Not so much a suggestion to improve...just a philosophy :-) I chose to support a local/neighbourhood company/agency though they did not have the exact size van I was looking for - only required a 10' but rented a 15' at an additional $10 cost. I know it is only a small and fledgling operation...hopefully they can grow into a 'full service' facility. SUPPORT LOCAL!!!

I booked and reserved in Spaniards Bay NL and they were closed without notice so I had to go more than 2 hour extra drive round trip to get to this location to pick up a trailer.

I used this locations to save on kilometers. the person I spoke to on the phone was knowledgeable and friendly. however, there person who was there from pick up was a different experience. When I entered the room he was cleaning the bathroom. I spoke to him and he contuined to clean vs helping me. then when he finally came to the counter. he started to serve me and then stopped to boil a kettle - he said it was for another persons rental that had a frozen lock however there was no one else in the store or on the lot. It took him a long time to process my booking and he didn't seem to pay attention to what he was asking me as he asked me the same things multiple times.

The gentleman who hooked up the trailer did everything and tightened the the trailer on my hitch. 3 miles down the road, the trailer came off the hitch. When I called, the person at the front counter conveyed no apology or regret. I was very upset and frustrated. Luckily trailer didn't smash the back of my truck. Very disappointed and worried for others who rent a trailer at this location.

I cannot blame the situation on the pick up location. There was no one working at the time that could deal with issues regarding the truck and trailer I picked up which did not have the lights working on the trailer. Had to go to another uhaul to get that fixed. Which broke again the next day and had to fix it myself.

When I went to pick up the truck, I had to shovel it out myself. Granted, the young man in the office did at least try to scrape the windshield for me (but I had to finish the job). The next morning, I discovered that the loading door was frozen. I know that we had a hard week weather-wise, but they did have 48 hours notice that I was coming for the truck. I brought the vehicle back to the Kenmount Rd. office, and they took care of the door problem. I have rented a U-Haul truck on three different occasions before, and there was never a problem.

Have truck ready for the road. Door was frozen shut and substitute truck needing sweeping out. The clerk was wonderful though.

I was told their was 1 eight fuel in the truck and it was empty. I had to pay for extra fuel . I traveled 46 miles and put 80.00 for fuel and only received 21.76 back . Too expensive !
