The truck I rented had no gas in it. The low gas light was on and I literally glided into the gas station on fumes. The truck didn't run very well and it appeared to need a wheel alignment. I was told I would receive a small credit if I returned it with 1/4 tank of gas in it. I must of been a few dollars short when filling it up because it registered a hair below 1/4 tank when the representative looked at it. Surprise....she refused to give me the credit!! But it was okay renting out a truck with the low gas light on?!

The location is very convenient and the staff is helpful and friendly. The cargo van was ready when we got there. The main downside was that as we were driving out of town, a piece of the trim over one of the rear wheels came loose and was flappy around. Turns out that 2 screws holding it in place were missing, so we taped it with some duct tape so that it didn't rip all the way off. And, rather a safety issue----as the sun was getting lower and we were going to lower the sun visor on the driver's side, we found that it was missing! We made-do with a piece of cardboard and some duct tape. So, a bit more time spent at the location to make sure the equipment is in good shape would be good. Otherwise, satisfied with the service and the equipment.

The customer service at the Mayfield Rd. location was so kind and thorough. The folks who assisted us were so patient and empathetic, as we were dealing with a very hard week, and the process to pick up and drop off was seamless! The one note I'd have is that our rental smelled heavily of cigarette smoke.

I understand businesses are attempting to cut back on cost. Yet the country has came through a major catastrophic ordeal Covid. The Truck I requested was sprayed prior to me getting it will a pesticide. Pesticides linger and the odor is toxic. The strating wheel irritated my hand when touched. I immediately went back and spoke with the associate that assisted me. She told me to speak with her manager.The manager stated it was what they used to disinfect. There were mites on inside this truck. When sprayed it magnified the presence of it. The mats I rented were filled with debris. Seven were folded and left in the back of the truck. When I took it out to use all the debris went on my furniture. The fuel gage is non readable. As your refueling you will not be able to adjust the monies spent. The gauge does not appear at the time of refueling. No refund if you go over the amount placed at pickup. Check out the contract . Do not be afraid to get clarity. Have a great day!!!

Space is quite limited at this site. Had a difficult time getting a trailer out of its spot after hooking up to it. An agent had to move a truck out of the way for me. Might want to re-asses how vehicles are stored (on an angle vs. straight in to provide greater clearance).

Storage does not have an elevator and this proved very inconvenient! My back still hurts!

First the truck wouldn’t start and then after being given the same truck even though “it needs fixing” it wouldn’t park after we left.. so my grandfather had to drive 20 minutes there and 20 minutes back to switch trucks.. which paused the move by an hour. When I went to turn the truck in it was 7:15pm so I had to do it myself, which wasn’t a problem except I wouldn’t have had to do that if I wouldn’t have got put behind schedule by having to switch trucks. On top of that in addition to the 60 something dollars I already had paid I got charged another $34 when I got there because of whatever fees, even though I went under the mileage I predicted. On top of that it was mentioned that I should get a discount because of having to come back and get a whole Other truck.

Location and pick up/drop off easy. Friendly and helpful staff. It’s just the truck itself. We had difficulty accelerating and steering. Forced us to take the long route to avoid highways.

Put fuel trucks to be rented, I almost ran out of fuel. Trucks are not clean, crap all over the floor, dirty windows, just plain ole unsanitary conditions. Who ever is over the condition of the interior of the trucks is getting free money from uhaul. Stop using a blower to clean out the dust in the inside of the roll backs!!

Start cleaning your vans and trucks! The cargo van I rented had a gasoline spill on the cargo floor. The fumes were so strong it gave me a headache and infiltrated some of my things so I had to wash them to eliminate the smell.

I found the fuel to be a bit UNDER the 1/4 tank as marked, but the gentleman who checked me in answered my questions and when I left my bank card in the cab, I was notified immediately and it was waiting for me at the desk. Very honest and trustworthy staff at this location.

There was insufficient help, they rarely answer the phone and when the did, I was placed on hold and no one ever picked up. The truck was turned in but I have yet to receive a receipt. U-Haul is a large business, service should be consistent across all offices. Get it together!

The reason I said average because it was not communicated that our storage unit could only be accessed during office hours. We were given an access code and could not get to our unit after hours. It was very stressful and it costed us an additional day for movers. Other then that U-Haul experience was good.

Need a better entrance way for access. I went to unload my truck and could not get in, due to return 🚛 trucks after hours drop off, it will cost me another day so I can ann unload early and then do a 4th trip. Got to be a better way.

It was only luck that there were a few corporate guys there to help us. The "regular" staff just left during the day. The facility was over loaded with equipment and there was no room for trucks and equipment. We couldn't get into the storage we had reserved. There is no elevator for above and below storage access! What a joke! This place needs to be torn down and replaced. I will definitely NOT use uhaul storage again based on this experience. Josh did his best to help us, but as he said several times - "He doesn't work here".

Rental attempt at the facility was a nightmarish experience. Your computer system failed to work after repeated attempts and was a waste of time. Finally had to use cell phone to rent the unit. Facilty person was helpful, but could not overcome computer system probkem.

