Breaks system not very functional, damaged trailer lock system. The trailer was dirty (full of screws and plastic pieces), I had to ask for it to be cleaned first. Not reliable customer service. I called to make sure the trailer was returned since it was still appearing as rented 7 hours after i returned it, the person told me she'll make sure it's fixed. 3 days later it was still charging me until i call again at uhaul (main office) and ask again. The customer service was much better on the second call

1) The truck was full of dust inside cabin which is not expected for the service we pay. Could been better if the maintenance is been done. 2) Please include the gas charges inside the rental itself, we will be tired already with lot of work / movement and its a pain to go around for just filling gas.

Il y avait deux itinérants dont un complètement drogué qui dormait sur le sol avec sa pipe à crack près de mon storage. Nous avons dû tasser leurs choses qui encombraient le passage dont une table et un divan très sale. Je ne me suis pas sentie en sécurité quand je suis allée vider mon entreposage.

The vehicle I reserved was not equipped with snow tires. The agent proposed a larger vehicle that did have snow tires for the same price. Snow was not cleared off of the vehicle I was going to use and there was no snow brush in the vehicle to do so. The gas tank was below one quarter. The gas cap was stuck and I was not able to take it off. I brought it to the location and they were able to take it off after trying for about 2 minutes. The inside of the truck was fairly dusty and the ramp had construction debris left on it. There was also old papers left on the dash.

The Uhaul app is pretty much useless. It never remembered my password. When I tried to pickup my rental, it was asking my to take a picture of my driving license and was rejecting the picture stating it was not a head shot. Went at the counter and the clerk told me that the app/ web app don't work well and are a bother more than anything. I wasted so much time from me.

The truck was functional, but as usual, kind of low on gas; I definately prefer to get the vehicle full of gas and return it full, that way there is no ambivalence. The truck wasn't super dirty, but the cab could have used a good cleanup, as the dash and the console felt kind of slimy.

The truck I rented was not there when I was supposed to pick it up. Nobody informed me it has not been returned. I had to make another reservation and ended up with a bigger truck then what I wanted and it didn't fit my needs. I was told it was going to cost me the same, but I was charged 160$ over the initial price. I called 3 times the costumer service and made a complaint and still was not reimburse. In addition to that, as I was supposed to rent a cargo van, I had no padlock with me so my Stuf wasn't secured.

It cost me $60 in gas for 30km! $120 total for 60km!! Every time you shift or restart the truck, the "Tow Haul" option lights up in the dashboard. I have the impression that it sets automatically to consume more gas so we have to put in more, then less gas for U-Haul to put in. It's a scam. The truck had Kleenex tissues in the door.

Lorsque j'ai réservé dans votre application pour une fourgonnette le tout était confirmé. Le jour avant d'aller chercher le camion j'ai reçu un appel pour me dire qu'il n'avait pas de fourgonnette disponible dans la région. J'ai dus louer un camion 10 pieds qui était plus chère. Lorsque j'ai retourné le véhicule à St-Hubert j'ai remarqué qu'il avait au moins 7 fourgonnettes et on m'a avisé au comptoir qu'ils étaient disponibles en matinée, qu'il en avait toujours disponible. J'ai étais mal renseigné et ma location m'a coutait plus chère que prévu.

L'essuie-glace côté passager ne fonctionnait pas et un étrange morceau pendait sous le pare-choc avant du côté passager. Les pneus quatre-saisons, c'est illégal au Québec et on m'a dit que c'est à vos risques, compagnie américaine. C'était franchement inadéquat dans la tempête qu'on a eue hier.

The only thing that makes us rate this overall location as average is that the truck we rented was said to be left at 1/4 tank of gas... and the dashboard indicated as such... But it said that there was only 8 miles, we put gas, 75$ worth of gaz (raising thr level to 1/2 tank) thinking that 1/4 tank = 8 miles but well we did 33 miles and the gaz level didn't budge. please make sure to advise your client of the truck's gas cusomption in order for them to not feel tricked into filling the gas tank for you

To whom it may be concerned, I was charged a false cleaning fee and then one of your local store staff has already agreed to refund me, but the refund is still not done. Then one of your local store's female staff, I believe her name is Rose. I am here to complain about her bad attitude and rude manner in the phone call. While I was calling to ask for information about the refund request, she lacked the basic patience for a customer. She didn't hear my statement but kept interrupting me and yelling at me which is unacceptable. What's even worse is that she directly hung up my call very rudely while I believe I kept the manner at all times. The way she treated the customer needs to address your attention.

