my only issue was the zip tie on the unit. i understand why it is there and was not told there would be one on the unit. if customers are made aware they could bring something to cut it off with. i had nothing to cut it off with, so i had to walk all the way back to the office to borrow a pair of sissors, then back to return them when i was finished, a mild inconvenience.

Excellent customer service from Amir! One thing though about the store: the packing paper was on a shelf with a listed price of $6.95; however it rang up as $13.95 which I did not catch until I got home. I had bought 2 packages which came to $27.80 instead of the expected $13.80. I may only need one package, so I hope I can return the other one!

The Gentleman that took care of me is absolutely amazing! I don't recall his name, but he is a younger African-American man that is as professional as I have ever dealt with. He is respectful, professional, knowledgeable, polite, you name it. If I were a business owner, I would do what it takes to get him on my team! When I picked up my rental, when I opened the door, there was some dirt in the back. I made mention to the the gentleman about the dirt and he apologized, rand and grabbed a broom, and promptly swept the trailer out. He hooked me up, checked the lights, and had me on my way in no time. When I returned the trailer, he was right there to help me with my return and got me out of there in no time. I feel really bad since I do not recall his name, but I want to make sure you realize what a gem employee you have. He is definitely one I would recommend for a promotion. He is just that great of an employee!

I called corporate office and told them someone stole chairs out of my truck. They said had to contact my facility because they didn't have access to cameras. I contacted them and was told they would review cameras and get back to me in a day or 2.. I never received a phone call from anyone. Nor a return call from corporate to see if my issue was handled. 😖

The service was excellent!! Very friendly and a great help. The truck, however, left a lot to be desired. It was the LOUDEST vehicle I’ve ever been in. My health app was giving me alerts about dangerous noise levels. I couldn’t hear my gps either. It was somewhat dangerous because there was no way I could hear a siren either. It needs to be fixed before someone else uses it.

The first truck’s check engine light was on so they swapped out another one for us. Then that was blocked in but was able to get it out. The only thing they needed to replace on the truck we used was the wiper blades. The truck ran great and the gas mileage was good too.

The customer service was excellent, but the vehicle was not in great shape. I was using the cruise control, and every time we went down at hill it made a noise in the back end. The tire pressure inside the vehicle would say that the tires were zero, but I would stop and fill up or correct the tire pressure and they were at the correct psi.

When I had previously rented a truck, having my auto insurance with me was not required, so I was unprepared when I showed up for a cargo van. I was forced to use a 10 foot truck instead.

The storage facility itself was well-lit, but not my unit. Also, my unit was locate in the worst possible area, where there was an opening and what looked like incomplete construction above, on the ceiling. It was creepy! I’ve had much better storage units.

Our house flooded and these are the items not impacted by the flood, but would be in danger of left alone while home dries. We appreciate that we were treated like family during this crisis. Facility layout is perfect and it allowed us to move things in quickly so we could keep returning to the home and retrieve salvageable personal belongings. The staff at the Cuyahoga Falls location are friendly, but I did not like being charged $33 for gasoline for a local move of only 28 miles. When I appealed the charge, I was told the manager could do nothing about it because the rate is set by the corporate office. This seems like a non-attempt at resolving the issue and passing on a fee that is clearly out of line with current gasoline prices at the local and national levels. This incident left an unfavorable impression about doing business with Uhaul in what would otherwise have been an excellent opportunity to recommend it to friends and family members which is what I have done in the past.

