I will never again use the app to schedule rental! Up-Town Uhaul saved the day, after the reservation I'd made and confirmed through the app (weeks ago!) had suddenly disappeared when we went to pick it up... despite email notifications that the order was confirmed the day before! The pick up location was a gas station, where employees have no affiliation or knowledge about you Uhaul order and can offer no help. We called Uhaul cust serv, and were put on hold for 30 min...the same amount of time it took us to drive to the Up-Town location. Customer service answered as we were walking in the door. Lesson learned, technology failed (in the hands of a company that didn't seem to know how to manage it correctly) real human beings FTW!

The pricing is ridiculous-charged for five days when I only used two?

We first reserved a trailer from Chicago Avondale (758028) and the folks there were great- however after getting my Jeep hooked up, the break and turning lights on the trailer didn’t work so they had to find another location for us to go to. It was a hassle to pick up my rental bc my rental was not ready when I arrived. It was blocked in. So I had to switch rentals and when I did this the agent added on safemove to my bill causing a different amount due. I notified them right away and they couldn't do anything about it and made it seem like it was my fault. If it was my fault then why was my original rental $30 cheaper when I went through the checkin process? Then when you change my vehicle there is a $30 increase to my bill that I hadn't checked in yet. The pick up process is suppose to be quick, expect it to take an hour. U-haul is the worst to do business with. I wish there was a competitor nearby bc I would use them over uhaul anyway. Always an issue with business that I do with this company.

I didn't even get a chance to check the mileage when your employee told me to get out of the way because another customer's vehicle was behind mine. I told him I was on the phone and he said, get the fuck out of the way. I told him to fuck off. I immediately drove off without having a seatbelt and without having finished my inspection. I called the store to let them know what happened and I said that in the employee's defense, he didn't know that I had just gotten into my truck. However, he still acted poorly. Then today I see the final receipt and the total bill is $184 for the rental of a 15 foot truck for a few hours? I am very dissapointed.

Customer should not be assigned a new vehicle just because staff does not want to back up 1 vehicle to allow assigned vehicle to exit. Customer should not be told by staff that he or she can either accept new vehicle assignment or cancel the order all together. In my experience, after checking out the first vehicle, that was blocked in. I found the second vehicle assigned, was also blocked in. So, I had to find an outside staff members help to allow exit, to avoid a third vehicle assignment. The second vehicle had dirty side view mirrors and low tire pressure in the right front. My rating reflects your service.

Michael WilsonI did notice that the tires didn't have caps on the tube for adding air so I lost some air during the time I had the vehicle but was able to add air and and worked fine. I would make sure there are caps on all of the tire tubes the next time. Also, the check door light came on when it had no load but it was fine when the vehicle was under load. I did make sure that I locked all doors as I was driving to ensure that the doors didn't come open in case of abrupt stopping. All-in-all the vehicle was great. Comfortable ride.

Every time you walk into the unit you hit your head on a bar and the closing gate because it's way too low to move merchandise into. But I did have a good experience when I rented the unit and I will be renting trucks from you guys in the next few months. Thank you.

The uhaul employee gave me the key and said “Have a good day.” Then I had to ask him to show me which truck it was because they were 30+trucks in the lot, how on earth was I supposed to know which truck it was? Dragged his feet and pointed to a fleet of trucks and said “That one.” Gave us a dirty truck that we had to clean up. It was buried in snow and they didn’t offer to clean it off. Door was broken and the visor was completely falling the whole ride. There was also a left over screw in the cup holder and when we put our drinks in the holder, it broke a hole in the cup and soda leaked directly in it. We had to clean that up. Then when we returned it, they said we were getting charged because we overfilled or underfilled the tank with gas. They couldn’t make up their mind. They kept going back and forth it was absolutely ridiculous. We talked with them for over 30 minutes, showing them that we filled the tank correctly based on the paper that was given us to by the uhaul employee that morning. Even though it matched they continued to say we under filled the tank and are charging me even more money. I’ve rented many uhauls and have never experienced this before. The customer service here was at an all time low. I will never come to this location again. Staff need to be properly trained and actually help their customers and learn their jobs. A refund would be greatly appreciated as this whole situation made my move in day so much more stressful.

One of the two wheel tie downs was too short and would not properly secure the vehicle to the trailer. I went back to the pickup location for a fix and was able to continue on with the equipment. That equipment will need to be fixed in order to make sure the driver's side wheel tie down is replaced/corrected.

You will NEVER be able to drive your car in for access to your locker because they always have the entrance blocked with trucks. The ancient latch on the door was damaged so I couldn’t get my lock open and the mgr, Rodney Smith, left me sitting in the locker area for 30 mins while he hung out with buddies at the ends the lot and then when he finally came, said it was my fault for renting the locker if it didn’t work (how was I supposed to know??), then said it was my lock. The lock THEY provide you for paying $110 for a small, 4x8x4 crappy locker. He was horrible and rude! I do have to say though, that the other employees at the desk were all very nice and helpful. I would never rent here again nor even rent a truck after this experience!

I had called you hall after hours because I ordered a unit at church street new bed mass location on line. And I new I wouldn't get there before they closed. I did get a pass code then couldn't get in simply because the sign read you need a swipe card after hours and the rep we talked to on the phone never mentioned that we had to enter the code on 1 pad 1st then the other so my belongings had to stay loaded on the trucks until the morning. Once there the workers explained that all we needed to do was enter code on each pad. That would have been great but the sign never said that. It says you need a swipe card for after hours access.

This has been an extremely terrible experience and I am going to cancel my storage subscription for a a company that actually values their customers and their time. This has been an awful experience. This online check in system you have is extremely disorganized. I am not sure I'll be doing business with you ever again after this experience.

Shows that there’s terrible communication between the staff and poor understanding of the booking/reservation system in that respect. Furthermore, the Uhaul staff confused my move in date of 7/29 to 7/27, which is not what I wanted. I thus now have to pay for two days (7/28 and 7/27) where I am paying but can’t use the storage because I am not yet in town. Pretty subpar experience.

Not only was this disgusting but the rats ruined an Ethan Allen chair & got into my boxes leaving poop everywhere!! Numerous requests to address this problem were ignored!! Calls & emails weren’t returned. And upon my checkout I found out THAT NO NOTES WERE MADE of my complaints. This Rasheed should be fired!! I’m filing a claim against Uhaul for physical damage to my things & will seek emotional damages as well!! FURTHER, there have been homeless people hanging out at the entrance to this facility for YEARS!!!
