I was not able to connect to your site upon return to confirm location (not my setting...I stayed about 15 minutes on site). Couldn't log in my account to change the pick-up hour, check-in or use the Share function. Tried to call several times, finally got one person who changed the pick-up time. Told her I couldn't access my account, she tried to transfer me to another service, the line hung up... I didn't even start using the truck that my customer experience was already bad. At least the truck worked good, was in good condition and easy to drive. The suspensions could be a little better, considering it is a moving truck and you don't want your stuff to get broken in the transport. Customer service in the shop was okay.ESTHER B.

Système de carte d'accès sophistiqué et très informatisé mais J'ai dû m'ajuster avec quelques difficultés lors de ma première utilisation autonome. Il serait souhaitable de remettre à chaque nouveau client un document plus précis sur le 'ou, quand comment' de chaque étape (.Carte d'accès, Check-in initial, locations des points d'accès, ascenseurs spécifiques, , limite des déplacements, accès au débarcadère et check=out.) La première carte d'accès qu'on m'a remise était au nom d'un ancien client. Je n'aime pas être obligé de NE PAS prendre mon propre cadenas et être obligé d'acheter un cadenas de plus de $10. Sinon le personnel est poli, acceuillant.et serviable. L'application afin de faire le ramassage/retour sans contact est sommes toute assez convivial, par contre quelques frustrations Ã©taient prÃ©sentes. 1- Lors de l'appel de vÃ©rification, l'employÃ© n'articulait pas assez. 2- Il y a deux fois la province QuÃ©bec/Quebec + Qc/QC, et le code postal Ã©tait problÃ©matique en fonction du choix 3. Un bug trÃ¨s irritant au moment de prendre la photo pour le niveau d'essence, si le nombre n'est pas identique Ã ce qui est dÃ©jÃ inscrit Ã§a fait une erreur et il faut recommencer. I was suppose to pick up the truck next to my house on tacherau but the day before they told me i needed to go to on notre dame to pick it up. This led to me having to pay more gas and km. The gas tank was also only a quarter full so i had to stop for gas on my way home and go again before returning the truck . The truck also had running problem. It would shut down on its own and sometimes i had to stop on the freeway to restart it because it would get stuck in certain gears and would rev above 5000 rpm. It was just poor planning and exectution on your end. I wouldnt go to uhaul for my next truck rentaltristan D.

I have booked initially for 24h, I know I did FOR A FACT that I did because I was playing with the timeframe to do a 24h rental on the spot. Somehow my reservation was changed to 9 hours, to be returned at 3h30 AM. This is impossible because we have a curfew in place! I called in the morning about this and the "schedule manager" was pissed off and was really grumpy about it. In the end somehow my bill jumped by 50$, I had no invoice, nothing to explain it. Also the mobile check-in kept screwing up, this was a bad experience.Alexandre C.

