The staff was no where to be found. If it wasnâ€™t for an employee who so happened to come in on his day off walked to the back and got the employee members attention, I would still be at the counter till this day. The employee in question, was on the phone when I first walked in talking to someone about a fleet being towed in at 4am that morning and completely ignored me, the customer. I eventually left and returned and the 1st paragraph happened. The storage had no padlock for my unit and staff could careless. If it wasnâ€™t for an employee who works in the fleet area helping me I would be without a padlock.
False promises at drive off of extra time because car problems. Roadside Assistance Reference # 1827551. False promises of a price adjustment from previous phone call to return vehicle because of problems. Before returning. Will work that out at the office. Not have someone waiting for more than an hour for a receipt. Better pricing per mile.
THE LADY IN CHARGE WAS VERY HELPFUL
Hello, Before arrival I had made the appointment online, entered my credit card information, and received an order number via email and thought everything was ready to go. When we arrived it was another story.Â We stood around for 15 minutes before being acknowledged by Amber (who said she was the general manager) who was extremely rude during the entire process.Â She didn't take the order number we had received and said we had to redo everything again on our mobile device.Â Thereby making all preparation to save time & adhere to best covid-19 practices before-hand pointless. After completion of our trip we called in advanced to make sure we were able to return the 10' truck and were told that we could by signing into our account on our phone to finish the trip and put the keys back into the dropbox.Â Upon completion we attempted to login to our account where it said there was no active reservation at the time.Â (picture attached) We tried signing in every possible way we could & also using the confirmation emails we received previously but there was still no way to end our trip.Â Â So we took screenshots of the website & made sure to get video & timestamp evidence just in case.Â We finished the trip around 7:45pm 3-30-2020 with the video evidence and timestamp to prove it.Â Â I called her the following day to make sure the uhaul trip was completed & Amber told me that I was being charged for returning it after 9pm.Â I explained to her everything previously mentioned and she was trying to blame it on us for not being able to use our phones properly and that it was our fault.Â I'm a website developer and know how to use phones properly.Â Â She didn't give me a choice to take the issue up with anyone else & said she was the only person I could talk to about this matter. There was no transparency in the rental, a ton of hidden fees, rudeness, faulty online systems, overall making it the worst experience I've ever dealt with. To make this right I would appreciate a refund of $40 back to the charged card as I was never told anything about the hidden fees I was charged for.
Online check in did not work
I am so satisfied and so impressed with this truck share 24/7 option. All transaction done by phone. Wow!! Customer service was outstanding, handled my location not being open at the time of my reservation due to covid close shop. Customer service find the nearest one which was the Baldwin hills on Obama Blvd. What a great uhaul location and facility !!!! So many Available trucks That I chose to rent. I was in and out so fast. Easiest and fastest truck rental experience For being a first time customer. I recommend this location! Iâ€™m 1 happy customer !
It would had been an ok experience, but you didn't have the appliance dolly that i reserved online days before my pick up. I also checked in online, and was assured i was all set with my reservation. When i arrived , there weren't any appliance dollys available. I had to go to another location to get one. Then, they say I'll have to pay more money in order to be able to leave it at the location I picked up the truck from. It was a bad start and ending to an already stressful move.
I was pleased with the helpful service I received. I only recommend to continued to encourage the workers to stay courteous and helpful to the customers.
I was given the option to self pickup but the location didnâ€™t allow for this. I had to change location last minute.
Perhaps to help train for more accurate reading of odometer? and to not offer cash pay to them for make-up of shortage in billing? Otherwise all fine. thanks.
Yes with a caveat warning to expect long wait times for service. The staff have always been helpful and informative, but there is only ever one person at the desk and wait times for help or service can be excruciatingly long.
Short on staff and app did not work
This was one of the worst customer service experience Iâ€™ve ever received. My original reservation was set for the previous night, but I was called 15 min before pickup and told that mobile pickup would not apply to my reservation. When I got there in line, I realized that my reservation had been mistakenly moved to the next date by the caller and had to call back to change it back. When I got to the front desk, I asked for a queen mattress bag to be placed with my order. The clerk could not find any left and told me it was too late to call another location. I was never called in advance that this would be unavailable so I had to change my plans entirely to the next day. When I asked if I could make sure that a bag would be set aside for me, the clerk told me to just call back in the morning and see what was available, which doesnâ€™t help my case at all. The next morning I called UHaul twice to confirm that they had queen mattress bags. However of course when I showed up again for my reservation, there were none left. This is a really absurd customer service experience; in this case, the customer was not serviced at all and had to go out of her way to make sure she had what needed from the vendor. Additionally, she unnecessarily had to expose herself to potentially getting sick from others twice. Would really appreciate compensation for my troubles. Donâ€™t think Iâ€™ll be recommending Uhaul to others.

Amber did a great job at the Uhaul location in Baldwin Hills BUT. Uhaul dropped the ball in general. I made my reservation at the Venice location. My truck wasnt there. And the employee couldn't bother to call and resolve the problem. He handed me the number to handle myself customer service reserved a truck at the Baldwin hills location. I had to drive over to get the new truck. Waitd an hour to get the truck. This is all while I was paying movers to sit and wait for me to get there with the truck. NOT GOOD
I ordered and was charged for blankets which was not given to me. I had to make a return trip to the dealer to get my blankets. Then I was charged for TWO days rental on the truck when I had the truck from 11:51am to 5:27pm on the SAME day and I only put 18 miles on the truck! Plus I would have returned it sooner had it not been for having to make an extra trip for the blankets. And then to add insult to injury, I was billed the next day for also having the blankets for two days. In all, my experience was unacceptable and I will be contacting your office for corrections.

Amber is incredible - she was single handly running the entire location. She needs more support in order for this location to fully run the way it should.
Only 1 person working was just to time consuming. 1 hour to pick up a reservation van should be unacceptable.
This location was a mess. My husband described it as a â€œnightmareâ€. It was completely understaffed. The return system was disorganized. It took over an hour a half to pick up a prior reserved truck. I would not rent from this location again. The experience was traumatizing.
Vehicle was dirty, mileage and Fuel were not accurate at check out time . However at check in time it was all corrected and handled like true professionals . I really enjoyed my experience!

Estimate price by phone was 370, I paid 432 in store and paid 138 extras when drop off, for 1 hour 35 minutes extra and 7 miles over charged me 138$. When I received the truck the fuel gage was around 3/8, while dropped off was over than check in. also I received the car at 4:55 pm, they put 4:35 instead. When I paid 432$ my estimate tax was 35.99$ and they charged me again 46.45$ for tax.It's a fraud, You charged me 46.55$ tax over 138$ in Los Angeles, means over 33% tax or you charged me 2 times for tax which both is fraud.and 14$ for gas that you never have it.