Threat would be enough for a 5 star review but Marcus was a truly a joy to deal with and was adamant about disclosing my mileage and fuel surcharges; and thus, how to avoid them. I rented an 8 x 5 trailer one way from OH to AR, which is a 15 hrs drive. I received a call the day before from UHAUL to let me know my 8 x 5 trailer would be available at 8:00am the next morning for pick up which was great. What wasnt so great is when I got to this location to pick up my 8 x 5 trailer, they said someone had cancelled my reservation and they did not have an 8 x 5 trailer for my rental. They did give me a 6 x 12 trailer, which was a nightmare driving 900 miles in a snow storm, and it cost me $120 more in gasoline to reach my destination. I have rented a great many trailers for personal and use in my company, however I have never been more disappointed in your service than I was this Christmas. At the very least you should credit my card back $120 to cover the extra gas I had to purchase by being forced to pull a larger trailer than I rented. Let me know what you think, if I do not hear from you I will be lodging a formal complaint with the BBB, look forward to hearing from you. Steve Kaza

Have the trucks ready to be safely driven instead of having the back door frozen shut and a foot of snow on the windshield. Failing that, provide something to remove the snow with instead of making the customer beg you for a window scraper. Also, when a customer has reserved a dolly, provide and explanation as to why you don’t have a single one available in the entire store instead of saying “we don’t have any”.

The inside of the windshield was filthy, which I had to clean some of it to safety drive the vehicle. The left head light was angled to the left across the yellow line on low beam. The interior of the truck was a little dirtier than expected, also had a cigarette wrapper and a butt under the seats.

First time renting cargo van, show people how everything works inside the van. Like windshield wiper switch, where is the gas entry for filling etc. also if I use It for two hours explain the difference in price. I kept it over night, but could have brought it back that evening. Thanks, a good first time experience.

I rented a ten-footer; was not told or it wasn't written there was no ramp to get large items up into the truck. When I arrived to pick up the piano and pull the ramp down, of course it was not there. When I called back to the U-Haul office, they said only 15 footers have ramps. I told them it would pf been good to get this type of information before. I had told them, I was moving a piano. The whole trip was a waste, and I was out more then 100 dollars.

UM I NEVER RENTED A UHAUL SO SOMETHING ISN'T RIGHT

While my experience was good just a few things id like to express. When renting i requested 12 moving blankets and an appliance dolly. After signing contract i was pointed to a dolly(why not have it in truck or offer to take it to the truck). Then i was told were moving blankets are and for 12 grab 2 bags.(again why not have them in truck or offer help). When i found the truck which was a little tough in to cold rain i opened the back to put the dolly and blankets inside i found the truck has other peoples belongings inside. i went back in and was told to unload it on curb behind truck and offered a discount. I unloaded it and left. When i started moving i opened the blankets to find 2 backs only consisted of a total of 5 blankets. Upon return i was greeted by the nicest girl told her the info above and she handled it all in a timely manor, She is the reason for high marks on the survey, She saved the experience for me. Oh the stuff i unloaded was still on curb next day when i went back, I pointed it out to her and she thanked me for telling her. Im guessing she had it cleaned up

Gabbie was absolutely the most friendly, knowledgeable, n helpful employee at this location. My only issue would be is if u had/have employees from other locations to fill in/cover that they be trained to do the job. I found it very difficult to do what I needed when the only employee that was there came from a different location and was very animent to tell me that he's only certified to fill propane tanks. Really? Then why is he even there? I ended up comin back 3 times just to get another unit cause he neglected to tell/inform me that the person who was there the next day got off early making it difficult for me to store anything on the day that I absolutely needed it. That was not only frustrating but left me extremely annoyed especially when he laughed. I seriously didn't think there was anything funny about it. Training in all aspects of the job, regardless of which location they're from, and whether or not they have storage at there location or not, they should be trained before going to a location that does more than just fill propane tanks. This can not only be annoying but also extremely frustrating, especially when you have employees laugh and think its funny that I/anyone have to continue to go back and forth just to have something done on something they should have already been trained to do in the first place.

