This was my first time renting a uhaul and driving it myself. The process was easy and not too stressful. I appreciated Cameron showing me how to operate all the levers and safety things in the truck before I went out. If your next customer is a newbie, having that walk through and guide about the truck is very helpful. THANKS!

The storage was great. Overpriced. Basically could not afford it any longer. 55.00 higher than comparable storage in the area. Had 3 price increases in short time. . Its actually to bad because it worked for me in the construction business..

Check the trucks for mechanical issues . Found out the alignment was bad in the truck , both front tires were extremely low on air , truck was actually tilted , drop off location the gentleman noticed the issues right away ! The back leaked and my furniture got wet and full of salt from our 15 hour drive !!! I was told to return truck at 1/4 tank of gas but was then informed at drop off the gentleman at the pick up location switched the print out on me so I had to pay for gas . Not happy at all , worst drive ever .

I don't want this comment to come back on the local uhaul because they were great. This service was completely messed up. Our movers were told they were moving a studio, one bedroom with no stairs. I personally communicated that we were a 4 bedroom with 3 levels...it cost us an additional day with the truck plus a huge fee to get the movers help for an additional day. The move was very stressful. But the absolute best thing was uhaul!!! Every employee i talked to was kind and went above and beyond to assist me. Don't rent out tricks with less than a 1/4 of a tank of gas. I never had a truck that low which caused me to be late and cost an additional day and mileage charges. I missed my window of time to complete my job. I'm a frequent customer and would like to have a credit for this time and mileage. Thanks

While taking the 4 million pictures uhaul requires to avoid a stupid charge that shouldn't exist, I accidently locked the keys in the cab. I immediately called uhaul and let them know and was told not to worry about it, they likely have a spare key. I then called again in the morning, and even though it was within business hours, no one answered at the location so I got pushed to corporate. Once again I was told not to worry about it and that the location would call me if there was any problem. 2 days later I got $155 bill, that no one told me was even a possibility, to "cut a new key". If I had known they were going to fuck me over I would have just called AAA that night and had them pop the lock. Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. I won't be using uhaul anymore.

Better explain where to drop off equipment if drop of areas are full. Or have a more clear indication where to drop off equipment. As a first time user of the service I wasn't sure where to drop the equipment off during business hours. But this is minor. All in all definitely will use U haul in the future

Rutland, as a city, has a derelict reputation. But the gentleman who helped me rent a pick up truck at the Rutland, Vermont location was EXCEPTIONAL. I left feeling like we were old friends. I only needed the pick up for a few hours to move a sofa & the experience of renting the truck was VERY easy. I don't do "apps" nor use my cellphone for check ins & all that. I called, reserved a pickup for Thursday evening, & when I arrived it was a simple process of checking in & doing the "paperwork". I prefer the in-person touch of meeting with a representative so I can ask questions rather than it all being through apps/remotely. Patrick was knowledgeable, patient, & personable- the three most important qualities I look for in a customer service representative. When I arrived he was outside painting the windowsill of the front of the store. He immediately greeted me & I said he'd be right in after closing up the paint can. The store was clean, well lit, & well stocked. When I returned the pickup a few hours later, I would have preferred a bit more lighting, but overall I felt safe & confident as I am a woman & I was alone after dark at a closed business. Patrick had already walked me to where I would need to return the truck & walked me to the key drop box so I would know where to find it. He pointed out the security cameras & I felt like that was more for MY peace of mind than for the store making sure the trucks were safe. I've rented UHaul moving trucks in the past in other cities & NEVER had a positive experience with the stores or the representatives. With Patrick you have a gem! Thank you!

The people at this location are fantastic: friendly, helpful, understanding of customers' needs. But I would never recommend Uhaul because at the corporate level, things are terrible. I spent a half hour at home "pre-registering" so I could "save time" at the counter only to find out that NONE of the data I entered was preserved, and it all had to get entered again. What a waste of time, after a promise of speed and convenience. The computer was slow. The card reader didn't work. The truck I got sounded terrible and had to be traded in for one that was in good repair, which took up more time. Luckily there was responsible and courteous personnel at the rental location who ecognized the seriousness of the engine problem and promptly expedited an exchange to another truck. That took another 15 minutes. In all, it took an hour of standing around, when supposedly the process was supposed to be a breeze. And what about this new system corporate has in place of verifying the vehicle's condition before rental!? Now corporate expects the customer to do all the work, to manage a clunky website of dim photos of all four sides of the vehicle on my tiny cellphone screen in the glare of the sun to document its condition. Why? Because corporate wants to cut costs, cut costs, always cut costs, by puting all the burden of everything on the customer, caring only for their bottom line. But the worst of it was the invitation to "save time" and skip the line at the counter by pre-registering, INCLUDING my credit card number AND EVEN the credit card CVC number!! How delighted do you think I was to have to do that for nothing? Your computer system is in shambles. It could have taken us 15 minutes tops if it had all been done in person on paper, like in the 1960s. Instead it took an hour at the counter, plus my own time at home. Ridiculous.

the uhaul place in Rutland vt was very easy to deal with. all the other closer places to me had no openings, but i called the Rutland store and they found me a storage unit right away. I went down there and paid for it. They were very helpful and easy to work with.

