The car Dolly's straps were broken. Had to wait for them to be replaced. The truck needs a wheel alignment, the cab Leaks, and the engine bucks so hard, it feels like it's going to jump out of the hood.

Grado:

I failed to get her name but the woman who helped us was very friendly and incredibly helpful. A great experience overall!

Grado:

The passenger side mirror was not adjustable it was locked in place. The truck had not been swept before we got it this time. The trucks are usually clean when we rent from them. We rented 5 times this year for moves and projects. The employees there are friendly and helpful. Overall we have had good experiences.

Grado:

The mirrors were a little bit more beaten up then the receipt let on. But otherwise everything was great

Grado:

the lights in the back don't work, the passenger side door doesn't open from the outside, and the driver side door doesn't like to close all the way. We worked with it just fine, but weren't sure if the uHaul folks were aware of it.

Additional charges were placed on my card after return of rental van. The van rental paid included the estimated 10 miles. Upon returning the vehicle in the 24hr process, I was surprised to find a new charge for additional 40 miles. My move was a 2 mile drive and I drove back and forth 3 times. In fact, the gas amount was replenished to it's original level with $10 purchase of gasoline.

Quick in and out service. I would certainly recommend this location to anyone looking to rent a moving truck

Jennifer H. en

Grado:

The customer service was excellent, the vehicle was just what I needed.

CATHLEEN L. en

Grado:

Have the trucks no smoking. It was hard to breathe in a truck that smelled like cigarettes. Other than that the truck and the u haul people were great

JACKIE B. en

Grado:

The customer service at this location was so-so. Nobody was going out of their way to help in an already stressful situation. The truck was fine. The phone service (GO-UHAUL) was awful and where a majority of stress came from. I ended up in tears over the course of three hours with multiple miscommunications on the representatives side along with 20+ min of being on hold every time I called or was transferred to a different department. I will not be recommending U-Haul services to anyone needing rental equipment.

Grado:

The Good Hope Road and 60th Street location is very poor to deal with as they never answer their phones. I had problems with where I was to pick up my truck that I only became aware of 15 minutes before the store closed on Good Hope. It took me over one hour to straighten this out, and I went through 5 different individuals. Finally Joe was able to help me, who, I believe is in Milwaukee scheduling. Chris at the 1st Street location was very helpful as well.

Accused of not returning the truck before staff reviewed set surveillance footage of the night

Grado:

Honor your agreements with customers. Just because you overbooked or oversold vehicles, doesn’t mean that I should be stuck scrambling.

Grado:

Don't over book....also don't tell your customer that they can keep uhaul longer for a fee and then say we can't an hour later and rush us to return it. Have storage then and the elevator was down for months and they raised the rent

Grado:

Van I rented had filthy windows and very dirty rear view mirror. There was a slick spot on the back floor which I hope I don't get blamed for. I told the clerk but you never know.

Grado:

Everyone went above and beyond to assist me during my pick up. Really awesome people work here! Terrific experience.

Grado:

The rear doors on the van were dented along their upper surface. They were marked as being damaged when I picked up the vehicle, but I was surprised that the vehicle was rented out with any amount of damage. More egregiously, I dropped the vehicle off and was overcharged by more than $100. I did not realize the overcharge until I looked at the electronic receipt the day after I dropped off the vehicle. The final receipt listed the per-day rate as $79, when the agreed-upon rate was $19.95. I was also charged for 217 miles, even though I drove it only about 20 miles. I called the location to get the overcharge corrected and was told they were looking into it, but thus far I have not received any call back. For the record, this was under contract 20420524. It was for a van that I picked up at 8:39 am at the U-Haul location on First Avenue in Milwaukee. I dropped off the van at 1:00 pm. I drove it from the pickup location to 1537 Humboldt Avenue in Milwaukee. From there, I drive it to 2717 Pierce Street in Milwaukee, then between the Humboldt and Pierce Street addresses two more times. I then drove it back to the First Street location. I made one stop on the way back to the pickup location to put gas in the vehicle. I can retrace that path on Google maps to prove that it's only about 20 miles.

The van was clean, but I did notice a funk in the vehicle. It was fine riding with the window open, though. I didn't have to go very far.
