The service I received at this UHAUL location was way beyond exceptional!!!!!!!!! I wish I could say the same about the service I received at your Old Town Maine location yesterday. It was way below any imaginable expectations. My daughter and myself have never been treated so badly in our entire lives!!!!!!!! My daughter had an appointment to have a hitch and wiring put on her van for today. Your GM asked her to leave the van at the location yesterday and they would take care of things today. My daughter went to the store yesterday ton drop her van off. The women at the store told her that she did not have an appointment for today, the hitch was not there and refused to let her leave the van saying if she left it, they would most likely lose the key. She also said it would take three weeks plus to get the hitch in. My daughter and myself both tried talking her to and explaining the situation. She became very obstinate, and rude. She kept saying that we do not have an appointment, there is no hitch there for us and it will take three to four weeks to get the hitch. I asked her a number of times to please call the GM to confirm and she refused stating that he is out of town and she will not call him. Then she threw my daughter off of the premises and she refused to talk to me any more. I called your 800 number to see what could be done. The rep was very nice and confirmed that I do have an appointmet for today and the hitch is there. She said that she would reach out to the GM and he would contact me either last evening or at 7AM this morning. This morning, by 9AM, I had not received a call. I tried calling your store and after waiting almost twenty minutes in the cue, one of your operators came on. I explained my situation and was put on hold. After a couple of my minutes, my phone showed that my call had been forwarded to the Old Town shop. After several rings, my call was sent back to your call center and I got the usual message dial this number for that service, etc., and the the call disconnected. I called the 800 number again, and had a long wait. The lady I talked to this time kept saying that I do have an appointment for 12PM today and we need to bring the van over. I tried explaining to her that my daughter is a U of Maine grad student, she is at work and there is no way she can get the van over there. Plus she no way to get back to the school. The person then told me that is usually not her job to take complaints and she should send me to the people who do. As I was at work and had been on the phone for over an hour. She then told me that she had been emailing with the Old Town GM and he said we should reschedule. So I left my daughters contact info and the GM did reach out to her. Now, I am highly agitated and no one at your company has reached out to me as I have requested to discuss this how this problem is going to be resolved. There has been no apology or nothing. My daughter and I were treated beyond very poorly by an employee of your organization and no one cares. This is beyond extremely bad service. We should of had service today. Now, we have to wait to Thursday. This is a bad time of the year for my daughter to be screwing around with something like this. It is exam time and she is trying to keep her high grades up. Not to mention I have over three hours in time on the telephone trying to resolve this and no one is willing to contact me. What a way to do business!!!!!!!! You took my money and I have to wait three extra days for service when this could have been resolved today. I am not a big customer of yours, but if you check my records with you, you will find that I have been a steady customer for almost every vehicle I have purchased since 2004. Based on how i have been treated, and due to the fact no one wants to reach out to me, I am beginning to think that you do not value my business. We had to go way out of our way to get service that we paid for in advance. It is too bad that UHAUL wont go out of their way to do something for us. My daughter had to rearrange her whole schedule this Thursday in order to accommodate you. Guess it is not a two way street Stephen W. I personally don't know how you could make it any better. Everyone there was polite and on their toes to make my experience as easy as could be. First renting the vehicle and then when I brought it back. Both employees we're helpful knowledgeable and polite. My wife and I will have no problem in recommending this location to anyone who asks. 20ft truck got a flat tire before we ever got on the freeway. Tire was repaired at Uhaul rental site. When auto transport trailer was being attached to truck there was a screw in the rear tire. That tire had to be replaced. Our first travel day was five and a half hours wasted from planned departure date. Hit bad weather enroute to WA State and windshield wipers were useless. Upon arrival in WA, Uhaul employee stated that car was improperly loaded on trailer and he wasn't even sure he could get it off. After 45 min of wrangling we finally got car off transport. Terrible equipment maintenance and potential hazard to my safetyLisa D.

The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The cargo van was very clean and Jose found me earlier availability then I could schedule online and I really appreciated that. Change nothing except get someone specifically dedicated to fill propane outside so Jose can keep helping customers indoors without interruption.Katie K.