We were helped by a very nice young man. Rented room 2388. we needed a lock so bought one and also paid insurance of $7.95 for first month. We picked 4 digit code to get into the building. He was not sure of order entering # or* Later got that from another employee. When we opened room there was a new lock laying on the floor. We used lock we bought on unit. I took found lock to office. Young man was not there. Another man who was from Kent location advised the found lock was included with the rental. I showed him our receipt that we had bought a lock. He wasn"t sure how to issue a refund so advised I come back when Manager was there Had him note on receipt that I had brought the found lock to office. We are happy with location of the room and was it was clean. We appreciate fact that first month was no charge also. I will stop in when we bring boxes to storage. Employees we interacted with were helpful and pleasant. Thank you Susan Coldwell

It was fine. When I was moving into the storage unit I was told to go through one area but I needed to go through the other. I had some heavy stuff to store but there was no elevator to go from the second level to the first to where my unit was on the first. I spent a lot of time trying to find my unit from the oneside. The directions for the entry code are confusing for a first time user. Ultimately this was a good facilty just that first day I moved stuff in I could have used a little more help.

They were able to get me in after a different storage facility gave my reserved unit away. The other place then tried to give me an outside unit which I did not request I specifically wanted climate controlled but the new outside unit was infested with roaches. I came to uhaul they were able to accommodate me immediately with a climate controlled unit. The staff was really nice and the unit was really clean.

This is most unorganized place I have ever seen. We were at the facility at 6:45AM to make sure we were there when it opened to empty the unit. We were told that the night before closing person locked the keys INSIDE. Not sure how you locked the INSIDE then leave but guess anything is possible. The employees seem to have attitudes about management and working there. We over heard an employee telling another that he is about to quit because of manager. Being a manager at a store myself, you DO NOT voice your opinions about the store, employees or the manager ANY WHERE on the floor or behind the counter where customers can hear. 2- There needs to be at least 1Employee that can make decisions ON EVERY SHIFT. The facility itself is clean and convenient.

In my opinion most if not all employees I dealt with at the facility itself (NOT the employees who assist over the phone or via chat) they all need better training on the facility, the U-Haul products and services & especially customer service. I was given incorrect information on my storage unit and procedures regarding my 3 month use of the facility. I was grateful to get my belongings out the storage unit and end my business with U-Haul at the Cuyahoga Falls location. It was one problem after another with the staff. Management of the location was uninterested and extremely unhelpful and lacked knowledge of the job she was attempting to do. I won’t be back as a customer!

The van was old and shabby. The ride from Maryland to Ohio was terrible because of the loudness from the vehicle (I couldn’t hear the music nor the conversation with my husband) and it drove rough. The check engine light was on the entire duration. This vehicle should not be used again for long distance travel. I always have a difficult time using the mobile app for online check-in, but this was the worst experience yet. In the past, if I was a unable to use the online check-in service, which was always, an agent inside the store would assist me. This agent in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio turned me away and didn’t even attempt to assist me. He said “I’m not from this store and I don’t do anything with storage units. You will have to use the online checkin or call customer service. Since I was only there to check in and get my unit number and access code, I left the facility to call customer service. They were also unable to assist me. I lost my Maryland driver’s license during the transition and had my VA ID and my Passport ID cards. Although your app states “government issued ID OR driver’s license” it does it accept Passport ID cards for a storage facility, which is contradictory to what the website (app) states. After being transferred to 3 different people, a representative finally advised me to go back into the facility and ask the on-site agent to contact his supervisor to assist me. Finally, after an hour or so, I tried the online check in using my drivers license from Georgia that I found in a box, which I haven’t lived since 2018 and no longer use, but it didn’t expire until 2024, and was able to check in on the app. I’ve used U-Haul several times since 2004 and this has been my worst rental experience.

Everything is clean, the unit hallways are well-lit, and the dock area always has carts available. I'll likely be back in the future and would recommend this location for anyone with storage needs.

My only issue for not giving 5 stars was the confusion of where I was to unload at. I was told to go in one area then when I finally was able to get the truck backed in, I was in the construction area. I have to go back to the other side of the building during the busy of day with heavy traffic. Clean place, secure, just some unnecessary confusion on where to unload.

