Cool. However that's not what was explained to me. Requested a manager who listened to the recording from my initial call and heard that I was promised 30 days free and said she would rectify the issue. She didnt. Oh and let's not forget I was on hold with customer service being passed around from person to person for more than 2 Hours. Moving my stuff out to cube smart. ListoShanique M. | First Impressions

I made an online reservation on May 1st for a drive up storage at the Clairmont storage for May 5th check in. It showed 2 drive up storage areas available and I RESERVED one of the drive up units. I called on May 2nd to confirm my reservation at the storage area for May 5 and they said everything okay just bring ID etc. When I showed up at 7:15am May 5 I did not get her name but there was a card Samanda Lora told me that there were no other drive up storage available and they booked me for indoor storage 2nd floor. I asked why this happened and got no reply why but this is what you get nothing more. My issue was I was meeting my movers at 8am and paying by the hour to make the move. I did not have time to find another facility and I was going to pay these movers by the hour. I took the unit and got a free lock WOW! While the movers were loading my furniture on the truck I called your 800 number and got a very nice lady and explained my issue and she came back and said she talked with Eddie and they found a drive up storage and Eddie was waiting for me. I immediately got in my car to go take off the lock on my 2nd floor and go see Eddie about my drive up. On the way over I did receive a call from someone (Eddie) but did not answer because I was driving and only to get to the Uhaul place and have Eddie saying he made a mistake and there was nothing he could do. I GUESS MY ISSUE HERE IS WHY TO YOU HAVE A SYSTEM THAT WHEN YOU RESERVE SOMETHING IT DOES NOT RESERVE WHAT YOU WANT! I NEVER FOUND OUT FROM THE 2 EMPLOYEES WHY THIS HAPPENS AND IT SEEMS TO ME A BAIT AND SWITCH. UHAUL IS BETTER THAN THIS AND I WOULD EXPECT NOTHING LESS. I GOT A FREE LOCK AND PAID MY MOVERS AN EXTRA HOUR MORE TO MOVE ME BECAUSE WE COULD NOT JUST TAKE IT OFF THE TRUCK AND PUT IT IN THE DRIVE UP STORAGE. I DID TRY TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE AT THE STORAGE AREA AND ALL EDDIE DID WAS GIVE ME THE BROCHURE THE IN-TOWN MOVERS WITH YOUR CEO E.J. "JOE" SHOEN TO CONTACT.ROBERT F. | First Impressions
