Auto transport left wheel strap must have been cut short by a previous customer. Staff should’ve inspected the trailer properly before giving it to me. Called location once I realized When I was over 2 hours away picking up the vehicle and they said they couldn’t help me Have Uhaul roadside come change the strap or get another auto transport That was in safe working order. I was instructed by the associate to hook up my vehicle in a very unsafe manner with only one tire strapped down.the Safety chains were missing rubber safety grommets. Not professional at all that I was instructed to do this and the safety risk and liability god forbid had something went wrong would have been on my head. Associate named James stated That I would not be paying for this at the very least but I look today and see that my card was charged after I dropped it off. Very unprofessional of the staff They did not handle this correctly at all.Had a problem once before with a different Uhaul location With straps being cut and at least they managed to get me another trailer out where I was picking up a vehicle and reimbursed me fully and paid my travel costs for driving to get another auto transport that had functioning safety equipment. Horrible experience this time and I use Uhaul pretty frequently guess they will lose a customer over wanting to charge 75 dollars when i was told by the associate James that I would not be paying for this. 0/10 horrible customer service would not recommend.

I booked on the uhaul site for a certain location. On that day of the move, it was not at the location. The owner tells me that if I put a location in and they don’t have a truck or trailer that the site bumps you to the next location. So thank God, the next location was 1 mile away! 3:00pm Then I speak to a uhaul employee and everything I put in as a reservation was all wrong so she had to cancel the reservation and add me as a walk in. Which sucked up 35 more minutes of my all ready pressed time. She charges me for 1 week rental of a trailer. I put in 1 day. So that gets taken care of. Then she tells me that if I return it after 7 that I could leave it at the location but can’t forget to do the return on the website. Great! I finish my staging within 3-4 hrs. My husband returns the trailer as I stage a home. The same employee tells him that they have been waiting for him since 4 on to return the trailer. He states to them that we just picked it up about 2 hrs ago. She states to him that it was only rented for 2-3 hrs. And that other people where waiting for it. WHAT?!?!?! I rented it for THE DAY. Not wanted to deal with all of this confusion, the entire day was charged on my card anyway so I tell my husband to just walk away. It just wasn’t worth my aggravation at all. I am a stager and would like to continue using your company, but it seems there is always an issue at my expense.

I rented a 6 x 12 cargo trailer to move an ATV, unfortunately these particular trailer could not be rented one way and I was required to return it back to the rental location, that’s my first gripe! The trailer was advertised as being 6 x 12 with a rear loading ramp, this information is actually false, the rear ramp is actually 4 feet wide with 1 foot solid pillars on each side of the ramp, I was unable to fit what I needed to move requiring me to rent another trailer from a local repair shop, not a u haul or rental business, I pulled the trailer I rented from Staten Island NY to Beach Lake PA to pick up what I purchased and found the rear opening not 6 feet as advertised! I would like a refund since I didn’t use the trailer for what it was intended and I incurred additional expense to rent another trailer and fuel and tolls to return the other trailer! You should update your website and state the rear opening is only 4 feet wide so other people don’t have to experience the same issue I had to deal with! The folks at the rental location were great but they stated they could not issue a refund!

The guy that rented the uhaul to me he wasn't in the store when I first arrived and also when other customers arrived also like 8 ppl so when he came he did take care of all us in a decent time frame like we didn't wait long but also when I returned the uhaul I was greeted by two men who were very respectful and helped me understand exactly what I am being charged for my rental thanks slot !

Do not double the rental bill. Lying as to the return date is fraudulent and an unfair business practice. I returned the trailer, on time, for 2 days usage. Was told all was fine and would receive an email. Instead I got a barrage of calls telling me I didn't return the trailer. Then I got an invoice for 4 days usage.

Broken “D” ring ( tie down point was broken & wood bar ( tie down point ) Was broken . When I asked if they could move the d ring to another spot they said they would have to send the trailer out for repair . This was not acceptable because u- haul had already caused a 5 hour delay in me picking up the trailer . And then sent me to a location 10 miles out of the way and I had to return it sooner then I wanted

I always rent from here because of the availability of trucks, but what I do not appreciate is being billed for things when like gas, extra days, etc., when clearly that is not the case, close attention should be had when returns are processed, I was billed for extra gas, but refunded after calling them, the second time I was billed an extra day, but will be refunded per customer service. More seasoned employees should be at the desk to ensure all is correct with a contract before being rented. Lastly, when I was talking to the young lady at the store, she sent me to customer service without telling that she was doing so. That was unacceptable not knowing and then when the rep came on the phone the whole scenario had to be explained again. Unacceptable. Even though I was taken care of.

Every time I am at a Uhaul location, it doesn't matter where it is or what I am there for, there is always an impossibly long wait. I rented this equipment online and paid online, and had my receipt with me when I went in- primarily because I knew there would be some kind of hassle. There were 2 people working, I didn't owe any money, I was the only person in line and it still took over a half hour. For 12 reusable boxes and a furniture dolly. That is outrageous.

The staff were wonderful. My only concern is that UHaul does not provide its employees with adequate computers and scanners, so that the employee checking me in had to use his personal cell phone to scan my drivers licenses. In this day and age people should NOT be asked to allow someone else to record on their personal phone that persons drivers license information - which includes fdrivers license number, address and date of birth. I am shocked that UHaul forces its employees to engage in this practice by failing to provide them with adequate, properly functioning equipment - and forces customers to compromise the security of their personal information.
