I have moved many times in my adulthood. This is the first time I have experienced this level of disorganization and unprofessionalism. I rented a truck on Friday 6/1/18 for a one-way trip less than 20 miles away. The truck was due back on 6/2/18 by 01:00 P.M. I called the store I was to return the truck to and informed them that I would be running late. The young lady that answered the phone was very unprofessional and just said “ok”... she didn’t even ask me my name! I asked her if she needed my information, she said no. Fast forward to later in that day when I called back to inform the place that I was scheduled to drop the truck off at, that I would be dropping off the truck at the location I picked it up because plans had changed (I couldn’t drive the truck and my car at the same time- I was lacking a driver for my car which was closer to where I originally picked up the truck). I dropped off the truck MYSELF on 6/2/18... gas was returned to where it should have been. The truck had been swept and the furniture pads and dolly was neatly placed back in the back of the truck. I rolled up all windows and locked all doors. I parked in front of two $19.99 moving vans to the left of the gate. I got out of the truck placed the key to the truck inside the drop box and walked to my old apartment around the corner where my car was parked. I get a voicemail over ONE WEEK LATER on 6/13/18 from someone from UHAUL threatening to send the police to my door because allegedly I had “not returned the truck”. I was furious! How dare anyone call me and leave a message like that! Especially when I had done what I was supposed to do! I returned that truck and I have pictures to prove it! The general manager called and left me a voicemail as well and I called her back. It took over 20 + minutes for me to state my case as if I was a criminal. I insisted on the GM looking through video footage to validate my claim. Back and fourth, back and fourth- FINALLY! The GM found the footage and saw that I had returned the truck ONE WEEK PRIOR EXACTLY AS I SAID I DID! The GM was at first accusatory (at least that’s how it felt on the receiving end). Then she became apologetic, sympathetic and disappointed in her staff. In her own words “someone is not going to be happy after I speak to them today”. I spoke to the GM two or three times that day and she told me that she would not charge me for the truck rental because of everything I had been through and that she’d be processing the refund that day. Here we are a week later from when I spoke to F. Stil****, still no refund. I waited patiently for one week to allow ample time for the refund to go through. After waiting patiently and no refund, I called today to follow up. I sat on the phone for nearly an hour today being transferred from one person to the next. At this point I’m extremely annoyed! As nice as the GM was on the phone, again, I am inconvenienced due to lack of follow up / disorganization- GM response “your refund w

Call center needs to provide better information on where to drop off vehicles. I had to go to two other locations before this one would take my vehicle. which in turn cost me another 56 dollars because I now had the vehicle for a third extra day. I found this ridiculous that I had to pay this extra money because uhaul directed me to locations to could not take a 26 foot vehicle.

U-Haul charged me for extra miles used, even though the reason I went over 91 miles was because my pick-up location was moved from Baltimore to Odenton, so I had to drive back into Baltimore before I could move. If you change someone's pickup location like that, you should give them extra miles.

The truck I was using scared the heck out of me. The steering wheel had so much play and the vehicle seemed to need an alignment, it was weaving on the road and I constantly had to overcorrect to keep it somewhat straight. That said, the people working the desk were very nice and friendly, and they worked quickly. It’s a great location I’ve used before, I just wouldn’t want that particular truck again.

Local staff was great. Booking was a mess, had originally reserved a 26' truck for 830 AM from a different location. Was called the day before and told that it wouldn't be available until 3PM. Nowhere near enough time to notify and arrange for my help to adjust their schedule. Had to call back and was found a 20' truck at this location. Ended up having to make 2 trips which cost me a good bit more than what I was planning on doing.

My original reservation for a cargo van was made on May 11, via phone for the Laurel location, 10150 Washington BLVD N, Laurel MD 20723 for Jun 2, 2018. However, when I arrived and after waiting 45 minutes plus to be served, I was told they did not have a cargo van. The clerk phoned someone to find out why a reservation was made for a cargo van for that location but one was not available? No real answer to this. He made another reservation at the Odenton location for a cargo van. So I have t leave that location and go to another location. I lost approximately 2 hours which made me late for my event. As guest were arriving, I was still setting up.

This location was very under staffed. The only employee their was doing it all. The line was long and other customers were agitated but he was very profession and had a smile on his face the whole time. He was such an asset to your company.

The service was not good. I was forced to put 0.89/cents of fuel in the vehicle, which actually filled the tank, because the agent argued with me that it was not near full. I ultimately returned the vehicle with more fuel that what I had in it when I picked it up.

I used the mobile app to drop off my rented U-Haul - but the key drop-off was not marked or apparent. At 9pm in the pouring rain, I tried in vain to get the call-in helpdesk to answer me pleas (they did not). Eventually (after 20 more minutes in the rain) a livechat respondent on the website (opened in the browser on my phone responded to my slitting of messages with a robotic "How can I assist you?" This was obviously a robot that could not read my previous messages in the chat. So I eventually found a way to stick they keys in the lockbox by the gate. This morning I got a call from U-Haul asking where the keys were. So needless to say - not the greatest experience. I was at a U-Haul a few days ago - and while there were hiccups, there was nothing this egregious.
