Reservation was useless, system was offline, couldn't get the rental in time. Had to fetch cash to rent, coz CC terminal was dysfunctional, but was not informed beforehand of this situation. Very frustrating when day is planned long time in advance. The clerks were doing their best, but unable to function with their platformMathieu B.

J'ai réservé un entrepôt 7pi x 14pi il y a 5 semaines et j'ai obtenu confirmation. Le jour d'emménager, on me dit que tout ce qu'il reste est un 5pi x 5pi. Il n'y a même pas la moitié de mes choses qui peut fitter à l'intérieur et ça me met évidemment dans le trouble. I was verbally attacked by two employees after asking if what they were doing was procedure. Even the manager lady came out of nowhere to attack me. When returning later another employee voiced his own opinion deeming it unacceptable. This comment will probably flyover your head at head office but there's no room for racism in 2021. The agent did not do a check in when I picked up the truck. Almost got charged 70$ for 1/8 tank of fuel because nothing was explained to me prior to picking up the truck.Maralie L.
Check in online and via phone, slow with lots of unnecessary pop ups. Lock box at the location didn't even open, meaning having to wait for service inside. There was a 20 minutes wait just to enter the space (covid restrictions on numbers) and another ten once inside. Your staff also tried to open the lockbox and no success. Instead, they opened a whole new reservation for a different truck, meaning I had to redo the entire process that I had already completed online. The storage unit for which we needed to transport things to that day closed at 12, so rather than having my rental for 9:30, it was at 10:30 and left us very little time for the actual moved.Caroline N.

Evaluation based upon procedure and not upon the service. Service was excellent. Rental Process is cumbersome and too long especially if one's movers are waiting for the registration to be completed since the movers are being paid by the hour. There was a film of some sort of spray on the windshield, also broken glass in the back seat cut my finger when I put the cardboard behind the seat,over all great time with the rental, we will rent from u-hual. agin . Think the truck could of been cleaner. We had booked our rental for pick up on 7350 Ste Anne de Bellevue, Montreal qc and so we made our way at this location on the Friday Jan.29,2021 and once there they said we had to pick up at other location 8101 Boul. Montreal. It would've been appreciated to hv had an email or a call to inform us address we entered as the pick up location was not going to be it. We were rushing to pick up and start our day but had to go elsewhere. But I must say the girl that served us that morning very friendly and also at our drop off very nice ðŸ'Raffaela C.

i rented a trailer with was filled with snow. the uhaul rep shoveled it out which was nice, but it obvs left a layer of ice and snow in the bottom of the trailer. trailers should be tarped or kept under a roof to prevent this in winter months.Ray B.

Have more personnel as wait time to pick up the reserved truck was an hour. We had a reservation for 8am & arrived at 7:50am. There were 3 clients ahead of us & no personnel on site for at least the first 15 minutes we were there. On m'a demandÃ© si Ã§a a bien Ã©tÃ© et j'ai dit non, mon vtt ne peut pas embarquer dans la remorque la tailgate a l'arriÃ¨re est trop Ã©troite. On me rÃ©pond, dommage et on ne charge la pleine location sans me proposer d'alternatives. ArrivÃ© chez moi, je vois sur votre site qu'une remorque plus grande (pour voiture) m'aurait convenu et que cette derniÃ¨re Ã©tait disponible. Ã‡a m'aurait fait plaisir de payer la diffÃ©rence, mais non, j'ai perdu une partie de ma journÃ©e a me chercher une autre remorque. First of all - I think it is absurd that I reserved a vehicle more than two weeks in advance at a different location in Montreal, only to receive an email the night before the reservation telling me that it is at a different location more than twice the distance from my residence. What is the point in making a reservation? If there is not a vehicle at the location selected during the reservation, it should be the responsibility of UHaul to transport a vehicle to that location. It is a global pandemic, and I had to ask a friend to drive me to the West Island at 7:30 in the morning because the location within walking distance did not have any trucks for me. Again - if I woke up and suddenly decided I wanted to rent a UHaul that day or the following, sure, that's one thing. But to book a vehicle at a particular location weeks in advance and then receive absolutely no empathy or assistance after being on the phone for FIFTY MINUTES is reprehensible. And though that experience was bad enough on its own, it was even more confusing than that, because the p/u location was listed as DIFFERENT ADDRESSES at the same time in the email confirmation versus on my UHaul account, thus requiring me to spend all that time on the phone only to eventually confirm this terrible outcome. This was an awful experience. And to make matters even worse, upon arriving at the location the morning of the rental, the automatic door to the storefront was non-functional, and there was no employee inside to let me in. I had to lurk all around the entire building for about ten minutes in sub-freezing temperatures in December to catch somebody's attention and gesture wildly toward the door to let me in. This fellow was nice enough when I finally had a chance to interact with him, but this is absurd! Overall I was incredibly disappointed with this experience and will absolutely not rent a UHaul again.James O.

Check the truck properly and make sure it's working smoothly because I had a hard time driving the truck. It kept going it's own way even with my hard effort to keep the truck moving straight. The customer service guy Daro was extremely rude. How can a person naturally be so disrespectful let's forget i was a customer. Let's say i was just a passerby and needed help. Can you say politely that please I can't help you now but my colleagues will gladly do tomorrow and it's late??? Does saying that cause anyone a dime??? Daro treatment my husband and myself like trash. We were so so disappointed in his service. But overall the location is great but the truck we used was not working properly we managed it anyway. If I really want to go detailing about my inconvenience with the service on the 19Dec.2020. Then I'll go on and on. For now please do tell the customer service agent Daro who made our experience even worse to please treat people like human beings. The Trailer I had was a 6 x12 open unit. The floor had not been swept out from the last time it was used. The trailer also either had dragging brakes or wheel bearings that desperately needed grease since my truck worked harder to pull this trailer that weighs a mere 1600lbs compared to my travel trailer that weighs 7000lbs and my truck doesn't even know that it is there. The wait time was crazy. The poor guy was alone and had to run in and out but there was a limit to how fast he could go. He was amazingly courteous and efficient though. Frankly, we could have stolen items as the store was alone and there was 3-4 people in line. I know it can be hard to predict customers appearing and it probably can' t be foreseen. Don' t worry, I am honest and watched everyone! I thought I was 45 minutes early but that is how long it took. And I had reserved on linePatricia V.

Staff of these locations are oblivious that their purpose is to service customers. It takes far too long to pick up or drop off a rental regardless of whether you check in online or do it at the counter. please please, fix the self pick up app.....i rented twice a truck recently and couldnt use the app to do self pick up even if i had fill up everything online previously. I had to go in wait 30 min and give all the info again the whole process took close to 45 min instead of 5.....so overall im not satisfied.Maxime C.

Your website indicated that our unit was sufficient for our 3.5 appartment. It was absolutely not sufficient and when I inquired about renting another space i was told there were none available. As it is we have had to split the apartment storage which is not the best solution! The staff knowing this problem did not suggest any other solutions, offer to call up other locations for us, or make any accommodations. In addition the sign in procedure is very strange, using one keypad to log in and then another to open the door to the rental spaces.
