On my vehicle the headlight was out and I didn't notice it until I was already on my way. When I drove off the lot the back of the truck was open I didn't realize it would be open. It terrified me when I drove down the road. A little bit of conversation and customer service would have really helped. They didn't have the auto transport available so I had to drive 25 miles north to get the auto transport. The place I went to didn't even seem to be a U-Haul it was some other business. I have never driven an auto transport but behind a truck before. I am pretty sure that most of your customers are like me in that sense. All they did was hook it up and drive the vehicle up front and give me the keys they didn't give me any advice or help me in anyway navigate driving that extra equipment by my truck. Consequently before I even left the lot I hit another vehicle with the trailer. Someone had to get the U-Haul truck and drive it to the front of the tight parking lot for me so that I could leave. After they drove the truck to the front of the parking lot they showed me the bottom mirrors and how to look in the mirror so I could see where the tires were for the auto transport. That made it so much easier for me to make the rest of my trip completely safe and easy. I feel like taking that 2 minutes to help me understand the vehicle that they gave me could have saved someone a lot of time and money repairing their car it would have saved me some stress and it would have saved your company money because I paid for the insurance and that accident was covered by you.

Uhaul unkindly moved me out to this location from my requested location claiming this was the closest to Albany I could rent a 10 ft truck. That said, going in slightly grumpy, these employees were super friendly and helpful. Well organized and truck was clean and ready to go



Have your customer service understand what they are giving the customers for automobiles. Specifically, I stated I needed a 4x4 pickup and she said U-Haul has them. Then, the day I pick up its not a 4x4. Then, I'm running around all day. Then the center still charges my credit card almost $40.00. for Nothing I wanted

staff was friendly and helpful. However they did not have the keys to some trucks, so they did not have the needed, reserved, trucks available for all customers that morning- that was a problem. Seems like it would be smart to have extra keys on hand?!

First off I was supposed to get a pickup truck and was given a van. Then when I brought it back it had barely any dirt in the back and I was threatened with an upcharge. I returned home and swept the back of the van out once more before handing it in. When I told the worker the reason I wanted a truck was so that I could easily pressure wash the truck when done. I was told at this point by the worker I could just power wash the back of the van like a truck to get the dirt out. This was just nuts. No way should someone use a washer inside one of those vans, it'd be an electrical nightmare. This entire experience was awful.

Reserved a 26ft truck near my house was told 2 days later it was not there and had to go 15 miles out of my way(each way) to get and return.the truck. I estimated 25 total miles and ended up with near 50. Although I can charred only .79c per mile. I ended up paying double the amount for the truck. Not at all pleased with this.

This review format is limited to the pick up and drop off locations. Both were fine. The uhaul reservation system was unacceptable. I reserved a 20' truck online from a specific location only to be told that I would have to drive an extra hour to get that truck or downsize to a 15'. Consider setting expectations that you can achieve.

Equipment that was reserved (dolly, furniture dolly) wasn't in the truck so went over to pick up and there seemed to be confusion about whether or not it was reserved even though it was talked about when picking up the truck. But all worked out.

The gentleman working was very helpful, but the location was poorly staffed. We arrived half an hour early for our 9am rental, and by the time we left, it was almost 9:30am. I felt badly for the worker because he was the only one there and when we left the line was to The door. Better staffing coverage is definitely needed especially for peak times.

It was impossible to get someone on the phone. I was also not told about the gas charges when I picked up the uhaul. I understand paying for the gas, but it wasn't clear how much per gallon they'd charge and the $30 fee on top of it. They need to spend less time on their phones and more time with customers.

same deal here i got only so many miles to get to the place i pick to drop it off but they wouldn't take it sent us to another place where we didn't know where it was and it burned up more gas then we would have if i wasn't forced to do the extra miles trying to put us over on the miles and used up extra gas just a little tiny bit under the quart tank the worker checking us in understood what happen and did us justice it was a great to deal with because of him would rent again

I rented a trailer. It was clean and in excellent shape. Mgr was there and handled pickup excellent. No problems until drop-off. At drop-off I spoke to 3 people all of which refused to give me written receipt of drop-off. All insisted they would send me confirmation email of drop-off. 1 hr later - no confirmation, I called and was told trailer was shown out on rental. 2 hr later - no confirmation, I called and was told trailer was shown out on rental. 3 hr later - no confirmation, I called and was told trailer was shown out on rental. 4 hr later - no confirmation, I called and was told trailer was shown out on rental. At this point I talked to the Mgr who put in the trailer as returned and sent me a confirmation. Time on the confirmation was at last call, not actual return time. I returned the trailer early. What if my 24 hour rental time was exceeded during the 4 hours it took Uhaul to input my trailer return. You made me sign paperwork to originally take trailer. I think it would be good business practice for UHaul to give written return receipts at time of dropoff. Promising to send confirmation email and telling customer to leave is unacceptable! Especially when the confirmation is not sent. I get written receipts at all rental car companies all over the world. Why can't UHaul provide written receipts at dropoff?
