I rented a truck and a tow haul for my Car, truck alignment was pulling to the right when I got on the highway.. buzzing sound in the cockpit when I turn the headlights on after dark.. Tow haul had a tire that was not aligned with the tire behind it causing it to sway back and forth on the highway.. I felt so nervous and unsafe with my family in the cab that I eventually pulled over and got a hotel for the night trying to make sure I did not hit anybody since it was harder to see anything back there at night time.. so I spent an extra 150 on a hotel when usually I drive the hole trip one way. I called U Haul the next day to ask for a partial compensation for the problems I was having they basically told me to kick rocks And to pull over and a uhaul technician would have to come out and resolve the problem, or actually told me to rent another hotel and they would meet me there. The manager at the location was extremely rude and basically just kept telling me that U Haul doesn’t reimburse until an inspection is made on the equipment and that is why they are not bankrupt like budget. Already uncomfortable, crammed into the cab with my family I did not want to pull over on the side of the road and wait to God knows how many hours for a technician. I then called the one 800 U Haul number instead where they opened a claim for me and assured me I would get a call back within 24 to 48 hours. 48 hours later I never received that call only for me to call U Haul back and wait on hold for an hour and 20 minutes for them to tell me that my case has been closed because it was notated that I denied roadside assistance. I did not deny roadside assistance I simply asked a manager if she expects me to pull over on the side of the highway to wait for the technician (traveling from fl to md) she replied with “I can do want to do”. I finally got in contact with the case manager that said she could not resolve the problem right then but she would look into it and call me back I am still waiting on that call. Not only that but I gave them the exact address I was going to and they had me dropping off the truck at one location and the tow trailer at a different location. This location was 25 mins away even though I noticed there was a u haul litteraly 2 min way from me on the next street over.I did not notice this until I looked at the paperwork trying to find the address because I was sure it had to be the uhaul store next door. I could not wait to return this nightmare of a rental. I called and asked them if they can rectify this which they said they did but when I pulled up to the facility the guy had no information that I even rented a tow trailer. Luckily I had all my receipts and paperwork and showed him. I pointed out the tire situation and he said “wow that’s definitely not supposed to be like” and that I should call U Haul and they will reimburse me for all the trouble I went through. Obviously not. I’ve rented plenty of moving trucks and have towed m

I understand that there are components happening beyond our view. With that said, check in was fine and that constant communication with the express check in was helpful. Check out was not understandable. All trucks are due at 4:30 and we live in South Florida, so it's going to rain at that time. We were backed up five deep for 40 minutes with no service and four employees waiting under cover, except for one in a truck folding blankets (so safety wasn't an excuse). Once it lightened up, an employee came to the truck, asked for the mileage and checked us out. He seemed to be the only one working on a Saturday at 4:30 checkout time. HE was wonderful, once he got to us after 40 minutes of no motion. One truck was even abandoned in the line. Improvement could be: utilize more employees to check out if it's that simple. Be prepared to work in the rain or provide a covered area to work, tent, truck port set up, etc.. Rainstorms are constant and expected. The site has been here for over a decade - not sure why that isn't figured out yet.The checkin person even mentioned they would be slammed at checkout that day - seemed to have the personnel, just not the drive to check out. Especially with trucks spilling out onto the road. We made it on time, hoping for the same courtesy. Thanks.

The truck was leaking so much water from the door while I was on the highway driving on the rain and water started pouring into my lap for about an hour straight. And the back of truck had roaches inside running around

This location was CRAZY busy. In the morning, there was one person and a line of about 12 people. I had selected online check in, but I still ended up having to talk to a person because no one put the key to my vehicle in the lockbox. Then, when I returned my vehicle, it was also busy; I had to wait about 20 minutes just to have someone review the vehicle and during my wait about 8 more vehicles showed up.