I'm am beyond disgusted with this place and how they treat their customers!! I have had this unit as well as another for a couple years now! I have always made my payments, the whole 9 yards. When I went to go and get my Christmas tree and decorations, I opened the unit and started seeing mice traps placed all over uhaul and no one ever called or informed me of a rat or mice infestation. When I opened the bin that was in my unit, my white tree was yellow and the tree as well as the bin was filled with mice feces, urine and a load of rice! Same wit my decorations box. When I called the Rutland uhaul to notify them the manager was so RUDE!! saying I was making this stuff up and so on! So I stopped paying my bills hoping to get someone's attention, only attention given was if u want to abandon the unit or auction! I told higher up about the incident they were jus concerned about money they didn't care about MY hard earned money paying for the unit as well as MY personal belongings inside! Paying HUNDREDS of dollars a month you expect your items not to be completely ruined! I paid off both accounts and have moved out of the large unit, coming back to do the same wit the smaller one. The manager of rutland uhaul is the biggest joke I've ever did business with! I will not talk to him or do any other business with uhaul. Which is really sad cuz I have rented with you guys multiple times and have multiple units! I also have many family and friends that do business as well. We will be taking our business elsewhere, with a company in Mendon. I'm glad to be cutting ties! The one thing i will say is the Travelimg Manager, I believe his name is Peter, from NY, that man was a gentleman, helping any way he could! He went out of his way , above and beyond to help me get everything situated to move out all my belongings. I even told him about the manager and he let me know that multiple customers complain about him! Don't you think you guys should do something? Original move-in date 9/9/22. Clean out on 10/2/22. Access door broken, could not move out sofa. Rep indicated no charges beyond our one month rental would accrue. Door not fixed until 10/17; moved out sofa on 10/18. Continue to get bills via email and land mail. Communication on site has been pleasant and helpful. The interface within UHaul obviously very poor. We should not be getting "late fees" and "late bills". We did all as planned/requested. Please stop forwarding me bills and additional charges. Storage unit flooded out due to a building malfunction. I lost personal possessions and would not get reimbursed for them your building insurance should have covered my losses. Your business practices suck

I had to rent two units, as when I arrived the one large one I was told over the phone was available was not the same afternoon when I arrived. OK, then I rented a cargo van to transport my stuff to new house (moved from Cleveland to Vermont) and when I rented the van, I got emails promoting a free month of storage with my truck rental. That seemed backwards to me, having gotten the units first and not told about the deal? Also, I paid for a portion of August as I moved in the third week, then the entire month of September, but I emptied the units on 9/12. DO I GET A REFUND on the rest of the month? The lovely people at the store said they were booked and so happy I was opening up units for other customers. HELLO. I paid more in the first place because the one 10x10 unit I needed was rented out from under me. Then I did not occupy for the full term. Please advise. The facility had a pipe burst they took half of my stuff out and never returned it back to the unit. The insurance company that is over my claim is taking forever to keep in touch with me and re-issue my money back for the stuff that was thrown away. I would not recommend using U-Haul ever again it was the worst Experience. When I got there to try to clean out my storage unit I had trouble with the lock politely went in there and ask for help and was told they are not allowed to help me I said to the lady I’m trying to clean out my unit I need help the lock will not open her boss said we have to call locksmith I said no you do not I have a code I will not open was very disrespectful going back-and-forth with me the Lady was just trying to help but her boss was very rude and disrespectful I would not recommend them ever again to anybody. The customer service just to get to the main location takes hours of waiting just to sit here and talk about something that Customer can’t help u with.And customer service tells you to go to the location if you do not have a car how are you going to get to the Flippin location does not make sense.

Danielle is the most efficient, wonderful person you could have working for you. She was very helpful, thoughtful in helping get the right size storage unit that I need. Even though Jeffrey did not follow the plan Danielle and I had made, Danielle was able to make everything work for our needs. She was amazing on the phone giving me options of not having to unpack a uhaul after being on the road for 3 days and with a broken foot. This lady is a true godsend!! Couldn't find a better person to help with your customers. Give her the utmost rating 10 out of 5. She goes way beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. You are truly blessed to have her working for Uhaul!!!

My husband and I have had a unit for a month and we have had nothing but issues accessing our things. We have a heated unit, but it doesn't do any good if you can't get inside to your things. Paid for another month and the guy never apologized or gave us a discount for not being able to access our things and having to pay a friend to store some of our belongings because we couldn't get in to the unit.

Kris runs one of the best uhauls I have ever interacted with. From truck rental to storage units. The Rutland facility set a standard for me that I judge all other uhauls...of the 5 others I have used throughout new England this one is still the best.

Was frustrated because I only have a cell phone and no land line and they wanted / needed 3 numbers. Very upset and unnecessary !! The young girl charged my account for my one way, one free month storage and the account has NOT been credited yet !! Waiting to see if it comes back through for credit.

When I went into the storage unit there is a big black spot on the floor. I think they should have not Rented that unit out until it was cleaned the black spot on the floor was really a disappointment. I am kind of iffy if I would recommend this to someone else. Because like I said the storage had A black spot. To even open the storage unit was very hard. I had to physically go get the manager to show me how to open it. They should give you directions in the handbook to show me how to open the storage units.And others to know how do use the unit and close the unit.

Told me the rate is $69 a month for any unit then a month later told me it’s $169 a month and nobody there would tell me $69. Never had me sign any paperwork so the second shift guy clearly had no clue what he was doing. Terribly managed site and poor training.

It was convenient and easily assessable at any time. We were storing pump supply. So I was in and out a lot. The only draw back. Sometimes trucks or trailers were left in front of or close to our unit. If we need more storage in the future, we will be back.
