When renting an 8' truck or 9' cargo van, you must hold w/ a major credit card. I don't have one. I've always rented w/ my debit card, so I went to pick up the truck and had to leave to go find someone that would put their cc up for me to get the truck. This should be made more clear when ordering online, as this took up a whole hour of my rental time and made a hassle for our situation as a whole.Rochelle C.

There was one agent at the desk and he could have asked if we were dropping off and all we needed to do was tell him where the keys was and he could have checked us out on his leisure and we could have been on our way as opposed to waiting for him to finish with the customer before us. Couple of points: I used the cell phone app to pick up the truck. It was confusing to say the least. After about 15-20 minutes I was able to acquire the truck. Once we had the truck, it was difficult to start after I got it to the house. This happened two times. Upon returning the truck the person outside was not very customer friendly - as he felt it necessary to clear the van in front of my return before acknowledging and returning my truck (seems to me that taking care of a waiting customer would take priority over an empty van that needed to be cleaned. I went inside to process the return and was met with a similar response. And was told that all returns have to occur outside. The inside agent, then proceeded outside to tell the outside rep that I was upset that he didn't stop to process my return (again not what I would expect of a highly trained customer service professional). I finally got the truck returned, however, still have NOT received my invoice - which I was promised would be emailed. I asked for a credit for the pads that were not used and was told that since I had rented them, they would still be charged. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE AT ALL!!!!Michael M.
The lady at the desk when I arrived the 1st time to make a reservation said, â€œ there would be no problem in having a 10 foot truck ready for me to pick up at 12;00 noon. This was at least 2 hours before. Well I got there & no 10 foot truck on the property. She wanted me to drive to another location. I said I would take a van. I really wanted a truck. She was very polite. The gentleman at the U- haul center her very helpful & polite. Well I got driving the van and it showed a low tire light. I known that the air pressure is ok. So I took care of the stuff I had to move.? Return it a little after close 7:10 p.m. I have not gotten any notice I returned the van OR a final statement. Of the total cost. Well, Robert (the previous GM for 750 Buckley in Aurora, Co) never kept promises made to waive late fees when I was out of work due to an accident. He also promised prorated refund of rent when I moved my things out of the unit (1733.) While I was there loading the trailer I drove from Washington to Colorado the employees were lazy and disrespectful. They paid attention to their phones and gossiping about the drugs they took at the rave they attended for New Years Eve. Which then one of the employees ran after me when I was pulling out with a walkie talkie to radio the trailer number to the others because they assumed I stole the trailer. I just want what was promised at this point. Especially after being accused of being a thief. I don't know what the deal is with this location but the entire two years I had my unit there it was horrible. Employees would curse me out and call me names because I was late on my payments. Nobody ever returns your calls or messages either. Someone needs to really do something with the people and their attitudes there.kyle G. | Overall Experience

The trailer was dirty on the outside. The hookup tech was very helpful. The person at the checkout counter was just okay. We didn't know which connector to purchase and he didn't check it to verify. This used to be such an excellent center and we rent quite often. The customer service is horrible, the contactless pick up was not an option as the app kept freezing went inside and waited â€¦â€¦waited â€¦â€¦waited finally had to say something and he said well I'm helping someone else ummmm where is he then ? He said she can help you. â€¦. what? Ok then she should have said I can help you instead of seeing me standing right in front of her for 20 min . The truck needs work like allot the breaks squeaking and had to go to the floor to stop the windows filthy had to stop and clean the inside off full of nasty stuff and smelled really bad in the truck. Then when we returned it he said it isn't due back until tomorrow you have a 2 day rental and will be charged for the two days! Umm no I am not I ordered ONE 24 hr period that was 10am since I didn't get the truck until 10:10am when I had a 930am pick up arriving at 915 am! I only drove 19 miles and was charged for 6 gallons of gas. I got the truck at 1/4 tank and returned it at 1/4 tank. They are saying it was an 1/8 tank which is impossible if I used 2 gallons of gas. But apparently I have to take photos and provide proof of that? None of this was explained to me when I picked up the truck and now I'm being charged a whole extra $80? I wasn't told that I had to check in my rental on my phone or else I would be charged for another day. But it still costs $20 to check in over the phone if I was going to be charged for another day I would've kept the truck for a while other day. I reserved a 15' truck with a dolly to pull my car one way to Arizona. When I went to pick the truck and dolly up there was no reservation in your system. I had to settle for a 10' and no dolly. Because of this I had to leave some items in Denver and my young daughter had to drive my car a thousand miles by herself.TRACEY S.

