We were told he wouldn’t take the uhaul because we were suppose to return to Boulder. We called uhaul and they arranged so that we could drop off and was told it was good to go...went back in and still he wouldn’t accept the return. Three phone calls and lots of time later we finally were allowed to get our return in.

I've been a loyal customer this location for some years. On checking out a truck I found that their policies are changed resulting in me needing to leave the location go wake up a contact at 7 a.m. on a Saturday to service a secondary phone contact and then return to the store to begin my move. I went out of my way to book with this location as it was not available and Equipment search online and ended up calling the store directly. I was not informed of this policy on the phone yet when I arrived I was treated instantly like a criminal for not having an alternate contact readily available so early in the morning on weekend. The counter person was rude and condescending. This location is lost my business forever as well as the business of the alternate contact I had to wake and anyone that we ever run across who could possibly need any of your services. I'll be selecting a new company for all of my future moves

For the most part the customer service people were good and accommodating. Just would have liked a little more personal touch in updating me as to the time it would take to check in the truck. I was aware of the fact that the truck was being moved from the parking spot I placed it in, but then I was waiting in the office with no indication of what else was occurring. I eventually asked how things were going and if the truck checked out okay. Because I had sweep out the truck, folded the furniture pads, had the gas filled to the level we had agreed upon when I rented the truck and done everything else that I was aware of, so not sure why it took so log to verify the status and get back the mileage and gas level to the office. Small inconvenience, but a quick word like, 'It will just be a few more minutes" or something like that would have been good. Frankly I thought they had forgot about me. Then when I was handed the receipt, there was no discussion of anything. I had to look at the paper work to ensure I wasn't charged anything extra, which I wasn't, but at least I could have been told that everything checked out okay and there were no further changes.

The initial person was great, however the person we returned to was short and rude because it was closing time and he wanted to go home. No one mentioned cleaning the back afterwards and we were charged an extra fee (attitude at no extra cost).

Justin was very nice and super helpful when I called with questions prior to dropping off the U-Haul. When I arrived he was wonderful and quick with my return. Thank you so much

They opened an hour late which ruined our whole timeline for the day. We had moving help early and they had to leave, so we ended up taking longer since our help had to leave. We needed to start early so we had help and then U-Haul offered no discount or extra time or anything!

Have equipment ready at pick up time. Make sure when switching trucks because the first one wasn't ready to make sure other equipment is transferred to new truck. Also, make sure starting and ending mileage are correct. I was billed for 80+ miles when I only drove 45+ miles. Also, ask customer after drop off if s/he experienced any problems with the rented equipment.

Received a very rude voicemail from a Jessica regarding the timing of the drop off. Needs to work on her customer service skills and learn to be professional.

Have you noticed that corporate America doesn’t even try anymore? They used to bend over backwards to ensure that customers got the best possible service, selection, etc. Today, they treat us as if we’re a nuisance they have to put up with and don’t even defend their dirty tricks and flat-out lies. I could be discussing any corporate enterprise in the States today, but this review is all about U-Haul corporate and the terrible position they put their franchise owners in every single day. They make a reservation for a truck and call 15 minutes before I’m to pick it up telling me that corporate rented my truck to someone else. This was the manager of the lot, by the way, corporate couldn’t be bothered to call me – even though they’d already taken my credit card info. Long story short, corporate quotes a price on their site that’s completely bogus - $29 a day? Really? Then how come all you kept asking me was how many hours I’d use it, what time it would be back, and if I missed that time I’d be charged again? So, in short, corporate U-Haul is a total joke and not worth your time or stress. It would be just as cheap, and far less frustrating, to go with another company for your move. They’re everywhere today and much better than U-Haul from a service standpoint, so save yourself the trouble of dealing with U-Haul corporate and their “we could care less” approach to service. If you can go directly to a local U-Haul and deal with the actual people who put their names behind these franchises the you’re in business. Those owners care and go the extra mile for you – even removing bogus charges pushed by corporate. They’re the real losers here. They work hard and do their best and their corporate office does nothing but try to make them look bad. That’s U-Haul corporate for you – so bad that their own franchisees have to apologize for them. Run away from U-Haul corporate – run far, far away.

Only one woman working and a line of customers. She was doing a GREAT job! She is an asset to uHaul! Please get her some help! However, there were too many vehicles at the location. We almost got trapped due to another vehicle coming in behind us. The whole place needs a thorough cleaning and de-cluttering. We were charged a $1 "wrong destination" fee, even though we were returning it on time to the location on the paperwork. We just paid it because the poor woman was too swamped to research it. That should be fixed in your system.

The line at this location was long, especially on a Saturday morning one would think more than one person would be staffed to run the counter. On top of waiting half an hour, they didn't even have the van that I booked online so I had to upgrade and pay extra for the insurance. I was a bit surprised that I was charged anything additional, as it was the store's error for not having the van I already booked. The customer service rep was kind, and I could tell she was already frazzled from it being so busy in there. She definitely did her best, and my negative review in no way reflects on her.

The kid who hooked up the trailer for me couldn't get my UHaul installed lights to work. After trying a different set of extender cables, He told me I had brake lights and tail lights, but no flashers or blinkers. I was renting a small open trailer so my car blinkers we easily seen even with the trailer. He told me this was ok if I was not driving after dark. I found out the next day that I did not have tail lights or brake lights. I had my husband follow close behind me in another vehicle while I was pulling the trailer. This UHaul location had installed my hitch and lighting kit last summer and this is the first time I used it, only to find it doesn't work.

I reserved a 6'X12' trailer to haul my ATV at the 7th and York location. A day prior to picking up the trailer I was contacted and told the trailer wouldn't be at the 78th and York location and I would have to pick it up at the 80th and Federal location (bad location due to traffic). I picked the trailer up and brought it home. When I went to load my 5'5" atv into the trailer, I realized that the drop down gate was 4"8"!!! Needless to say I was very unhappy. I took the trailer all the way back to 80th and Federal (in commuter traffic) and they didn't have anything else for me. When I reserved the trailer the photo clearly showed that the drop down gate was the full width of the back of the trailer (6')! That's NOT what I got!! To add insult to injury, the store (#722085) still charged me $39.95! I will NOT use U-Haul again and demand a full refund of the $39.95. We won't even discuss 2.5 hours of my time and the gas to go back ad forth to 80th and Federal Blvd to get a trailer that wouldn't even work!
