The truck was damaged the time we picked up. We took a pic but the link was expired so we went inside and told the front desk. The guy said they already noticed that and it's fine. Today when I tried to return the truck. The lady still tried to blame on us for damaging the truck. She was so impatient and wouldn't take the time to communicate. All went well until the return of the vehicle. I traveled between 28 and 30 miles and returned the van. The attendant told me I would receive an email receipt. When I received it, I had been charged for 259 miles! The amount charged was $232 instead of $53. I am very unhappy and intend to file a complaint. However, even if I am able to get the error corrected, it will still be at the expense of my time and effort to contact the company and explain the situation. I unfortunately have no real proof that their mileage is incorrect. When I received the van the gas gauge was near empty, and the agent apologized for that and said I could return it at the same level, or that I could fill it up to 1/4 full and receive a $13 credit. I added approx. 4 gallons of gas, drove it and returned it at the 1/4 full level and received my $13 credit. I would be a magician if I could go 259 miles on no gas!William L.

We arrived on time to drop off the trailer, however, the manager working there was unprepared for our drop off and insisted we would need to find a different uhaul location. She shouted at my husband and I as we left confused and angry. We did go to another uhaul location but because our drop off location was the previous place on our contract, we were going to be fined over $100 for a drop off change! The man suggested we call the uhaul hotline to change the drop off location there but then we had to wait 30 mins to even talk to someone! Eventually the nice man at the second location stood up for us and called the original drop off and explained that we would need to come back because he was not going to charge us the fine and they can find room for our trailer. So after going back to the original location the woman took our trailer. A trip that would've been 10 mins. had then taken 45mins with a lot of extra driving and frustrating conversation. I had a previous bad experience here and was given a $50 certificate for future use. I used the certificate online and entered my payment. I got confirmation it was applied and given a reservation number. When I got to the store they did a new reservation and would not honor the certificate even though the screen showed 2 separate reservations with my name. Dishonest. Aqueelah Brantley was great. We had not made a reservation due to our late need for a U-haul van. Aqueelah made a reservation for us at another location. Turned our the vehicle had been return as a reported stolen vehicle with no tag. It was OK because we understood that Aqueelah would not know that on the reservation center. Penny and her staff restored me and my families faith in Uhaul!!! This is the only location I will use! They were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Penny and her staff understood the toll moving takes on people and they make it easy. This store should be a model for how customer service should work and Uhaul store locations should be ran. If want to upgrade Uhaul start by promoting Penny and Lady that was there with her. This will take. Uhaul to another level and restore the service to the image you once had. Didn't get the woman's name but there was an employee that was very nonchalant and rude. I had reserved a truck (pickup) for the entire day. I actually came in the day before and Dorcine worked with us. I was under the impression that despite my reservation saying 9a, I had reserved it the entire day, and it was okay if I picked it up at my convenience. I didn't receive a call or anything. When I got there and the truck was gone, the guy was outside. The woman inside was just unpleasant and unhelpful. Even after I explained the situation, she says "it doesn't work like that and she couldn't do anything because there are now 2 reservations for that truck and it was rented out already". That should have been my sign to just leave but I still had other moving supplies that I needed to purchase. The woman acted like it was a burden for her to ring me up. I asked for the credit option when I put my card in the machine. She kept saying to do whatever the machine said. I informed her that there were no prompts on the screen or anything. She said "well if it's not there, you don't have the option to use it as credit". I told her that was hard to believe as the older white woman used that exact same register a few days before and I used the same exact card, and she was able to process as credit. The day before the gentleman used the same card and processed as credit. The woman kept insisting and was very rude about it. The guy came in from outside and said something to her. She then took my card and said she'd have to manually key it in, but had an attitude about it like how dare I inconvenience her when she never even got up from her chair once to assist me. I really wish I had caught her name but she wasn't wearing a name tag or anything. However, moving is already stressful enough on its own and you'll lose a lot of customers having employees with bad attitudes.tiandra T.

I have had a terrible experience, several times, with this facility and its staff. I have previously forwarded the complaint to the Management and have yet to receive an updated response. I even spoke to the Manager about the complaint when I moved out, and though she was very busy, I felt like there was an air of irritation based on my previously complaining about the door not working after moving all of my things out and having to move them into a working unit, and not receiving any assistance from the representatives that were there. I also was advised by the Uhaul call center that I qualified for a free month, which was confirmed by the location rep, then declined later. This is not the first time that I used Uhaul (trucking and storage) in the past few months, as there were a limited number of units available and we had to use several separate locations... and I was awarded the free month at the other locations. This was the first and only location where I was advised that we did not qualify for the free month (and that it was a one-time option) though we had received it previously and it was confirmed by the call center. The Clairmont location was the worst customer service that I had received, and I missed my flight and had to rebook it based on what appeared to be the inexperience of the persons that were responsible for managing the location on those 2 days that I interacted with them before I moved out.FELICIA S. | Overall Experience

