Get rid of the general manager Donald McMichael....makes up his own rules and policies and is misleading about what he prefers vs what is required ...left rude voicemails and texts on my phone .....engaged in a shouting match with me at the uhaul location....overall horrible customer service.....keys do not fit my in drop and they have a crack in the box...that customers are supposed to use or suffer the wrath of his “corrective” behavior....never been disrespected by an employee of ANY business like tjis before...will NEVER come back

My rating of “poor” has nothing to do with the employees at the location. They were great. My issue is with billing and I attempted to resolve it with customer service but got nowhere. When I called back to the location for them to help me resolve, I was transferred back to customer service (unknowingly). I booked a van, and on your website it says it’s .59/mile. I specifically paid attention to all the rates for the different sized vehicles. So when I got my receipt, I noticed I was charged .79/mile. Which is obviously more expensive. When I called to discuss with customer service, I was basically told “oh well” and that I signed the contract and the contract had .79/mile. My issue is, I signed the contract because I assumed it was the same price as what I selected online. Your website CLEARLY shows a van is .59/mile, which is the vehicle I rented. The customer service experience was terrible. If you see a customer clearly made a mistake, and you look at your own website and it shows the correct price, why not adjust it? Very very disappointed. I’ll also be filing a BBB complaint if this is not resolved.

I had a very good experience with the customer service at this location! The woman at the desk when I picked up my van was kind with me even though there were a few other people had changed things last minute with their rentals. (Which I can imagine would have been stressful as an employee to handle.) Then, when I returned my van after hours, (I thought the place closed at 9pm instead of 8pm -- my mistake!), the woman was gracious with me in my slightly-confused state, and she even helped me with the return process even though she didn't HAVE to do that. Thank you to the U-Haul employees!

Overall great experience. Checkout was quick despite there being a line when I walked in. Be sure to order a Lyft/Uber or have a friend drive you to the location because there is very limited parking on-location.

Not happy with my experience.... I went to two locations- the last location completed a reservation for me and when I got to this location they said that they didn’t have a vehicle ... I walked out but then a guy cane out and stopped me from leaving....also, wanted to leave my car behind and there were signs posted indicated that I couldn’t leave my vehicle for a couple of hours... what an inconvenience this was and I had to catch Uber from the location back to my vehicle .... I would not recommend U-Haul for these reasons

I placed the order at the piedmont uhaul location and they transferred me to another location without letting me know. This was very inconvenient for me as I had to drive across town. We like using the piedmont location because it is close to our office and makes getting my driver there easily. I wish uhaul would have told me upfront that they didn't have the van I needed at that location before I booked. Instead I had to find out minutes before my driver was on his way to pick up the van and I only found out because I called them to let them know he was on his way. I would just appreciate a little clearer communication ahead of time so I can plan my day out accordingly. thank you

The self-check-in process was an absolute nightmare. There were virtually no instructions regarding where to properly park the truck. Additionally this location was incredibly hard to find and it would have been helpful to include a note about where the location is in relation to the major routes in the area.

My only issue I have with this location is the fact that I wasn’t aware that I couldn’t park my personal vehicle anywhere near the location. Customers should be told that they cannot leave their vehicle near the facility.

The Manager Donald, and the staff treated me so well. I got in trouble financially and Donald gave me a settlement price to get my things out. We communicated several times, and not once did he treat me disrespectfully. It was pouring out and I was drenched like a wet rat, and all I got was constant help and respect. It was a very stressful day for me, but the staff made it a much more pleasant experiance. Thank you U Haul. Janet Brock

After drove 62 miles, in order to fill the tank up, I have to put 12 gallons of fuel, about $34, kinda suspicious ... not having the equipment at the location requested and forced to drive extra 15 miles (which I paid for it) and not the equipment requested ... made worst an already not fun activity ... next time Penskey or other company but not you guys ...

we use u haul several times a year for getting Concert Equipment to Venues. Have done so for years. The last two weeks were night mares. We always pre set up and have preprintrd registration. The past two weeks we arrived at check in time and no truck available.. Took some doing to come up with one. This past weekend , we were not even in the computer system. Finally was sent back down the freeway to our original location and had to take a 20ft truck two weeks in a row and we really prefer 15ft/ 17 at most. Now the rules have changed as to if you can't return by 6:00 p.m on Sunday, you can nolonger use the dropbox to turn in Keys, but have to take the truck home and return next day. What a bomber. not a happy camper at this point. .

Noticed that mirrors on truck cannot be adjusted, but there may be a reason for this. I'm thinking that maybe it's because it takes quite a bit of effort to do this, especially just one person, and, therefore, some people just may not adjust them when they actually should be for safety. U-Haul may have the mirrors in a permanent fixed position that is not perfect for some drivers but reasonably safe for everybody.. Anyway, that's my theory. As for everything else, U-Haul's outstanding, flexible and accommodating business model made my move a successful one at a very reasonable price. Also, the equipment and supplies needed for a move, they have on location for rent or sale at reasonable prices. My experience at this pick-up point was a very good one. Very well managed. When it comes to moving, U-Haul gives you the impression that they have thought of everything down to the smallest detail. They are a first rate company, and I highly recommend them.

Thr facilites are clean and organized. The service needs work. The older black lady I have encountered twice and neither time was she professional. This location clearly has its own rules and Uhaul customer service knows nothing about it. Thr general manager attitude is as lax as a sloth! His location receives enough continuous business that unsatisfactory service clearly is not a concern. My last time renting here will be when I move and it will be ONE WAY! This location is definitely a D rating compared to all the other service locations I had used in the past!

I could not adjust the driver side mirror. Other than that I was thoroughly pleased with the truck, especially noticing that I had an excellent turning radius, unusual for this size truck. Of course it could’ve always been cheaper but I still feel like it was a good value.

Van AND Truck cab had food pieces in them & was in general NOT clean. I was sorely disappointed this location would not work w me, as the van I originally rented for the day was not big enough to get my new furniture piece in it. I took the van back & had to start a new rental for a 10’ truck. The lady was more concerned that I gassed up the van after driving 8 miles than the fact that a repeat customer was in a dilemma. Truck I was given didn’t have a ramp as most newer models do & no cruise control. While the U-haul people were pleasant they were not as engaging & helpful as the people who previously ran this site.
