This is the Burlingame (near 28th st) wyoming, MI location that I am referring to because the Byron Center location that I requested did not have a truck for me. They notified me the day before, which I assume is normal, albeit slightly annoying. The first truck we received had a dead battery. My husband tried to jump it (after telling the guy) and finally the guy gave us the keys to a new truck. The second truck had stuff in the trailer part of it that my husband had to clean out. The second's truck battery was also on the fritz. Last year we had a terrible experience with Uhaul as well (they made us drive to locations that were hours away and kept changing things - which made for lost hours) and this year was similar. Last year they did give us some money off of the rental, so I appreciated that. Unfortunately, Uhaul does not seem to be run in an orderly, competent way. (Also, the bathroom was disgustingly dirty.)Heidi V.
The location was what I expected. The mobile check in and out was horrible. I was in the parking lot but it kept saying I wasn't. It made both processes take a very long time. I probably won't use it again.Lisette W.
Maybe answer the phone or listen when customers are telling you they are being overcharged because we paid $120 for what should of been a $70 rental. I can't get ahold of u haul customer service and I will not be using this company again. Such terrible customer service.Stephen P.

It would have been great to have the windshield cleaned. Other than that, everything was great. The gentleman that helped me was extremely helpful. I had a 15 ft. truck reserved but once I got there and saw the trucks I realized I only needed a 10 foot. He was able to change the reservation without much trouble.Laura K.

The shifting on the automatic truck needed some repair work. It was clean and did the job but you had to "fiddle" with the shifter to get it to go into gear at times. Otherwise, no issues and it won't stop us from using uhaul againWade K.

Listen I was charged for miles that I had to drive back to the facility for because the truck was not clean the guy cleaned it he was nice about it when I returned it I told them to take off 10 miles because the truck smell so bad I see why the windows was down and also we had to switch out my van reservation for the truck he put the wrong receipt in my paper it stated that the gas hand was on a half but it was on E so I had to put 20 in and they said they don't replace gas but I'm this case it should be cause I didn't make the mistake and they said the reason the truck smelled and was dirty was because it just came from the shop.I have pictures they didn't want to see that I will never give uhaul my business again and I was a returning customer this company was my go to and where people I send to this location but we will never come back sells will drop for this locationNishalashae G.
Number of returned trucks formed a line blocking the main entrance making it difficult to get the truck in the parking lot. Since the line was already full, it wasn't clear where to leave the truck. It was also poorly lit for a night time drop off. App process for return was nice and efficient.Jasonhamilton R.

Your agent here also confirmed that personal insurance typically covers UHaul rentals and that I could have called my agent on the spot. But it was Saturday morning when I picked up the truck, office is closed and I didn't have personal information in my phone. You should give your employee at this location a raise! Put more money in the pockets if your ground workers who are actually doing the work and serving customers like me, and a little less into bonuses for your upper management sitting in your offices and thinking of little ways to scam me out of $30!! I mean this! I am a CEO of my own global company that is working in over 30 countries and don't do this kind of thing. Thank you for considering both my request and recommendation.
