2 times we went to unload our truck and both times we were blocked in and couldn't get the truck out. Cause the people returning trucks pulled straight in and locked trucks couldn't be moved. So that delayed us 2 nights of getting our stuff moved in which pushed our moving days up. Which intelled charged us more extra days of moving. That's the only thing I had to complain about other than that the people were nice the storage is nice just the fact that it was our fault I guess but just letting y'all know

SHAWN PCheating customers out of their money. I refueled the tank right before it was bought back at the Thornton right down the street a few doors down and they say it was 2 gals low. They charged me for fuel. Rip off.

Lynne m | Overall ExperienceI requested a truck with an appliance dolly, a regular dolly, two furniture dollie's and 24 furniture pads. When I got to the U-Haul location, the truck, two furniture dollie's, and only 18 furniture pads were available. I had to scramble to find the dollies needed to complete the move. There was no prior notification that type of equipment was not available prior to picking up the truck. This seems like a poor way to treat customers who likely need the equipment requested to complete their move. Please update your inventory processes for this type of equipment so customers can know if it is available.

Mary AAC seemed to be non functional. Property was functional, but didn't seem clean. Return was late in the day, but there was only one employee that I saw trying to do everything. She needed some assistance. She did a great job, but I felt that it was unfair to have only one person managing Everything solo.

DANNY SThe online situation. It was terrible. Wanted to start at 7am but I had To wait till 9am to talk to an actual person. Make this online crap better. Alternate contact- Come on. Do a different way of making sure we dint take off with it or whatever Contacting an agent- I understand ppl are busy, but 9am was faster service than 7 by a long shot. I won't be using online ever again.

JAMES Uonly one check-in/check-out person could have used two people to speed up the process. Paperwork showed starting with 1/2 tank of gas, I checked and it only had 1/4 of a tank. I told them and they corrected it. I'm glad I checked.
KEVIN TWe had to drop off my daughter's car for the hitch early Wednesday and understood that it wouldn't be worked on until 1:00. We were expecting a call when it was ready but hadn't heard anything by 5 pm. I called to check and was put on hold for 13 minutes. Called a second time to find out it was just finished. By that time the traffic was too bad to come get it so we had to pick it up today. I was just surprised that it took 4 hours to install the hitch. It worked out ok and the workers were nice.

CYPRIAN OPick up time takes like 30 minutes at the counter. They said they have their website issue.

JOSEH CMy reservation was at 7:30am on Wednesday, Aug 8th 2024. I arrived shortly before that time to find no one behind the counter. 3 employees who came out from the back would not assist me when I asked them, as they said they did not work for the "rental" part of the business. They said that the counter agent "must be checking trucks in or something." After a counter agent came in, she proceeded to assist the other 3 employees with something on the computer. During this time there was quite a bit of non-work related chatting/discussion about vacations, and other things among these 4 U-Haul employees. Although there were no other customers waiting, it was an additional 4-5 minutes before I was assisted with my reservation. After I was checked in, the counter employee said that she would send someone out back to help me with the trailer connection. When I got back there, no one was there to help. I found one guy at the side of the building (on a personal phone call at 7:45 am) who said that he worked as a mechanic, and could not assist me, and went back to his phone call. There was another guy parking a truck, who I asked, and he said someone would be along. Shortly after that a guy came out to help me connect the trailer, but told me that no one let him know that I was waiting there... This was an overall frustrating experience, and my general impression was that no one working there really wanted to assist me with my rental, and that I was bothering them. When I returned the trailer 5 hours later, the guy who disconnected the trailer could not speak english very well, and told me that I had to go inside to check the trailer back in. I parked, went inside and waited in line, only to be told that I did not have to go back inside, and I could leave. This kind of upset me, as It seems that some employees don't what they're doing, and that directly lead to them wasting an additional 10-15 minutes of my time. I've made 2-3 U-Haul rentals a year on average over the last 10-12 years, and usually have a good experience, especially at these larger U-Haul corporate stores. However, I would not recommend this location specifically as they do not seem to value the customers time or patronage.

AANDA FNeeds additional front line staff to handle the various processes. Check in check out propane sales box & equipment sales. Location had one person on the desk that would have to leave to check yard availability or other. Not enough man power to handle demand without long customer waits.

INA BBad windshield wipers. It rained a lot and I couldn't see very well. Almost had a wreck because of the rain on the windshield. The engine had a bad tick. Pretty rough truck over all.

Christina DThis location was great despite how busy they were. They got me what all I needed and on my way… However, the location at 535 Broadway in Louisville Ky, complete trash.. No help whatsoever. I had a truck reserved for two months only for them to tell me he didn't have the truck I needed at time for pick up. He didn't help me find a truck anywhere else and he didn't even advise me to contact U-Haul for further assistance. He just said I don't know what to tell you, I can't help you. Bad business.
WHITTNEY FThe only complaint I have is the time in line to rent the truck. It was about 25 minutes , the line was out the door. Dianna Gonzalez was excellent, she was calm, efficient and was using 3 of the computers at one time!! I've already sent u one email but I'll say it again. Hire a translated most of the people renting could barely speak English but Dianna was professional with them and helped each to rent a truck, none of them had reservations, so it was slow. Give that girl a raise to keep her or she'll find another job! I promise I don't know her I'm just stating what I observed. When word gets out that u use a translated your business will double, I know it's hard to hire people but money talks. !! By the way all of the other workers were also friendly and worked hard, they have a good crew. I gave a nice tip to one of them and he couldn't believe it. It was a Sat. Morning so I expected a line. I learned along time ago, treat your employees good, compliment they, it means a lot. Thank you and God Bless.
WILLIAM BThe paperwork said a half tank of gas but it was not half tank it was in middle of 1/8 and half tank and that is a big difference when putting gas in a truck like that I only drove 42 miles and had to put 23.00 dollars in just to come close to half a tank in the truck and I have rented these trucks on many occasions and I they do not burn that much gas per miles!

Even when I visited during business hours, it would sometimes take up to an hour to have someone move the truck blocking my unit so that I could access it. Towards the end of my stay, the phone lines to the office became rerouted to the automated system so it became even more difficult to get ahold of someone to move a truck. I planned on keeping my unit longer, but I couldn't keep being unable to access it at convenience like I could at other locations.

The office was closed when I scheduled to move in so I wasn't able to talk to anyone about it. It's pretty big and needs to be patched so that my things don't get water damaged. Went over every email with the lady I spoke over the phone . She even agrees this is unreal how long for them to respond to me . Then hours later I get a email saying I owe $0.00 well yes I moved out over 30 days ago

I can assure you if i have a balance on my record i will be contacting a lawyer because no one at that facility gives a hoot. No security gates stay open and they dont check the lot otherwise they would have seen an empty unit that i left them prior to my due date.

Luckily by that time somebody returned a truck. Still had to find the keys before I got to rent it. I was in line longer than I had the truck. Terrible experience. The Gm was the only person working in the store. The guys ours where new.

I waited so long once that the person behind the counter promised he would credit my account $25. But then he had "computer issues" and said that he would credit my card the next day. That credit never came. I mentioned it to someone the next month, and they said they would take care of it, but they didn't. I gave up trying to get it back. Overall, it was a horrible experience and I'll never do it again.