There was always disgusting junk in front of my locker left by other tenants. I had to make many complaints for that to be resolved and it would take too much time. All was fine beside the little shit who gave me the key to the truck. Barely looked at me, and had a little "I am better than you" attitude. I didn't say anything, because I didn't want to be told to piss off, not get the truck for what I needed, and I just wanted to get my work done. Or else I would have put back that loser back to his place. He didn't say anything inappropriate, or did anything that can be seen... it's just that attitude and the tiny little smirk. Why does that loser think he is better? I showed up around 10h25/10h30am on wednesday the 3rd. It's the guy with long hair and glasses, I think. Fuck that guy

I had to go to a Canadian Tire to buy a adaptator for the trailer lights because it was not possible to plug it on my car. When on a thight schedule, I would have prefer not to loose 1 hour running around town to find the missing adaptator. Maybe having some of those in store would be great! Also, when I selected the location online for pick-up, it was close to my house! But when I got the call from the reprensentative, I had to go a lot further for pick-up, and I had no other choice.

La location à Longueuil puis à Montréal a été faite par 2 personnes très compétentes. Seul bémol c'est mon arrivée à Shawinigan. Je suis arrivé sur une porte fermée dimanche matin malgré le fait que la page Web on annonce que c'est ouvert. I received an email last Thursday saying that my storage had ended and they were sad to see me go. Needless to say, during a very stressful and difficult time in my personal life, waking up to believe that all of my life's possessions and almost $20k worth of musical equipment and instruments was gone put me at the threshold of having a heart attack. I was disturbed by the lack of accountability or offering to make things right. The person who I called confirmed my locker was still locked and in my name and offered me a free month, although no email to confirm that offer came through and no one was willing to honour or even contact the manager for a reasonable conversation about a gesture towards my inconvenience when I finally did empty my locker one week later. I got out of there as fast as I could because you may just rent empty spaces but people fill them with their lives. Really expected some form of a gesture as the person I spoke to on the phone that morning said the email was sent to the wrong person and he profusely apologized to me. I have screenshots of the email date vs the date I actually checked out if anyone is interested in corroborating this complaint. The staff at the desk during check in and check out, although unable to help me with my complaint, were kind polite and professional.

I was initially (and repeatedly) informed that there was a problem with my storage unit payment by email and advising me to log into my account. Since I do not have an online account with U-Haul Du Centre-Ville De Montréal Cité 2000 - Entreposage (my payment details were set-up in person), these daily emails very stress provoking. They also did not indicate what the problem was and/or provide an alternative means of contact. After following up with my bank on August 11th, I managed to contact the U-Haul office to advise them that the problem was at their end (phone call/conversation also on August 11th). I was then informed that this information would be passed along to the Manager, who would text (preferably) or phone if further follow-up was indicated (no text/phone message was received). Unfortunately, the emails persisted until I then received a notice of late payment, but with specific contact information. I immediately followed up by phone (August 16th) and explained the situation, after which, the issue was rectified very quickly and easily. However, this entire situation caused me unnecessary worry, stress, and time, which could have been avoided by providing: - direct contact information (phone/email/webmail) for U-Haul Du Centre-Ville De Montréal Cité 2000 - Entreposage to facilitate rapid resolution/clarification of any issues; - additional information about the respective problem to avoid the email recipient regarding it as spam; - messages in both official languages (many 'movers' to Québec will not be completely fluent in French); - and avoid 'harassing' long-term reliable clients with vaguely worded 'quasi-threatening' messages.

Malheureusement j'avais réserver mon local 3jours avant mon déménagement, une fois sur place ,on m'a expliqué que le local a été loué donc j'ai dû garder tout mon stock dans le camion . Le pire dans toute cette histoire c'est que c'était votre erreur, on m'avait expliqué que je me serais pas facturé pour la deuxième journée de location du camion. A ma surprise j'ai été facturé 2journée de location de camion. J'ai passé plusieurs appels même au états unis ,hélas personne n'a pu m'aider et l'employer (une fille qui travaille de soir )

Great! We looked at a lot of companies before deciding to go with U-Haul. What made the difference in the end was that there were no hidden fees and they did not require us to purchase their insurance (our home insurance already covers our property while in storage). The facility is clean and we are happy with our choice.

