I want to commend the staff for their honesty. I rented a truck on September 14. The passenger side mirror came unglued while I was driving, fell off and broke. I had not taken the insurance package. When I returned the truck and explained what happened, the representative checked with a supervisor who confirmed the number for the truck I rented, and then told the representative that a mechanic had recently installed the mirror with tape only, not with a bracket. I was not charged anything additional. That encounter impressed me and I will recommend this U-Haul location for its service.

Your trucks, I would assume, are for inexperienced truck drivers. Mirrors are important to be functioning properly, and the right side view mirror was not functioning properly. It drooped.

People at this location was excellent. Accommodating and kind. We need to pick up the truck at the closest location possible so that's what we tell our friends. Canyon Country location(Santa Clarita) failed to do so and we had to drive an hour fighting the morning traffic for the pick up. It's a waste of time for the busy moving schedule. They had a week to arrange this, and no apology or compensation from Canyon Country.

My comment is not only for location but for UHaul it self, I have reservation to Glendale but last minute, I just access the web, I was informed that the pickup was from North Hollywood. According to customer support somebody from UHaul called me. I did not received any calls from UHaul. This is unorganized UHaul and and been shouldered additional miles from me to pickup the truck. Since you are the only company available for moving, I hope there is another one competition so that moving company will improve and not just relying on you guys.

I schedule a pick up at 11:30 am. I arrived at 11:15 am and stood at the counter for about 40 min because they couldn't get their system to hold my credit card. Finally, when it was done I was sent outside with no further instruction. Another worker came up to me and grabbed the clipboard I was handed. He had to run back into the building 3 separate times because he kept forgetting the materials the clipboard was supposed to contain. We did an inspection together & the. He had to figure out how to get my pick up truck out of the lot. I mentioned several times that I was on a time constraint and service here took forever. The pickup truck I used did the job I needed. The service here sucks. And they didn't have the option to dropped the truck off at another uhaul. So I had o pay for the extra miles driving it back.

The location I was to pick up the van from was changed from my preferred location to one several miles away. The key that was left in the lock box was for the wrong vehicle, and vehicle that the key was for was blocked by another vehicle. As such, I had to delay my plans for 2 hours waiting for the office to open.

I would recommend overall better attention to details and follow-through. I needed a truck for about an hour, after work, and here's what happened . . . My first reservation was at a location that closed at 6pm. I was told that I could pick up the truck after 6pm using the app. When I arrived, the place was closed, and I discovered a voicemail that had come in while I was at work, asking me to arrive before 6pm. If I would have arrived before 6pm, I would have made my reservation before 6pm! I called U-Haul, cancelled that reservation and made another at a different location. Everything was ready when I arrived and I was quickly in a truck. I noticed that the mileage was off by one mile and pointed it out. A note was made on the paperwork (as well as in the computer) and we both initialed it. Because of this, I was told to not use the app when I returned the truck after-hours, but to leave the paperwork in the truck and the mileage would be adjusted. When I received my contract via email the next day, I noticed that it hadn't been adjusted. I emailed the situation to the address at the bottom, which invited questions or concerns about my experience, but never heard a response. This isn't about paying for one extra mile. I'm writing, because consumer's experiences are based upon both good and bad experiences with a company. A problem that is handled well can result in an even higher opinion of a company than an experience that was generally good from the start. On the other hand, an unaddressed issue can leave a really bad opinion of a company -- especially when it's one issue immediately after another.

Customer service itself was fine - truck was not. Brake failure warning lights were flashing and alarms were buzzing. Got the job done at least. Location, like many LA area Uhaul spots, attracts some "interesting" neighbors but that's to be expected.

Trailer was missing turn light initially and was not water tight. Load got wet before I found and stopped leak. Also was given contract to go to another drop off location that was closed permanently. Will never rent from haul again.