Terrible experience I rented a unit that's apparently under construction I've no access too. No sympathy at all I literally went with my truck full of stuff to put in storage and had to drive 30 extra miles to my apartment park the truck over night and then rent a storage unit not at uhaul and then drive it back after unloading. The manager didn't get back to me for 3 days and that's completely unprofessional.

What a poor customer service experience this was. 12/13/22 at approximately 4:40PM Eastern I walked into U-Haul to rent a storage unit. There was a gentleman working behind the count who did greet me when I came in. As I walked closer to the counter he was engaged on his phone which happens. The issue occurred when he continued to be engaged on his phone and not say "hey sorry I'm talking to my manager or something at home came up, etc." There was nothing more important to him than that conversation. After a few minutes (literal minutes) I asked him if I could rent a storage unit. He very briefly showed me the units and then went back to his phone. I asked pricing questions and he wasn't sure. Eventually he looked them up and told me. I agreed to rent a unit and had to go to my car to get my wallet and phone while he helped out another customer. When I came back I started asking questions and he dove deeper and deeper into his text message conversation. Not all my questions were answered and I felt ignored and that I was wasting both our times. I also asked how do you lock the unit, and he said you need one of those locks behind you... so if I didn't ask that question I would have never had a way to lock this unit? It was at this moment I noticed him holding a blue vape in his hand... and I thought well for sure he's not going to smoke this with customers in the store... I was wrong. After the he started getting the paperwork going he starting vaping in the store behind the counter with out trying to hide it. I didn't know your employees were allowed to vape in the store? I think this is a major health concern with people having breathing issues as well... To put the final cherry on top, he gave me a key card to enter the building. Never once did he explain how to use it or show me where to go to use it. When I asked for a second key card for my wife he got an attitude and said just give me a 5 digit number instead, it will take too long to give you another key card. Guess what... I don't want a 5 digit number... I wanted two key cards. There are so many storage units around Cuyahoga Falls at much cheaper prices. Only because I need this unit ASAP will I be staying and paying for the service. Something needs to be done about this poor customer service and vaping in the store.

Cross country move with one month free storage while we looked for a home, was perfect. The only frustrating thing was finding an affordable truck rental one way from CA... so we had to p/u in Arizona. Which wotked out fine, and the staff at the p/u and d/o were super helpful. I would have given U-Haul storage an excellent review But upon my move day on July 28, 2022 after having my belongings in there for two years and four months, as the movers were taking out my furniture and storage bins, I had black on numerous belongings, A number of the storage bin tops were covered in this black along with my antique cloak stand, my leather couch, the top of my dining room table, and a lampshade that was completely destroyed by the Black. I haven’t looked closely to all my belongings so I could find more as I start to unpack and look over my other furniture. I know it could have been worse but I paid the higher amount in the controlled climate storage units to keep my belongings safe from the elements. When I took pictures and showed Gabrielle she informed me that they worked on the roof over my storage unit. Being that moving days are always stressful, I did not put up a big stink about it at the time but Gabrielle did Give me the number of the insurance company that U-Haul uses. I will give them a call. Our storage unit had a significant amount of rust like material that had fallen from the ceiling. We swept it out ourselves before placing our stuff inside. There were no trash receptacles in which to dump the sweepings. In all fairness to the attendant on duty, he was working solo and he tried to encourage me to accept a better unit. Since the unit was near the loading dock we opted for the less clean one. The first-month-free was very much appreciated! Overall outstanding experience.

I am having issues with the bar lock in the door- it doesn’t slide over and the employee yesterday was no. My only offer for feedback would be to check the facility for moisture control,and possibly carpenter bees? Upon cleanout, we noticed some mildew smell (and saw evidence on the AC tubes) and we had sawdust from something that resembled carpenter bees on some of our items. We were not upset in any way, it comes with an older building, but just wanted to let you know. All in all we would totally use this facility again and I have already recommended it to others. We paid $170 a month for an indoor temperature controlled unit. When we moved out this weekend many of our furniture items were damaged with rusty brown water stains. Pieces of furniture are ruined. The overall experience was great I would recommend I would advise a call system those days that Uhaul location is short staff just because the wait time can get really ridiculous I've waited 45 minutes before just to swit h the Uhaul storage unit size. Great promotion idea would be pay Uhaul fee on time for like 3months get that 4th month free etc.

