Being able to pull through storage facility would easier for those that don't have backing up trailers. I have a class 1 kicense but the lot is challenging.

Disagree with being told the trailer had bald tires and if they blew and wrecked anything we had to pay for it , yet was knowingly given a trailer with bald tires and told buy insurance it's all good

Fermco was great. Uhaul website not so much. Booked and co firmed for 9 am pickup. Couple days later it reconfirmed for 930. Whatever. Pickup with no contact did not work. Kept saying to turn on location on my phone. It was on. Ended up going in to store to complete pickup. The entire point of the contact less is to save time. Ended up taking more time. So forget about using that " feature".

I drove to Vernon to pick up trailer on Nov. 11. Web site said they were open but they were not. My reservation was for 2:30 Nov. 11 but we could not pick up till Nov. 12 at 8:45 due to store closure. Not how I would have planned to spend the night! Online said there was a auto transport in Kamloops which I thought I had reserved online but when I went there on Nov. 11 (they were open) they informed me that it was not road worthy. Kamloops was very helpful in getting the Vernon reservation made. If I were doing this again I would go to a local uhaul location and have them check availability and make the reservation.
The truck should have been available at the north Vernon location we first booked. Somehow the booking did not get in to their system. Staff were friendly but we were told no trucks available other than 26 footers (we only needed a 15 foot truck and had a ferry booking). When we objected another location came forward with a truck. The agent at the second south Vernon location kindly added 20 km extra to make up for extra mileage needed and this is not reflected in the final bill. The windscreen was cracked at pick up. No straps blankets or any supplies offered at rental. No walk through at either end although plenty of unmasked staff on hand. No pointing out that truck had a leak in roof just asked for signature and told no other truck available. Online checkin email delivered after we had departed and it was not made clear that it needed to be verified before departure. On arrival in Victoria no where to park or pull up at Topaz drop off and lot completely disorganized although staff pleasant. Real disconnect between booking on line and what happens at location. Very disappointing compared to previous U Haul van rental service. I would not rent a truck from U Haul again.