We tried to do self check out, but had a problem, so we went inside, waited in line and found out it was because the agent assigned the same truck to two people. So in this case our self check out ended up taking more time than saving us time. Also, we tanked up at the end of the day to the 1/2 point as indicated by the agent that gave us the truck, but we got charged $10 extra for not tanking up enough. I reserved online at a U-Haul close to home to save on mileage 3 weeks before me schedule move. Got a call a few days later telling me the 15' truck wasn't available at the selected shop so had to go to another U-Haul dealer. No choice, I accepted but nothing was offered as a discount for the additional mileage that entails. Then THREE DAYS before my move got another call saying the second place also didn't have the truck I reserved available and that I would once again need to go further than the planed to get this time a 20' truck for the price of the 15'. I asked for the truck to be sent to the original U-Haul dealer close to my house, was told it isn't possible. I asked, in that case, to get a rebate on the mileage as the original U-Haul dealer (3 weeks later) was still advertising having a 15' truck available for the date I required. He told me I'd have to see with the U-Haul dealer myself. I said don't you work for U-Haul? You're calling me for the second time, 3 days before my move and trying to get me to pay way more than anticipated. You find someone that can offer me something decent and you call me back. I ended up only getting a 15$ rebate (laughable at best). On the day I went to pick up the truck (contactless) the truck didn't start. Had to wait in line for an employee to give me another truck. When he switched the reservation he didn't add the fact that I was getting a 20' truck for the price of the 15' truck. I had to argue with two Lachine employee to get the little I was owed. The manager even gave me his card to contact him should the rebate not be applied. Big surprise it wasn't and had to leave three messages and wait a week before I got a call back. I am a regular client, I rent trucks between 1 and 3 times per month. Everytime I go there, I explain I have no problem providing a credit card for the preapproval and reservation, but that want to pay for the rental with cash upon return. Everytime, it is a struggle, the employees refuse, I have to request a manager, or call uhaul customer service before they finally give in and accept my money. Last time I lost a full hour trying to simply get them to accept it, I had to call customer service and make a big deal out of this just so I could pay for my damn rental. I showed them the uhaul policy online that clearly states that although a credit card is required for the reservation, payment can be made in cash. Even their phone message while on hold mentions it. This is very bad service, I'm not asking for anything special, I only want to pay via a method of payment that is accepted by uhaul. These employees at the branch are being very difficult, maybe they dont like to deal with cash but thats not my problem. They are rude to me and make me lose lots of time everytime, even though they eventually have to accept. The whole thing is unpleasant and unnecessary. All staff from this branch including the manager(s) need to be trained better and reminded that cash is just as good a method of payment as any other. The new elevator to the second floor was non functional the day I rented my unit and as such had to move my things into a unit on the 3rd floor and wait for the following day to transfer my contract to a unit in the 2nd floor and move all my things again. Then on 2 separate occasions, the same elevator was not working when I needed to get things from my storage. Last week, I had to get a 300lbs piece of equipment out on a dolly from the emergency stairs because the elevator was broken again. I arrived at 11am and was told the elevator wasn't working. I left my number and asked to be called with an update and waited til 330pm before calling back and being told the elevator would not be fixed that day. I wasted half a day waiting and then had no choice but to move the equipment down the stairs in my own. I don't have complaints about the staff but my unit has a part of the it being taken up by a column and the unit is not discounted for the lost space, which I accepted. However, to arrive there to recooperate items and not being able to, on account of the elevator not working on more than one occasion, makes no sense. Further, I asked that management contact me regarding this and no one bothered calling. I suffice to say, I emptied my unit and didn't bother renewing it.haik m. | Overall Experience
You should change all the rubbers Four Seasons to winter rubbers for winters in Canada. If you don't want to do that.... you should buy some Â«Â Traction AidÂ Â» for all your trucks. You could also be member of CAA to help all the customers who have some problems with your trucks because of the snow. I rented a 15 feet truck and I couldn't move with it because it was blocked only in four inches of snow. I brought back the truck. They kept my money. They offered me a free storage for one month instead of giving me back my money. It is like I paid my storage. They said I was qualify for a free storage! This is laughing at people. I want my money back. I already rented a 10 feet truck during summer time at U-Haul on Notre-Dame.People were very nice and helpful. I have been satisfied. Thé receptionist during our first checking was not helpful. She was tired or upset, mumbling something and couldn't even answer a basic questions as that was was our first experience with U-Haul. I tried the cell phone check in. It took us 45 minutes sitting in my car (in the cold) to enter all the informations. The verification took at least 10-15 minutes. It would have been nice if all thoses informations were asked when we made the reservation the week before. The verification could also be made in advance, like the day before. I had originally booked my storage with public storage and wish I never switched. Uhaul advertises a free month so I took it. I called to make sure that it was real, the uhaul employees assured me that it was and they saw my location that was booked for me when I put in my address. When I arrived onsite they charged me. Extremely shady business I can't believe that's legal. At this point what could I do? I canceled with my other storage and I was already there with all my stuff. U-Haul Cite 2000 est toujours ma place de choix pour l'entreposage à Montréal. Ce n'est pas la première fois que j'utilisais cet entreposage et il est certain que je vais le réutiliser pour mes besoins d'entreposage futurs. Les. déménageurs embauchés pour transporter les biens du camion U-HAUL placé dans le débarcadère (PORTE 5) et recommandés par U HAUL n'ont pas fait un travail impeccable. Ils ont pris plus de temps que prévu et nous avons réalisé à la fin de ce déménagement que le loquet pour fermer un des deux entrepôts choisis ne fermait pas correctement. (N.B. Nous avions réservé les espaces 4002 et 4035). Selon l''employé de U HAUL MONTRÉAL qui est venu à notre demande constater les dégâts, cela n'avait pu être fait que très récemment. Cet employé qu'il faut féliciter a tenu à fixer temporairement le loquet pour que personne d'autre que nous ne puisse avoir accès à cet entrepôt. I got an excellent service from the first call to get information to the last day. Karine Mirambeau and Pablo from the desk office in Montreal-Notre-Dame were very helpfull in person & on email, as it was so complicated to reach U-Haul office in Montreal on the phone from Europe. They have been particularly efficient to solve my extension during the confinement, as I couldn't come to do it. I would definitively use U-Haul storage on Notre-Dame in Montreal again, and recommend it! My only reserve in the overwhole expérience is about reaching the specific storage office by phone from abroad: I had to give up to do so, after 20 to 30 minutes waiting. The only concern I have with Uhaul is that on the last month I just used my storage facility for 3 days, but the person that works for you guys tell me that because of the policy of the company they don't give me back the rest of the money for the days I didn't used the storage. The main point of my negative rate it's your policy of payment of an entire month when I use it only for two days (when you move out). You should give people a credit that they can use for the next Uhaul location.
