Uhaul on Santa Rosa Ave. In Santa Rosa CA is awful. Overbooked and did not have my reserved trailer! Was less than helpful in finding a way to help me. The clerk Julie was obnoxious and thought she was funny. I will NEVER rent from Uhaul again! Your customer service is a joke!

The U-haul on-line booking system over booked the truck I reserved but the service reps at this location provided a different option that worked out even better. That's good people overcoming process/system flaws.

If you had pedicures and massages while waiting tor equipment and paperwork that would be cool BUT For me, it doesnt get any better renting these trucks than at the rental place. The staff makes the place. Its the most relaxed hasslefree rapid pick up..drop off ever. If everything went this flawlessly in daily life, Id have about 12 weeks a year leftover where I wasnt standing in line or disputing hidden or erroneous charges. I try to tell people about the rental place but they all already know.

I was overcharged a lot of money for unknown reason. I chose $14 insurance but was charged $28. I also was charged double for the truck rental fee. I returned the truck less than 1 h late only because the check-engine light was on due to unknown reason, and your customer service asked me to stay where I was. I returned the truck 10 pm instead of 9 pm. So what? Nobody would rent a truck at 9 pm. It was just a ridiculously horrible experience.

LOVE big guy at the counter - solid. had his stuff together, dealt with every customer smoothly, efficiently (except the long wait just to give 'ok' slip to him rather than in back - but i understand). Really - this uhaul center was the best run i've been to (and i've been to a lot) -

I had reserve a uhaul box trailer in a month in advance and the day I'm picking it up they call within a half hour before closing time they say they don't have my rental . I scrambled to get to another uhaul location to rent one and they don't have the the size I want but I had to take it because I was moving out of state the next day which was Sunday . Nothing but a hassle after reserving a month in advance , poor customer service. Uhaul should return my money !!

Staff and crew here were very helpful. Even Forrest was trying to help with a faulty trailer hitch install from the San Rafael store. I had to travel from San Rafael to the Rohnert Park location after I was denied a rental from Drew Bates GM of San Rafael because I didn't want to give a second phone number. Found out that this is not a requirement but a request. Drew Bates flipped me off and told me he would not rent to me if I didn't give him a second phone number. He said I could give him a friends or a family members phone number. This is absolutely obsurd because when you book online it never once asks you for a second phone number and asking for a friends or family members number...I'd never give out someone else's number. Dew Bate's customer service or lack there of is very appearant. His demanding a second phone number and then refusing service, flipping me off and degrading my characture was simply uncalled for. I spoke with Amber in scheduling and she confirmed that the second phone number is not mandatory and is voluntary. Drew Bates should be written up or for his behavior

Nothing with rental place. But the customer service rep on uhaul number are very rude and not willing to help. I needed to keep truck an extra day and they had someone else scheduled 2 hours after I drop off. They said let me contact them and get back to you. No one ever contacted me back. Finally at 8pm we decided to hurry up and unload. Would have been nice to have a return call sober didn't have to rush to unload

Last time I used this rental place to rent a uhaul, this non uhaul company charged me for miles I didn't drive. They gave me truck that said it had a full tank, but after driving for two minutes the tank level dropped to about half empty which made no sense because I had only driven it like 100 feet. This rental place did not want to take responsibility for this and I ended up paying more than I should have because of this. Almost the same thing happened today. Rented a uhaul to move my stuff about 1.5 miles. They tried to charge me for Using up a 1/6th of the tank even though I drove a total of 3 miles. When I was givin the receipt, I marched right back in and demanded that I not be charged for the extra gas. How can you screw over a customer like that. I probably will only rent from official uhaul places and never from this place again. When they "make the same mistake twice" you realize that it's not a mistake but that their just trying to make more money and screw the customer over.

overall the whole rental experience was excellent, the 10 foot truck was perfect for the move. the only negative my daughter and I noted was the cab of the truck smelled of cigarette smoke. otherwise the whole moving experience was excellent
