Having the equipment the customer reserves days in advance is a start. Reserved a 4x6 closed trailer but it was not available at the time I was told to pick it up by. This ruined my entire trip and I am out $300.

I placed a reservation to pick up a 20’ truck on Saturday may 5th. I got a confirmation email from U-Haul with an order number saying that my equipment would be ready to pick up at that time and location, however when I got there and tried to do the self serve process the date and time changed to Sunday may 6th at 9:45 am. I was never sent an email confirming with me that my time or date had changed. I called the customer service and was put on hold for 20 minutes until I connected with someone finally. Even though I connected with someone finally they did not help me much because I still was not able to get the truck that same day.

I am disappointed that there were not military discounts. I am also frustrated that your company wouldn’t offer any kind of hourly rates for an extension of an in town truck. Things happen and it was pay for a whole nother day or nothing. Also, the truck was filthy inside the cab, the wiper blades didn’t work and it was raining, which is why I needed the truck another day because we weren’t able to unload completely because of the rain, and then to top it off, the truck leaked and the rain water damaged some of my furniture. All the young man did was say “sorry for that” and “we will write that down and address it.”

The location and the people there were amazing. However ypur customer service and scheduling is horrible!!! Cancelling my order, not alerting me and saying someone spoke to me. Leaving me last minite scrabbling to find a truck to move the same day!!! Disappointed in uhaul and will probably never use you again!!!

I rented a truck on Saturday for 12hrs!!!!! But was charged for two days . I returned the truck early made sure the tank was full I did everything by the book. I check my bank account Sunday they deducted 30$ I called customer service they said I was charged for two days when I have all the paperwork stating I only rented it for 12hrs ... then on Monday 3/19 I was charged ANOTHER 58$!!!!!!! Now the total is 88$ someone is playing games at this location. the rep said I would receive a call in two business days and today is Wednesday and nothing. So I’m calling customer service AGAIN

Appt scheduled to pick up trailer at 4 PM. Arrive at 4:45 and trailer was not on lot north there any other trailers. Worker made a call to someone and I was told the trailer would arrive within 15 minutes. The trailer did arrive within 20 minutes, and then we had to wait additional time for them to check out and release the trailer. No apologies were made, and the worker told me he did not have time to clean the trailer out which is comprised of sweeping the trailer. I was under a very strict deadline and took the trailer home to find a floor was black with health and I had to clean it before I could place anything on it. Other than that, it was a typical U-Haul experience. My husband and I have used U-Haul numerous times as we move around the country for his job. This was by far the least professional.

I have been a repeat customer with Uhaul for about 15 years. Over the last 15 years I have come to learn the basic procedures that most employees at Uhaul follow. On Monday February 19, 2018 a red flag went up for me as I was registering for the truck rental. All seemed standard with providing my drivers license, credit card and excepting the insurance option. Often the employee will go out with me as a customer to inspect the truck or suggest that I inspect the truck to confirm that there is no damage that had not been noted from previous rentals. The step was not done. I mentioned this to the employee helping me, who identified herself as the manager [Lyda Alvarez] at 2701 N Wilson Way, Stockton, CA 95205, and she informed me that since I agreed to the insurance option this step was not necessary. I didn’t question it as I understand procedures can change, however once I was in the truck I noticed things I would consider, not up to basic Uhaul standards. 1. The seat belt appeared to work, however the housing was damaged making it difficult to secure the seatbelt. 2. The Oil Light was on, and I had to bring this to the attention on the manager [Lyda Alverez]. 3. The bed of the truck, I discovered when I arrived at my destination, was dirty due to a previous customer appearing to have used the truck to haul garden debris, with leaves and dirt still in the back of the truck I had rented. I would have returned it however I was under a time restraint. 4. With a 27ft dirty truck loaded with white furniture I began to drive the truck from Stockton to Lodi, which I made clear to the manager where I was going and how many miles I would drive, as neared my destination the truck began to stall out on me. I was able to restart it and proceed to my destination. The gas gage indicated that the truck still had a substantial amount of gas. After unloading the truck, I proceeded to drive the truck from Lodi back to Stockton and the truck stopped on me about 5 to 6 times in the middle of dark roads. I called the Uhaul road service [the text message on my cell phone has a time stamp of 12:37A.M. for a Uhaul GPS Locator] and explained the situation. I was able to start the truck at about 1 A.M. and drive it to the 7701 Tam O'Shanter Dr, Stockton, CA 95210 location, where I left it overnight. The next morning, I returned to the location where I rented the truck, 2701 N Wilson Way, Stockton, CA 95205 and the Manager rented me a [comp] smaller truck to use to transfer a few items that I had remaining in the back of the first truck. Upon returning to the 7701 Tam O'Shanter Dr, Stockton, CA 95210, which has a mechanics shop. One of the shop mechanics [Greg Frazier] informed me that the truck had a defective fuel sending unit and that the truck was out of gas when it was rented to me, ever though it still was showing that there was gas in the truck.