Les planchers sont plein de trous. Ceci diminue grandement l'expérience positive de l'entreposage. Les toilettes sont en pauvre condition et demandent un entretien. Votre competition est beaucoup supérieure en terme de qualité. The floors are full of holes. That makes the storage experience much less positive. Washrooms are in poor condition. Other locations are by far superior.

There was oil leaking from the ceiling of my storage unit which formed a puddle of oil on the floor. I told the staff about this twice, nothing was done about it. Very disappointing service.

The system doesn’t allow you to be independent. You always need to phone the Intercom when you get in and out of the storage. The issue is mainly the parking. In order to park the car you have to ask them to open the garage. To load the car there is a huge difference of level so that if you have very heavy things it’s impossible to transport them on the cart provided. You might need 2 people to lift any heavy object and place it on the cart. No assistance at all to understand where my door is, what is the entire process of registration, what they need. I had to go back and forth 3 times cause nobody told what was the entire process and they gave me 1 indication at time. The first Time I waited the agent to have assistance about the registration and I was addressed to another reception. They have me indications about where the office was but nobody moved to show me the way. Of course by being a place where I’ve never been there were different doors and o wasn’t sure the reception one was down the corridor. I had to come Back and ask again. Once there I had to wait few minutes and once avails they asked me a document I didn’t have and had to come back to the car to take the right one. I had already done the payment of the storage online and tought it was done. Lomg story short, also to find the door it’s been a nightmare as I was rushing and from 12.30 I arrived I got out at 3pm only to deposit 2 bags and little things. It’s a big no.

The staff for the rental unit were wonderful. I was able to reserve and use a storage space and the access is very secure and everyone was very nice in helping me in English regarding making my reservation and using the storage space itself. Renting the trailer was the oppostie experience as it was a total nightmare. I would rent a storage unit again at this location because it is so secure but renting the trailer was just short of disaster.

We used the storage for a few years and in general I was satisfied. The yearly increase should be within the Québec Rental Board rules and clients should be notified by email of the “automatic “ yearly increase. There was a time I couldn’t reach anybody by phone so I had to call the head office in the USA.

It would be convenient if a map was supplied to 1st time users. The locker numbers at the end of the aisles DO NOT indicate all the unit #s in that particular aisle. Thanks. Terry Matthes

I reserved for move in date online, was provided a storage room...we get there and there was already a lock on it ( someone using it) so then im told there are no others free. Am given a temporary smaller unit on 3rd floor...we open it..the floor stained brown from drips from the upstairs unit and then we find USED NEEDLES in the crack at the top ( dropped from top unit) i can just imagine what those brown stains were from...was given no other solution. We cancelled and returned home. I will never use uhaul storage they have poor service and allow drug use in their facilities. They obviously do not follow protocol and customer service is horrible.

C'est les services téléphoniques et la facturation qui font défaut chez vous. Pas de réponse aux courriels, transferts d'appel aux mauvaises personnes, fautes de transmission de l'information (nouveau mode de paiement), message d'accueil téléphone à la limite de l'acceptable (accent anglais détestable et information superflue sur le rôle de l'entreprise dans la communauté) - une fois ça peut aller mais extrêmement redondant pour les affaires courantes. Il semblerait que la maison-mère soit déconnectée de ses succursales. J'espère ne pas avoir à changer d'information sur mon compte.

I spent a week refreshing multiple times daily online to find, and finally paid for a 10x10 storage unit, reserved a truck for my move a few days later. Upon arriving at the facility, my 10x10 unit had been given away to someone else because I hadn't moved anything into my unit yet. They waived the cost of two separate units for one month to make up for it but the belongings I have will not fit inside them as the ceilings are far too low. I did not get a guarantee on a 10x10 unit being reserved for me in the next two days, though I did get offered for that to be free for a month, if it were found. The person from the front desk helping me did not make a large effort to explain any of this, I needed to reiterate and ask a lot of questions to navigate and figure any of this out. Not impressed.
