The scheduled drop off location quit their affiliation with UHaul in the month between my reservation and my rental period. As a result, UHaul Failed to support the update to the alternative drop off location. I had to do all of the work to find a drop off location and UHaul didn’t help nor compensate me for the additional mileage or fuel (at $7/gal diesel) to accommodate UHaul. The drop off location had no idea I was coming to drop off and was accommodating despite UHaul failing to support me as a customer In short, UHaul is a terrible business that exploits its pickup/drop off affiliates and exploits it’s customers. UHaulwill soon be bankrupt due to its failed and ineffective business practices.

Connie CThe truck had a dirty windshield, marking the beginning of the worst rental experience I have encountered. I reserved a 26-foot truck online approximately 10 days in advance for 2:30 PM on July 31, 2026, in Energy, Illinois, at Ace Hardware. While the staff at Ace Hardware were excellent, the reserved truck was not available upon arrival. After two hours of attempting to resolve the issue, U-Haul reassigned my reservation to a location an hour away in Paducah, Kentucky. The mileage provided was insufficient for the additional distance, resulting in extra charges. The situation was problematic from the outset. I made the reservation well in advance due to a tight schedule, and based on this experience, I would not recommend this company for time-sensitive needs. Overall, I am highly dissatisfied, as the rental timelines allow no margin for error.
Steven LIf someone orders a dolly and furniture pads it because they need them. Please have them or have somebody available in your office to get them.