I could not reserve online as the web page would not let me enter a pickup time (dropdown came up blank and would not let me type in a time) or let me continue without a pickup time. When I went to pick up the trailer I asked if they could retrieve my tow vehicle information from my previous rentals, was told they could not, delaying the rental process. After taking all of my personal information and photocopying my license, I was told I needed to give them my wife's cell phone # and name in addition to the information they collected on me, or they would not rent the trailer to me. They said this was to ensure my identity??? I was treated rudely by the staff on both pickup and return. Trailer taillight fell out upon hitting first bump in the road and I had to tape it in place. When I pointed it out on return they seemed unconcerned. I am looking at buying a trailer of my own now so as not to deal anything like this in the future.JERRY P.

Seriously consider who you let purchase your franchise locations. I returned my trailer today after 3 days. As I pulled into the parking lot, I saw the "return lane" was cluttered with other trucks and trailers, and not a sole was in sight. I had to park elsewhere. I then went inside of the office to try and figure out where to drop the trailer. I was not acknowledged when I walked in, but when I was finally noticed the first thing out of the service agents mouth was "you can't be in here without a mask!" I was unaware of this due to the fact that it was no longer required except in medical facilities and government offices. So I replied "ok, I just need to know where to put the trailer for return." Same response. Finally, the owner piped in and said "go wait by your vehicle, someone will help you." Very aggressively I might add. So I went outside to my truck. When the owner finally came out he walked up to my window and said "don't you ever fucking talk to my staff like that again, you are banned from U-Haul!" I was flabbergasted, and said "ok" he then began to unhook the trailer and kept cussing at me, he called me a pussy for not wearing a mask, and at one point he even called me a faggot. I am not sure who this man is I believe it was Rob, or Robert. When I asked his name he kept telling me he was going to call the cops and to get off his property. If this is the type of individuals you allow to own your franchises I will NEVER EVER EVER use your company again, and I will ensure to share this experience with everyone I know, so they do not have to feel the way I felt today.ROBERT R.

The GM, specifically, was a real jerk. I had 2 units in the building. The units were billed on separate cycles on different days. One of my units was paid up and one was a few days late when my dad and I stopped by to drop off some camping equipment. I only needed access to the unit which was paid up, and I was denied entry to the entire building because my other unit was slightly past the due date. Not only were we denied entry, the GM was mean about it. I was livid; I was literally shaking from shock and anger at the way he talked to me. The GM was completely uncaring and rude to the point that I lost my temper and said it was bs for which I immediately apologized, but maintain that is technically correct. My father was furious, too. I ended up paying for the other unit and letting the GM know that we would be emptying both units and leaving before renewal. That's exactly what we did. His behavior was completely unacceptable. Firstly, what he did was wrong and secondly, his attitude was disgusting. A man should not be in a customer-facing role if he can offer zero compassion or empathy. Furthermore, I will be emptying a third unit at another u-haul locations as soon as arrangements can be made. I came into the facility as I needed to update my autopay for my unit as my checking account changed due to a merge. I was told I couldn't use my checking account to do this and had to iise a debit/credit card. In the mean time the staff was more concerned with video games etc. and it wasapparent the associate didn't hear my need after explaining twice. Once I paid my monthly fee I asked was this set up on auto payment, had to look at the screen as he was leaving, said yes ,and told me to I can call back if needed then walked away. Associate distracted, not focused on the customer for a simple transaction and not confident my acct is set up correctly. Most likely will need to call again.
