The employee who worked on Sunday January 24th at the St-Jacques branch in Montreal gave us a very good service. His explanations were very clear and he was very polite. If you could tell him, that would be appreciated. To improve : we were very surprised by the fact that the truck had no walk ramp. It should be written on your Website.
We had problems logging to the online account upon arrival and had to go inside. The wheels of the appliance dolly weren't rolling properly. We had problems moving appliances with it. It was useless which is disappointing since we paid for it. Otherwise, no problem with the truck and service was excellent (which compensated for the logging problems). Would definitely recommend location. (But would advice checking dolly before leaving).
Never going there agsin i got a surcharge of 60$ but the van was clean when i brought it bavk!!!
I had great help and great customer experience because of Natasha at the Montreal -Ouest location. Five Stars.
The anti freeze liquid node windshield was not good quality. It formed ice crystals on the wind shield after spraying..
Thank you to the employees who were very nice and helpful. I would recommend this location using the "desk" option. DO NOT USE the text option, as it was incredibly long, stupid, asking me 4 different phone number without even explaining the purpose (ending with someone calling my husband!).

Excellent service provided by the employees ! The only improvement needed is regarding the application we needed to use, as we returned the van after the closing time of the bureau. Even if the GPS was available on my cell, the application did not recognize the place we were at, so I could not make the return myself and paid 20$ extra for being done by the employees the next day.

My car has been rubbed in your parking, the rubber cut the muffler off and even you don't have cameras covering the customers parking area. It's your responsibility and I will escalate this situation.

I am always dubious about the fact that you vehicules are registered in Arizona. I suspect that it is because it is cheaper that way...which means you have a reduced contribution to the local economy. As such I prefer using your competitors when possible. Also your vehicles being Americans I suppose that they not meet the Canadian pollution regulations the Canadian safety laws which can be different than usa

I had ordered a self pickup 6:30 am,I came in the morning and the process did not work. the manager came at seven and I showed him the app was not able to work on a brand new iPhone. Not my fault... He did the reservation manually and would not give me the extra 30 minutes I waited. also it ended up costing me more than online by about $20. The Truck : was dirty outside... I had asked for a dolly and it was not in the truck... when I asked the manager he just pointed to where the dollies were. So I had to go get it and put it in the truck. Generally a rude person. Very horrible experience. I will not go back.
You need to communicate (email) in both official languages, not just French, especially in the bilingual city of Montreal. Don't let the language police scare you. We're still in Canada!
my only suggestion would be to increase the number of carts - frequently a problem to add to / clear out your locker when there are no carts available
10 ans d’excellent service
It was impossible to reach the location by phone. The uhaul app didn't work; I couldn't get past the stage of taking a picture of the dashboard. The "continue" button didn't work. I had to go to the browser to return the truck. The place I was told to return the truck to was occupied, and I had to squeeze into an alternate.
I used a 10 foot truck for 2 hours and returned it as I received it. When I got home there was a $25 plus tax charge for cleaning. I wrote to the location to contest the fee and they got back to me saying I signed off on the truck and the fee in my contract and that I left it dirty. I then asked them to provide evidence that I left the truck dirty or to refund my entire rental. They did not reply. I don't appreciate being lied to or taken advantage of and will never rent from Uhaul again.
The storage space is close, convenient, and perfect for my storage needs
The gentleman who helped me with the rental was a prince. I had some issues to deal with, and ne went over and beyond what was required - really bent over backwards to help.
The app doesn't work easily. Had to go in for face to face registration.
i have never had such a bad experience in my life. Agent is not able to answer my question, customer service does not answer, app does not work. I will contact Option des consommateurs to file a complaint. They charge me 20%$ for return after hours while they didi not tell me there is fee for that. I just wanted to returned eralier in case someone else can rent the trunk but i had to pay 20$ while i could keep it and return it the day after
Your online via mobile pickup wasn't work, so I had to wait until store open, which wasted me about one hour of moving time.
it was nice but i dont understand my bill why did it cost me 130$ for a 19.99 truck for 3 hr???????
Service clientèle pour le français après les heure inexistante, ces vraiment déplorabble lorsque vous avez clientèle en français et je ne ose imaginer que ce le moment d une urgence, comme j ai eu la dernière réservation.

