The moving truck we received was basically a death trap on wheels. You had to pump the breaks, in order to stop, because if you just pushed the breaks down, you wouldn't stop. The gas fumes coming from the vehicle, while driving, was horrible. Rolled the windows down, because having them closed was horrible, but having them open was just as bad, and my dad (Roosevelt) ended up with a horrible headache from having to smell them while driving. We then called the location, once we got to the drop off place, and asked if we could drop the vehicle off at a different location because we didn't feel safe driving it (now when we were picking it up, we asked if we could drop it off at a different location or would they charge and the manager said they would) and the manager told us that we would have to call roadside assistance and see what they told us because he couldn't answer that. We decided we didn't want to take a chance of them saying they couldn't or wouldn't help, so we took our time driving the vehicle back. On top of that, when we got the vehicle, we were told we would pay for it now, and then once we brought it back, if we went over on anything, we would only pay the difference. Well, when we went to drop it off the guy was trying to charge us another amount. We explained that thats not what we were told and that we had already paid a certain amount. The rep already came off with an attitude when we were dropping the truck off but his attitude got worse. The rep started telling us that it wasn't paid, it was just hold. We then showed the rep that it took the money out of our account and that we didn't have money for them to place almost a 300 hold on our account and that we weren't going to allow that since thats not what we were told. The rep really started to become more rude sighing, walking into the business, going to the computer and started typing stuff. He then printed off a receipt and started explain to us the contract and how we hadn't paid it, etc. We explained, and showed him again, how we did pay it and it showed in our account in which he started to get smart with us. Then as I was sitting there another charge from uhaul came into my account and I stated you just charged me another 15 and he got smart and said yall said you were only going to pay the difference, so thats what you paid, and I kept trying to explain to yall thats what you were paying. So we got upset and rude back and asked for our receipts to show all of this and made sure it was paid in full and done. As we were leaving the rep got smart again telling us if we didn't like it we can go to the manager. So we all walk outside and at this time we are extremely upset and tell him to tell us where the manager is. We go to the manager and start explaining the situation and all the manager does it say well he's having a bad day but the bill been taken care of. To me, that was very rude and basically your way of saying it was ok to be extremely rude with us and talk to us any kind of way because he had a bad day. Overall the experience was HORRIBLE!! The truck was HORRIBLE and the customer service was EVEN WORSE! Think we will start looking for other places to get trucks from for our future moves. I wish it would have been different because we have used Uhaul for years and been very satisfied.
My reservation was for 9am 18nov20, I arrived early and the rep processed me and had me checked out by 845, printed a receipt, sent me an inspection report that didnt load, cargo trailer smelled like an engine had been stored in it for a long time, did not brief me that since he processed me earlier that i would have to bring it back earlier. Cargo trailer gave me problems with the right turn signal, would fail every 3-5 miles, I was on the way to drop off at 9am 19nov20 but had to pull over constantly to fix wiring harness, it caused me to show up 22 minutes late. Upon arrival he said i was good and that i would be emailed a receipt, he failed to advise about the lateness issue and failed to advise me of the secondary day charge. I called once i identified the double charge and asked to speak to a supervisor he stated that the supervisor wouldn't be available til tomorrow and i can talk to him then, I responded that I would be talking to someone today and he said then call 1800gouhaul so I hung up. I called 1800gouhaul and spoke with dawn, Dawn professionally stepped in corrected the issue and administered the refund for the second day. Because of Dawn and her utmost customer service I will use your services again, more than likely never that certain facility. SSG Urbina US ARMY
All employees I came in contact with, over the course of 4 or 5 days, were exceptionally courteous and helpful. My needs changed from time to time, and they all accommodated me with great customer service!

Very slow check out over a hr just to rent a trailer
Disappointed that I could not return my equipment after hours. I had a 24 Hr rental, rented the equipment at 6:45 on Saturday, and was ready to turn in the equipment by 5:15 on Sunday (I tried for 5:00 pm). The office closed at 5:00pm. I was told there was no after hour drop off due to concerns coming up with the election and vandalism in the area. Why advertise after hour drop off (during phone reservation), if l'm told at the pick-up location the service is not available? I called 1-800-GO-U-HAUL to verify the reason, but they had no notes in the system in reference to the drop off location. I had to pay an extra $29.95 + $8.00 safe tow fee just to let the equipment sit in front of my house overnight. The bad thing is, I've used the after hour drop-off/return at this location in the past ...
Courteous, friendly, helpful, and professional personnel. Store location is easy to assess from the freeway and close to a military installation. The equipment was clean and easy to use. Most important, the staff members wore masks and kept a social distance from me and other customers. Outstanding! Thank you.

Awesome crew, friendly, and fast.
I like to drive with the radio playing. The U-Haul I rented did not have radio usage. Besides, I sustained a chip mark/crack on the left lower side of the front windshield. Otherwise, I liked the Chevrolet Silverado pickup ride immensely--ergo, I would recommend the U-Haul rental vehicles in this respect. Good customer service
tail light was out on a 6x12 trailer. Representative was brand new and left unattended. Spoke with Field Relief Manager the next day who refunded some of my money for the aggravation and time I spent finding and replacing the part myself. There were no parts at either this location or the location at 410 and Bandera to replace this burned out light. Cost me money and time driving from part store to part store to find the light myself
I was rushed into my reservation. The previous renter's final odometer reading was not updated. When my reservation was done, I was charged for 71 miles after only traveling 25 miles or less.
