The truck was old and beat up, headlights barely worked. I was called the previous day and told the truck was loaded and ready for me when I got there the next morning. When I showed up the truck was not ready and there was confusion if they had the equipment that I rented. After 30-45 min wait they finally brought the truck out it was low on gas and I had to stop to fill up the tank. I also had to return the truck with an 1/8th a tank of gas than I received it with. I have rented with uhaul before and always was an easy and professional experience until this time.James O.

Even though we'd moved out & turned in the gate key card on 12.31.21-Friday & we were told we'd get an email receipt that following Monday, it never came. Instead we got emails saying "your next rent payment is due". I called complaining to an operator, who left a message for the store, that we'd already moved out of the unit. No one from that uhaul ever called us back. It's now 14 days later & still no receipt, nor proof that they'd even checked the unit we'd vacated, yet. There were often employees just standing around when we'd stopped in during our rental period there too. The van I rented had 2 maintenance reminders flashing,, although my use was brief (under 10 miles) so it did not affect me. Your mobile check-in was ahorrendous waste of my time, as the local agent had to actually do it. Your system refused my alternate contact number, and provided no remedy -- truly an absurd and uneeded step, given all of the other verification I providedJames C.

Was sent to farther location than originally scheduled due to truck not being available after booking it, only to be told once I arrived at the San Pedro location that Austin hwy location had truck. Then rep did not walk and inspect truck with me. Also rep left a padlock on back of truck that I did not see until I arrived to load truck. Upon returning, rep said he would credit me for inconvenience but the charge remained the sameJACOB O.
I order a pick up truck and trailer a few days prior from when I need it well a day before my pick up date I get an email stating my reservation was canceled? So I call and ask about it they fix the issue then on top of that they say oh you will have to go to another location for the rentals the next day I arrive for my pick up truck and trailer which out of pocket would have been roughly $45 this Austin highway location tells me that they are not allowed to rent out the pick up truck and trailer together that its not allowed by the company? The funny thing is it was HR who helped me put the order together so these people are telling me that they can give me a 15ft box truck that cost double in price.....Well I'm a contractor I had a job to get done with no time to complain so I take it im almost to the job site I get a call from the Austin highway location they say Mr Mireles we are sorry to say we sent you off in the wrong truck please come back so we can switch it out after returning the truck and getting back to the job site before you know it I have lost $350 in time the next day I call to complain about the whole situation and they say we are sorry we will give you a $50 credit that will return to your card and that the Austin highway location should have allowed me to take the pick up truck and trailer. I returned the 15 ft box truck today look at my account to see that I was charged additional $49.44 plus $104 and some change. To Reenterate I didn't get the equipment as requested I didn't get the price I was quoted I was charged multiple times they make late and lose money on a job and the equipment was not full on gas the equipment didn't suit my needs it made our job extremely difficult I would not recommend this location or company to anyone.JOSEPH M.
Crew at return was ridiculous over gas guage. Only traveled 4.5 miles and was charged $7.00 for fuel. All the etras i rented, turned in early and they ding me for 2 gals of gas. Cheesy!Richard R.

I had a reservation for a cheaper quote and I was ignored and charged more. When I walked in employees were arguing who's going to service me. The lady who did service me was cussing. Customer service was horrible. I was not heard and I was embarrassed.shayla B.

The owner advised me that the trailer I reserved was not available. Only after I requested the $50 (U-haul policy for not having reserved equipment) then he reluctantly agreed to rent me the trailer that I reserved. Upon return the owner tried to add a $5.00 fee for safe trailer rental fee. After a brief confrontation he reluctantly removed the fee. I feel they have a great service for a good price, customer service lacks.James W.

Reported leaking roof in April, was told it would be fixed, it wasn't, said that they would get me a different unit, never did, still leaking in on my belongings in November, lost a great deal to water damage and mold, which I am allergic to. The trailer was caked in mud on the inside and outside. I had to sweep it out since I was moving furniture that I did not want dirtied and did not have time to rinse it out. One of the left tires was low on tire pressure.JASON F.
The General Manager did his best to try and salvage what had been a disastrous situation - My original reservation was bumped to another location and that trailer was not road worthy at all, so eventually after my entire day was lost, I ended up at this location. Melissa was completely unhelpful and made matters worse, causing the general manager to step in and fix things.MILES M.

The truck I drove seem to not be able to shift gears when you're accelerating from slow to faster work the engine very hard. Also I used 1/8 of a tank of gas going 6 miles and they wanted to charge me $10 because I didn't sell it up I couldn't put that little bit of gas in a car or a truck so it looks like I would be giving you guys a gallon of gas for someone else but I guess that's the contract even though I don't necessarily agree with itPatricia R.
