The Bardstown location was fantastic. The people were kind, courteous and very helpful. This was a stark contrast to the 3413 Collins lane location where my adventure started. I am grateful that the Bardstown team cared enough about me to help.

The truck that was given to us was a absolute hazard! The truck had not been maintenance at all. Once leaving the parking lot to put gas in it because we were told it was on a fourth of a tank. It actually was less than that. However we were on a time schedule so we decided to just go put gas it in. The truck then preceded to start to over heat and smoke from the engine and started letting in a gas smell through the vents. Becoming a life threatening hazard. I also have full video footage of this whole Fiasco for who it may concern. The location manager told us he knew the check engine light was on already and it was just a sensor. Obviously it wasn't. He then switches us to another truck after wait a hour for them to come 2 miles down the street. I could continue to go in depth about how bad this experience was but like the manager showed little interest in our safety i doubt uhaul will as well. Horrible experience!

The property manager was great. The company as a whole needs to do better on pricing and access. I was there for a little over a year and seen two price increases. No additional space, no 24 hour access but price increases were steady. The company should do more for disabled veterans. I would have stayed but the price increases were ridiculous. I wrote the area manager and he basically said he felt they were competitive…To who? This is Kentucky and rural okolona. I was disappointed so I vacated immediately.

I reserved a 15 foot truck and received confirmation a week in advance. On the day I needed it, Uhaul said they had no vehicles available but directed me to the downtown Louisville location. I ran into the same problem there. I ended up settling for a 10 foot truck

I will never recommend this location, due to the ridiculous (1hr 20min) wait to pick up due to only one person working the counter, and the poor condition on the equipment that was provided. I question if I will ever come back to uhaul after this experience

No issues with location. I had issues with reservations. Made a reservation for a 15' truck. When I went to pick it up, I was one of 10 people that had been overbooked for a 15' truck. Eventually was given a 10' truck. Had to make two trips which of course had to spend more for mileage than anticipated. Don't allow for a reservation if you can't guarantee a truck will be available

Please hire more front-of-house employees (especially for the weekend). There was just one man and the queue was at least 1-hour in wait time. It was not his fault, he was trying to deliver good customer service under the circumstances. This was the fault of management for not properly staffing the facility or cross-training back-of-house employees.

I had placed the reservation 4 months in advance, and had confirmed 2 days in advance, but when I showed up to pick up the trailer, the person behind the counter was implying they did not have a trailer to meet my needs. Also his stated reason that they may not have the trailer was because it was for a scheduled 11 day rental. Get your act together.

We waited in a line for 1 hr 45 minutes that had one working computer. Poor customer service from the computer man. We were supposed to get our equipment from 10am-1pm and didn't get it until 11:35am. Even though they said we could still use it for a three hour period, they charged me a late turn in fee.

Waited for nearly 30 minutes with only 3 customers in the store. Finally got my trailer and one of the tires was nearly flat. knowing I was towing a vehicle on it 230 miles, i had to ask for another trailer. waited another 20 minutes to find out the new trailer wasn't even on your lot. Another 20 minutes later i finally got my trailer. this was a simple auto trailer and should not have taken more than 15 minutes. I was late to my appointment to pick up me vehicle even though I allow more than enough time for pickup.

Truck was not waiting on us, got it 30 minutes later than we should have and this was not even acknowledged. Equipment was not supplied yet got charged for it. The workers had my boyfriend go in the back to help them find us equipment….unfriendly staff and poor service. One guy there was super helpful. The other was rude, condescending, and kept saying stuff about it being time to close, despite us choosing online pick up.

Unfortunately, when i picked my truck up, it had just come in and the fuel level was not where it was supposed to be but i got charged additional fuel charges for bringing it back where the level was which is what i was told to do.

Better staffing and organization of vehicles. Savage had to call corporate to figure out he already had a truck on the lot, which caused several of us to have to stand in line for 30 minutes. He didn't know what would happen if I went over the allotted miles. He said they'd probably charge me “but it wouldn't be too much”. Well, it was a lot because I was 60 miles over, so that was an extra $60 I didn't see coming. Staff should be aware of policies and communicate that to the customer.

Vehicle did not make 18 miles and broke down. Sure that the exhaust manifold had a problem. Roadside assistance finally called and asked what was lit up on dashboard, started up and the truck began to run. 30 minutes later, Resumed travel at 60 or less and arrived late. As I traveled back the truck began spewing smoke so pulled over at Campbellsburg and paled. Called roadside assistance AGAIN. 11:30, Said that this truck was done and they should send tow truck. Said I was getting a ride home, operator said “your abandoning the truck, when in fact Uhaul and it's truck abandoned me. Stayed till 3:30 in the morning. They said tow truck to arrive at 8am. Wouldn't know, 4.5 hours waiting was enough and had to call for my own ride home and left. Never would anyone recommend uhaul!!! Equipment and service are quite dated, to many chiefs. Going to put all photos and video on Facebook, Twitter and everything else. Your vehicles only put lives in danger!!!!!!