I was not told the first payment had to be on a card I had to run to the bank a second time while the movers I paid by the hour waited so it cost me an extra hundred dollars. They should make that clear so these situations can be avoided.
With hacking so popular these days, I would greatly appreciate in not have the employees photograph my driver's licence (for your records).
Respect reservation times and accomodate accordingly when there are delays that are out of Uhaul's control, i.e. allocate more time to the next customer.
Nicely done UHaul. Always like the service and the simplicity of renting your equipment.
Fast and friendly service
Personnel mal formé, pas au courant des promotions faites sur le site. Personnel peu motivé, donnant très peu d'explication sur le fonctionnement de l'établissement. Expérience client déroutante.
Just 20 minutes after renting the truck I realized that I don't need it. So came right back and returned it with maybe 2-3 miles on it. They still charged me in full. No considerations or discounts given.
I would usually give UHaul an excellent rating, but for this move it was a disaster. I had pre-arranged the rental of a second locker for Oct 1 and was careful to ask whether it was OK if I came later to put the lock on because the moving truck would be arriving sometime between the 10th and the 18th of the month. When I got there, I discovered that the locker was rented to someone else. i was told that according to your policy, if someone does not come to put their lock on the locker quickly enough, the reservation is cancelled. I guess I understand why, because you have a lot of no-shows, but I was under the impression that I would start to be charged from the 1st of October automatically. This caused a great deal of inconvenience for us because we now will have to 1) pay more for a larger locker until a smaller locker is available, and 2) move my stuff again into the smaller locker. To avoid this for others in the future, I think your communications should make the rules about reserving more clear and up-front. It would have been nice to have a reminder email saying that my reservation would be canceled if I did not call or present myself in short order. I would have quickly called and resolved the issue immediately.

The person (a woman) at the reception was very nice, professional and expressed interest in my specific needs (boxes, van, understanding mileage specifics, etc). Very good service.

Excellent service by the fellow at the desk at the location. Difficult to reach by phone. There should be the ability to. make changes to the reservation on the web site
The staff is friendly and professional. The service was excellent. I even got a phone to make sure that everything was fine when I kept the van for the full 24 hours rather than returning the van by midnight.
Truck was clean and in great condition, pickup and dropoff were simple and quick, i reserved online and everything was ready for me when i arrived. Will be coming back for future truck rentals

Maybe make a note during the reservation process that if picking up at the office, there will be delays and a line up due to COVID

Good bilingual service. The on- line truck inspection ( prior to taking off) was complicated and the link kept closing too rapidly when trying to upload a photo. Need to programme a longer link.

I've never used a storage facility before and I found the whole experience to be surprisingly easy. The staff were always helpful and friendly.
No body either in the branch or reps of Uhall took time to explain procedure of drop off via online. Once I arrived & website was not working, location share was not working waiting. Time is always very long in order to get a Rep on the phone, not less than 15 minutes all the time!! Also reps are not well trained. One out of 5 seemed pro...
When i returned the truck, the service was not the same like bigining. The agent was not helpful and friendly.
On busy days, Uhaul may want to have more staff available, especially during the pandemic. The people working felt overwhelmed, especially when a couple of insufferable customers started giving the workers a hard time because there were no trucks available without reservation. On top of that, those customers were wearing their masks below their nose! Please give your workers the support that they need to handle difficult people, even if that means adding someone extra to the schedule.
The in person reservation was great with Melanie. The rest was ok. Not what I would expect at pick up or return

Improve the website and the advance registration system: spent over an hour on it, had to start over several times and in the end couldn't tell if the registration had worked or not: got an error message repeatedly

I liked storing at U-Haul but the price was way too high
I found it difficult to find and print the monthly receipts online. The people at uhaul are great but the webpage is complicated and difficult to navigate.

Le local loué n'est pas éclairé. Une porte de débarquement est brisée depuis plus de 2 semaines et n'est toujours réparé. SVP prenez note car pour $230/mois taxe incluse, c'est beaucoup trop cher pour le service offert.

I spent over $6500 at this location in the past year!!! Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I was running late on the day I had to vacate my storage locker by the "deadline" of 12:00pm. I asked the location manager, EMILE MURCIANO, if I could have a grace period of 1-2 extra hours (so as to avoid paying $360 for another month, when I'd be just 1-2 hours late). He flat out refused to accommodate my request. When he was reminded about how good of a customer I was and how much money I had spent at this location in the past year, he claimed that it was out of his control and blamed it on "U-Haul central." I contacted U-Haul customer service and they also tried to convince EMILE MURCIANO to have some compassion and leeway, yet he repeatedly declined to accommodate me in any way whatsoever. U-Haul customer service told me that the decision isn't up to them, but is at the sole discretion of the location manager. So, not only was the customer service absurdly poor for not accommodating a very simple request made by a high-paying customer, the location manager, EMILE MURCIANO had the audacity to blatantly LIE TO CUSTOMERS. He could have easily permitted another 1-2 hours but tried to blamed "U-Haul central." This type of behaviour is egregious. Also worth noting: the larger locker I rented at $360/month had ONE tiny lightbulb hanging from the ceiling and made it impossible to see anything in my unit unless I brought a flashlight. That is unacceptable. Also, there are signs stating that this facility utilizes insect and pest control, yet somehow when I unpacked my contents, there were flying insects in my boxes (which could NOT have come from me). I have videos and photos to support all this. So, overall, I would NEVER recommend this facility to anyone and I would strongly recommend that EMILE MURCIANO receive basic customer service training.

Naturally 24 hour access would be more convenient, but I had no difficulty with the time frame given. People were friendly. Place is clean, well lighted, & had 2 elevators in case one malfunctioned.