The store unit was not clean. It has a drainage system in the unit and made my unit have an odor, which affected my items in the unit. There was no light so I was working in the dark if I closed my unit for privacy. I asked for another unit the staff said there was no units available in my size. I would like a refund for the time I was in the unit.

I have many scars and battle wounds from the lights turning off while I was in the middle of storing my stuff the manager clean that she would get it fixed, never did. I had an original issue when I first got here when there was no staff there and they all bailed and didn’t tell any of the customers what they were doing and they just left and they were extremely rude and I told the manager about this and she calmedsomething of mine and it was nice for you to do that but you know they never fix the security issue with the lights the employees are still lazy do not care about them the customers and the last time my last day there I still had an issue where I was trying to check out of my storage unit and there were three employees sitting outside doing nothing and they were customer sitting inside weeding doing nothing but waiting for somebody that’s going to come that’s not going to come because they’re sitting outside talking to other employees I would never recommend this place I almost wanna never use Uhaul again it was the absolute worst place I could ever go everything I did but into that place had a fit through the size of a door otherwise it was a nightmare to try and get this other side door open and I just absolutely hate this place.

I hired a move help abd paid the crew (via Uhaul recommended site) to offload my stuff into the storage that I paid for (at Uhaul site). I was informed (by the move help) that Uhaul staff told him not to offload (unload) the Uhaul truck. The truck was just sitting at Uhaul yard. Uhaul keeps on charging me everyday for the truck I did not use even though it was returned (parked) at the Uhaul approved return location. Not only that, without communicating with me, Uhaul went ahead to close the storage I fully registered and paid for. I see this as a sabotage. I contacted Uhaul supervisor few times for help, she did not offer to help. All I was hearing from her was I cannot help. Even though this was a fully paid for service, I felt I got very poor value out of it. I felt helpless.

Add storage facility when you were in the dark damp and deep recesses of the building The light can go out and there are no motion detectors inside of the storage units inside of the hallways leading all the way back to the entrance, I tripped on my stuff in the pitch black and then try to tell one of the people that work there who stared at me through a glass window and laughed at me after that as I was trying to move my stuff a very rude employee want to head and locked a door as I was trying to go through it and walked away saying she had a closet as I said it would’ve been nice to know before hand and she just mumbled something I probably didn’t want to hear. This is Sari is extremely extremely extremely dirty with trash all over the place mattresses slices of cheese broken plastic and sand lake debris from the asphalt thats deteriorating.

They meant they rented me a unit and I had no access to get my furniture out on the first on the first day and no one could help me with that. And then when I went to go get my stuff even though I have paid the bill they added an additional lock and we're no assistance no I would never recommend this because most of the staff do not know how to handle customer service

I have to remove all my belongs from Uhaul and put them into another company’s storage because whomever took my reservations made my life difficult at this point by putting me into a too small of a storage space and all my belongings did not fit they claim they couldn’t find my reservation so I stood around while she searched had to call around to other Uhaul’s for storage no luck. Now Im being put into spot that’s very uncomfortable and very tiring because I have to leave work in time so I can get all my things out and into another storage company and you guys are still charging me for your truck rental because I have to have it an extra day to get my situation handled. Very disappointed

I was happy with my experience overall. I didn't care for the fact I had to be buzzed into my unit each time I came to storage. I could NEVER get a human on the phone to answer questions. The day I moved out, I was speaking to a lady about renting a Smaller unit. She fell asleep three times while I was standing in front of her. I asked her three different times I needed a SMALLER unit, she researched a LARGER unit. Complete waste of time. I would rent from Uhaul again in the future.

Workers was not clear on how to properly check into unit. Also, I feel as though they one of the workers at the location (nahrie or jahrie) did not take her job serious. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. I asked her to change my access code and she told me they couldn’t do it in store and that I had to call customer service but I told her customer service said that’s something that had to do in store. After I told her that she still insisted I call customer service and kept stating they can’t change it in store. I called customer service again and they told her the same thing. Then all of sudden she changed it in store when she seen I was actually on the phone with customer service. I was there for a extra hour for this inconvenience.

I was not knowledgable about the sizes of the unit so the unit I was assigned was to small. I shared what I had so the could recommend a size. I needed to exchange the unit which was on the second floor. I wasn't informed of the facility set prior to purchase or else I would have went else where. The larger unit was on the other side of the facility. We had unloaded the truck and turned it in and it was raining. I ended up having to pack y car with what I could and throw the rest away. The gentleman told me to close the door because it was closing time and we would not have any access. I said the young lady at the counter said I could. He went to verify and said you only can stay until 10p after which the alarm would sound and the police would arrive. I was frustrated and disappointed to say the least after driving 1025 miles to Cleveland. This was the location the Uhual company in Florida recommended. It should be said prior to purchase what the storage space set up is. Everyone is not familiar. I have never had to do this before. The rates at this location are almost double those in other areas. I was very upset and I am looking for other options to be out of ther before next month.

The facility did not have lighting in the units, and there was a whole in the wall. The facility appears to have rodents because there were mouse traps in the building.
