They said my tank was at 5/8 when i picked up. But it was under a half tank and i took a picture both with the miles i started with and how much gas was in there. I filled it back up to were i saw it when i got the truck. Now I'm being charged 27 dollars for that. Not right at all

Could never get through to the pickup location directly to confirm truck was available at scheduled time despite national reservation center sending several messages to contact me to confirm. Once I arrived 3 hours past my preferred pickup time due to time I was given by pickup location, I waited an hour to pickup my truck since there was only 1 employee working the entire center!!! He was doing his best but the location was understaffed by at least 300%. If I have ANY other choice I will NOT be using this location ever again.

Hello, I need to express my horrible experience with U-Haul,since we were absolutely appalled and shocked after spending over $2,000 on a 26ft truck and tow dolly (plus $350 in gas). I was surprised to see that there was no veteran's discount but I was happy with one month free storage, so we decided to give your company our business rather than go elsewhere that offers a veteran's discount. I initially ordered a 15ft' truck and tow dolly to be picked up in Middletown, NY on 11/17. I then called Middletown, upgraded my truck to a 26ft and changed the truck pick up day to 11/16. I made sure the person I spoke with knew we would be picking up the tow dolly on Friday afternoon, as initially ordered. Wed night 11/15 I received a text saying that we are to pick up the truck in Monticello (40 minutes total out of the way) when I called customer service I was just told that the location had changed and that was that. On Thurs, 11/16 I waited for about an hr at the pick up location ( a gas station) in Monticello with my toddler and fiance because of an apparent computer issue with no place to sit and wait while customers squeezed by the small counter area. We were then asked if we wanted the $75 insurance. After waiting that long in an uncomfortable setting and having a hard time understanding the guy helping us due to a heavy accent, we told him we would just get the insurance in Middletown the next day when we picked up our tow dolly. On Fri, 11/17 we received a call at 10:30AM telling us our tow dolly had been cancelled and our reservation was booted out of the system and we would have to call corporate to fix it. We explained to the agent that the dolly was supposed to be picked up Fri afternoon on our way out of the state at 2:30, but she still had us call corporate. The agent I talked to fixed the situation, however she made the pick up time 1:00pm, when I told her it needed to be 2:30 since that's when my mother would be home from work and we had to say our goodbyes before we moved from NY to NC. She said, "well you are already on this ice with the manager in Middletown, so I wouldn't push it." After we hung up with her, we called Middletown right away and they said 2:30 was fine. We arrived in Middletown and were then told that we had to get the insurance 15 minutes after picking up the truck the day before. I called and spoke to two corporate agents that just apologized. When I explained that we were never told this by the guy at the gas station, nor did it say this in the contract, one agent said that she only knows this policy because she works there. So we were forced to drive from NY to NC with no insurance. It is hard enough to try and pack up a house with a toddler, two cats, and a dog and move 11.5 hours...U-haul should have made this easier for us, but instead an enormous amount of stress was caused and too much time wasted. We will not be using U-Haul when we move from our storage to our new home. Thank you for yo

Having drop offs closer to the locations that are requested. I had to drive 30 minutes from my new apartment for the drop off when there was a location 10 minutes from my house and it ended up being the reason I was charged an additional fee which I did not receiver any support with when I called in. They charged my card without letting me dispute my case. The equipment and pick up were just fine. Overall, not satisfied with the final part of the process.

I have rented from this location in the past and have had good and bad experiences. One time the visor fell off on me while driving down the highway which could have been dangerous. This time the truck was clean but the windshield was very dirty on the inside. Also, the person who took my reservation made a mistake and thought I was only renting the truck from 6:00 PM till midnight. I told him I needed it for 24 hours. I got a call just before 8:00 AM from Bill who was asking me why I had not returned the truck and needed me to return it right away. I explained that I had the truck until 6:00 PM that day and he was very rude to me about returning it. Not a great customer experience for me.

The drop off process was cumbersome. It would help if the store personnel could identify drop off customers as they walk in and notify the employees handling drop offs. Why should drop off customers wait in the line with pickup customers?

Great location very helpful only issue is that followed the gas regiment for refills had a 1/8 tank before dropping off estimated refill is 16 gallons so naturally i put 16 gallons truck fills up completely full so their deal is no reimbursement for overfill but clearly i followed their rule of thumb

After a tremendous amount of issues online, the store associates were absolutely fantastic. Just fyi, the website should allow customers to search trucks regardless of location. It's a pain in the ass having to search every single location in the vicinity for the truck I need, versus what would be the most optimal search; where you search by - for ex. A 26' truck, it would be a hell of a lot easier to search for that truck and see the nearest locations with it available. As it stands you literally have to search throigh every single location and hope they even have the truck you need. It's the digital age, there is no reason the system shouldn't know exactly what truck is where. Also, get rid of your call center, I booked & confirmed at 26' truck and when I went to the location, 5 other customers where having the exact same problem and we're unknowingly downgraded to 10' trucks because the call center was only concerned with making the sale. The only thing that serves is to piss tthe customer off and making issues for store associates who have to deal with the fall out. Get your electronic side in order u hual, because if it wasn't for the store associates my family would never use your company/rental service again - they were the only good part of the experience.