The U-Hall Storage Unit was the Worst Storage that I've ever rented because Someone(s) kept picking the pad locks in order to steal, and vandalized my property. Close the 3947 Peachtree rd location. They are worthless!! Cancelled my confirmed reservation without any notification and tried to send me 20 minutes in the wrong direction to get my vehicle even though the one I rented was sitting in the lot. Today I went to get assistance with retrieving my gate card from the locked storage building,but was told that there's nothing that can be nothing at this time until the Store Manager comes in at 11am. I have items that I have to unload to make my final trip and turn in my apartment keys at 12:30pm today or I'll be charged additional rental days. Excellent staff, light bulbs were never in my storage unit for one room and the other was out when going visit. It would be nice for uhaul to fix this often. Well lit areas are important! Also the Elevator is terrible; especially when you have paid movers and every time the elevator close - it takes 3-tries, before the door close! Something has to be done! That's terrible. Don't wait till someone gets hurts before fixing! It's been 4-months and still not running correctly. By the way, I'm referencing building A. I've utilized this specific location for 2 different moves! Both times have been a very smooth process for storage! The first move, I stored my belongings for 3 months. The second move I stored my belongings for 7 months. My only complaint would be the stench in a unit near mine, so I'm not sure that there is much the company can do about that. I give this location a thumbs up, and will definitely return if I need to again!! Tiffany was wonderful! So friendly and knowledgeable about all of my questions. The facility is very well maintained-super clean and it even smells good inside. My only suggestion would be to place a U-Haul sign at the Clairmont Rd entrance, as I thought I was in the wrong lot, only seeing Sam's Club when I pulled in. Honestly the employees could not have been nicer, but we had a little bit of a hectic time getting our unit. It was a very busy day, so there was quite a wait (certainly not the employees fault - just stating that). When we got our access card, we were very disappointed that we couldn't get an access code. One card is not convenient. Then the card would not work to get us into the building and I had to go back to the busy office. It was re-programmed, I went back to the elevator, and up to the 3rd floor we went, only to find a lock on our unit. Back to the busy office to get an employee with the master keys to take off the facility's lock so we could store our items. Honestly this experience took WAY longer than it should have due to all of the glitches. The pricing is also extremely high, now that I have had the time to check comparable storage facilities in the area. Again, everyone was very nice and helpful, despite that they were extremely busy.Ann O. | First Impressions

THE RATES ARE SUPER EXPENSIVE, MANAGER LOCKED THE DUMPSTER WHILE WE WERE MOVING OUT, VERY INCOMPETENT INDIVIDUALS, I WAS CUSSED OUT BY A MALE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP, THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE EVER! THE CLOSE EARLIER THEN THE HOURS LISTED ON THE DOOR AND WEBSITE, ONE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP CLOSED THE PLACE DOWN 2 HOURS EARLIER AND DIDNT LEAVE A NOTE ON THE DOOR OR ANYTHING, THE OWNER IS TERRIBLE TOO, HE RUSHES THRU THINGS. I will never do any business with this UHaul facility. The staff is unprofessional, they are very impolite & will not take any steps to assist you with anything. Whether that be securing a truck for a move or securing a storage at this facility. I will not be back & I encourage anyone to use the peachtree road location instead, they are kind, understanding, & provide quality customer service. We arrived at 4:00 left at 6:00 was able to get a truck but not a storage unit assignment until the following morning. Please find that woman some help. I'll start with my move-in experience which was 2/5 stars. The gentleman checking me was a.) rude and b.) borderline incompetent. I had to ask him how I was supposed to enter/exit the facility which he replies "oh yeah you'll need a code". He also forgot to give me a card to swipe in and out of the unit on top of not giving me directions on how sign-in/out process worked or even where my unit was located. When explaining my situation to him, he was sarcastic and said "you need to sign-in of course". He also forgot to ask me to bring back a lock and another item from the unit and asked me to get them one at a time. I'd return with one item and he'd go "well what about this item? I need that as well"...The lady who was working on that day is the only reason it didn't get a 1-star review as she helped me move the U-haul because I didn't feel comfortable navigating the 26' in the tight corners Fast forward to the move out process. I went to the physical location because I wasn't able to move out via the website, and I spoke with a worker who was helping another customer but wrote down my name and unit number and said she'd move me out after helping the customer. Unfortunately, she must have forgotten and on the 24th of September, I got an email on the 27th from the GM saying my rent was past due. I replied to the email explaining I had moved out on the 21st and that I spoke to an employee on the 24th. In addition to emailing the email, I called the facility and once again an employee wrote down my name and unit number and said he'd move me out. On the 28th, I spoke to a U-Haul customer service rep and she said I should go down to the physical location and speak to the GM. So, on Oct 1st I went to the location and was FINALLY moved out after learning there currently isn't a GM. In short, between the truck issues in Houston and this process in Atlanta, I'm done spending over $1k per move with U-Haul. End rantRyan M. | Overall Experience

I was promised a receipt for a rental truck- they never sent a receipt and then when i called about the receipt i had to repeat the email address 10 times! very unprofessional with low iq scores.
