Taj MAfter calling in advance to ensure the reserved trailer was available for pick-up there was still confusion at the desk and the pick-up process was prolonged and stressful. The trailer coupler was damaged and very difficult to use. I requested a locking mechanism to ensure the trailer would remain attached to the vehicle. The attendant said there is a lock designed for this purpose but the U-Haul location did not have any available. The trailer was clean and, once safely attached to the vehicle, performed well. The drop off process was efficient. Although it was difficult to communicate with the attendant because he was on the phone (ear buds) for the entire length of our interaction. There is an excellent variety of equipment to rent.

Ahmet ASafety chains on trailer should be chains not substituted with wire that won’t catch dislodged trailer safely. This is an odd and questionable mode to the safety equipment on the trailer.

Mario PPositive: Good selection, good counter help, very helpful staff in yard. Negative: Process to get equipment (trailer in my case) took a long time considering all of the paperwork is done ahead of time online. I think it could be faster and smoother. Also, I would not buy additional stuff online. Twice now I bought something (hitch the first time, rope the last time), and it did not appear in the system. Each time I had to spend 5 minutes to figure out what I bought based on SKU number and cost. Next time I'll just buy what I need when I get to the place.

alex cTruck couldn't be found where they said it was going to be, gave me another truck and the windshield was leaking inside the van and splashed all over me and my stuff in the front seat (and my staff member in the passenger seat). The email/texts were never sent for the return process so I wasn't able to return the van after hours. When I tried to go via the app on my phone I kept getting an error code over and over again.

Karen CI rented a 5 x 8 cargo trailer which suited our purpose very well. It was unit AV1013B. However, there were clear signs of a lack of maintenance. The hitch tightening device was dry and rusty and in need of lubrication which I did myself when getting the unit home And the roll-up door also needed lubrication which I also did (and improved its performance). There were several broken down bearings hindering the doors passage along its track. The door does not run smoothly and evenly and will eventually fail if not repaired or maintained.

I went to have mobile pick up but couldn’t because the car was not available for online pick up. So I had to go to another place to pick up by a Uber . Call center sent me on 1115 Warden. All these things was not my fault. But because of u haul, I paid extra to Uber and lost lots of time. I want some of my money back.

The staff now claims that their standard rates for a day don’t apply because you have to stipulate how many hours you are renting the truck for and the standard rates for a day would now only apply to those stipulated hours. I was charged twice the amount. This is simple loot.

U-haul storage was not my first choice, but due to limited time to move-in and return the truck I opted for a more expensive, smaller unit, and without elevator access, instead of going to the competitor. If I had more time, I would have opted for another storage facility.

I don't understand how you can book online and have the store override the transaction. As I already booked a truck I was forced to take a smaller unit.

My boxes were damp and right from my first day there I had a terrible time trying to close the locker door (I also had two friends attempt to close it and both struggled as well). Additionally, every time I opened the door or shut it a bunch of sawdust (our what I believe to be sawdust would fall on me). The containers were not in good condition and I was not willing to risk having my stuff in there during the Winter months.

Get retrained so that the staff don't get the full brunt of the criticism and harassment because of your blindspots. I would never buy a franchise for that reason. David-Alan L | Overall ExperienceI was given an all-in price on the phone and I arrived with my own lock which was a high quality lock. When I came in to rent the van body, I was told I was required to purchase and use a Uhaul lock. That lock was junk and did not even secure through all three portions of the van body door fastener (but my own lock did). The staff were rude on several occasions. additionally, I was taken for the first time, on a golf cart, to see the unit, the driver smashed the roof of the cart on the opening garage door and debris flew at me. The ‘gold’ lock that goes on the left side of the unit is also a joke. One swing of a tack hammer would open it. Obviously this is just a means of pressuring people into paying more for 24 hour access in addition to forcing people to buy a crappy uhaul lock. The location is not secure and my unit leaked, damaging a $4000 mechanical massage chair. I have, over the years, rented many, many uhaul trucks, mostly for business purposes, but sometimes for personal use (as I did to fill up my vanbody storage rental). I did not rent from uhaul when I emptied it out. Because of your unfair, gauging policies, rude staff, inadequate facilities and the generally poor service (staff would not even provide me a paper receipt a email only) uhaul has lost my business permanently. Your service is terrible!