My experience wasn't totally bad. The representative who rented me the truck was quick, knowledgeable and efficient. I rented the truck around 7 pm and returned the truck after hours, around 9 pm. I could not close out my reservation online that night. The site kept telling me my session timed out. The next morning, I got a voicemail from Chris, not sure if he was the same rep who rented me the truck but it did not sound like him. The message is below: “Yes Ms. Brown. This is Chris call from U-Haul company. I'm just calling about a truck that you have out on rental. It was due back early this morning. If you can give us a call back at your earliest convenience. We're just trying to determine how we need to proceed further given that the contract expired as of 1:15 a.m. You can reach us at 5:02-491-4184. Thank you.“ Again, I returned the truck around 9 pm, about two hours after I rented the truck. I parked the truck in the same spot I took it from. At the entrance of the store. You literally had to drive past it to pull into the store. I left the keys in the lock box. So, the only call I should have received was one letting me know my reservation was closed out. The voicemail scared me into thinking someone took the truck after I dropped it off and I somehow would be responsible. I tried calling Chris and could not get an answer. So, I called the 800 number and spoke with a rep who sent a message to the store. Chris never called back to clear up the issue. Chris should have called back explaining his oversight. That would have been great customer service. I realize mistakes happen but the way one clears up a mistake speaks to their integrity and when representing a company builds brand reputation.

I was wrongly charged 2 gallons of fuel while I already refilled the fuel tank before I returned the truck. When I told them their mistake with a receipt, they put the blame on me for taking a picture of odometer. I expected that they would check the truck before totally not just to make an assumption because if they did they would have seen that I already put more fuel in the truck than I used. I am really disappointed.

I was overcharged by 150 miles. I drove the Uhaul from Lexington (UK) to Louisville. No where else - billed $150.00 dollars extra. It is not 150 miles + 92 on my contract = a total of 242. I was billed for 242 miles. I was scammed. Very upset about this.

Change everything. Place a manager at the store. Have employees literally fist fighting in the parking lot while there's 20 people in line. Have more than one way in behind the rental return line so that if one person is returning a truck it doesn't hold up everyone behind them waiting to pickup from the back lot for 40 min.

Waited in line for a very long time for pick up. Staff seemed very unwilling to help people in the store with much of anything. The truck I reserved over a month ago wasn't in. After much debate I was given a slightly larger truck. Was told for the same price. My actual charge was almost double what I was quoted. Overall it was a miserable experience and will use another company in the future.

When dealing with the people at this location it was TERRIBLE. Day one arriving to Kentucky I was treated so disrespectful I was shocked by the way I was being treated. I also only had 30 days for a free unit . I had to reach out to the 800 number as no one wanted to pick up my call . I sent several emails . Went over every email with the lady I spoke over the phone . She even agrees this is unreal how long for them to respond to me . Then hours later I get a email saying I owe $0.00 well yes I moved out over 30 days ago

No complaints, I was offered a free month of storage after a truck rental and that's what I got, no hidden fees, no gimmicks. Staff was straightforward and efficient, as was the entire process. Online move-out made the process painless. Couldn't be more satisfied and will use this location for any future needs even if it's not the closest.

We vacated our storage unit 8 days before the end of the paid month and told the staff. Still, we continued to receive emails demanding payment for the following month and threatening liens and other procedures if we didn't pay up. It wasn't until we went back and visited in person, again, that the situation got resolved. You need better communication and execution among the staff for situations like ours.

Terribke location. Never going to use for storage ever again. Uhaul never vacated me after spending 4 weeks basically calling them and being placed on hold. I can assure you if i have a balance on my record i will be contacting a lawyer because no one at that facility gives a hoot. No security gates stay open and they dont check the lot otherwise they would have seen an empty unit that i left them prior to my due date.

My original reservation was cancelled because they had no trucks. Rescheduled me and had to stand in a 2 1/2 hr line because they had no trucks. Luckily by that time somebody returned a truck. Still had to find the keys before I got to rent it. I was in line longer than I had the truck. Terrible experience. The Gm was the only person working in the store. The guys ours where new.

Very unprofessional place from managers to the employees. They always texting and on social media, tone of voice is very disrespectful. FYI THIS FACILITY HAS A BAD MICE PROBLEM!!!!!! The prices for the storage is not worth it.

Every time I went in to make a payment on my storage unit, I waited at least 30 minutes to an hour every time. I waited so long once that the person behind the counter promised he would credit my account $25. But then he had "computer issues" and said that he would credit my card the next day. That credit never came. I mentioned it to someone the next month, and they said they would take care of it, but they didn't. I gave up trying to get it back. Overall, it was a horrible experience and I'll never do it again.