The supervisor initially tried to double charge for the "first month free" wanting me to have the month of June as a no paying month. (pay two months upfront). However, I'm on a fixed income and could not arrange other bills accordingly. The store quoted me "$100.00" a month but in actuality the monthly cost is "$128.00." They refused to send me the appropriate invoice for payment the month of May until I filed a complaint. I have yet to receive an invoice for my "July 2021" payment.

This UHaul facility, in Cuyahoga Falls, made it easy to move. All of the employees are efficient and helpful. They treated me with respect. Even when there was a small issue with a start date, it was resolved immediately - on the spot. If you need to store or move, this is the place to go.

My only complaint was in the winter time my unit stunk like an old rubber belt burning and some of my items toward the top had dark brown grease looking drips on it. Nothing that couldn’t be wiped off, it just smelled awful.

I only had my unit for 6 months and every single time I came to the unit my swipe card did not work even though I was told it would, It said I needed to be checked in so I would have to walk all the way around the building to the office where I originally got the unit and every single time no one was there. On my move out day June 1st 2021 my movers showed up at 9am and it was supposed to be open at 8am, I had to walk all the way down and around the building to find no one in the office again, I was very frustrated because I was paying the movers by the hour so it was wasting more of my time and money. I understand if they are understaffed but it is absolutely unacceptable for them to not have anyone supervising that desk when customers are coming in. I am very displeased with my experience and will not be using uhaul storage again.

(5/22/21) We got there after an online move in and the unit was locked, we called someone he came after we waited for at least 10 minutes. When unlocked there were things in the unit that belonged to uhaul. The man helping me said he was going to talk to a manager and we were left waiting for over 25 minutes for him go come back while being unable to move in our things. There was supposed to be a lock waiting for us in the unit when we got there and there wasn’t so after making us wait for we’ll over half an hour total I then was told I had to drive around to the other side of the building to pick up my lock myself. I get over to the office and no one is there and I stand waiting for 5 minutes while the phone is ringing and no one picks up or comes to help me. I then was greeted with an attitude. If we hadn’t already paid and didn’t have another option I wouldn’t have stayed. I had a very bad experience I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone.

Very poor integrity of the locker door! It would seem to retract all the way up so we could access our items then fall down a few feet all the sudden on us. One person would have to hold it will the other treid to pull things out. Bad experiance! When explained to the person checking me out he didnt seem to care or have a comment! It fell on my head once!!

I don’t like the ramps bc there is nothing to hold on to & no step up to where you check in It’s supposed to be climate control but it has always been hot in there Stuffy There's always condensation the floors & in my unit I actually had damage to a piece of my furniture I ESPECIALLY that you don’t credit money if you move out a few days after you due date!

I rented a 10 x10 room indoor room. There is no number on the door. The room is under 8x10 in actual dimension. The tag on the latch had the wrong room number on it. I found the right room so that's not a big problem but I am paying for a 10x10.

The mobile website was very glitchy and hard to use. The alarm went off when we got to our unit and opened it, following directions. There was no lock inside the unit as promised. We decided not to use the unit and never moved anything into it.

Your help in store and on the phone were not customer oriented. Not friendly and not enough help in the store. The best experience I had was when I closed my account. The gentleman that helped me knew what he was doing and there were no delays in getting it done. I will say the visit was perfect as soon as I find out the money isn't taken out of my account at the end of the month. That it is truly closed.

Rosie and Mike took my name and number and said they would call me if one became available. I also called to check and Mike & Rosie were ALWAYS pleasant.
