I wanted to rent a car tow as well but was told it was a 750 deposit for in town! That is psychotic. You'd think it would be good for business to have people rent a truck and the tow and try to save some money by NOT calling a tow company. Other than that, my experience was absolutely lovely! The lady at the register was very kind and everything was explained in plain language so I could understand everything easily. First time renting a Uhaul, I am impressed with the process. Also, the after-hour return process was awesome. But the app is really really slow to load and failed to mention what I was supposed to do with the key to the truck. Glad my dad saw the overnight return bucket at the door.

I've used uhaul for all mmof my moves and I usually always have a good experience, but this time the truck was not functioning properly. The truck was like a 1999 model and was driving rough like it tried shutting off while on the interstate and actually did shut off on me 3 times while driving through my neighborhood. That truck should be off of the road until fixed or replaced.
Answer phones in a timely manner. Called to have my reserve time pushed forward no one ever answered so I had to take the 15 minute drive just so I can tell them in person that I needed to push my reserve time forward. Another customer came in rite behind me with the same complaint that no one answers the phone. When I went to return trailer they had me wait while they figured out something with their system, wich had nothing to do with me or any customer it could have waited instead of having me wait just to tell me someone outside would inspect the trailer that I was returning. U-haul needs to improve on customer service as well as their management.
After reserving our truck online, the check in was soooo simple and we felt with the General Manager and she was so great. Even at 7am yesterday morning, she was so polite and took care of everything for us. She gave us additional information and confirmation test texts to make sure we had everything we needed. I DEF recommend this location for future u-haul experiences, her alone made it worth the drive.

Try to not rent equipment with all service warnings flashing on the dash. Couldn't even read the odometer.
Inside of the truck smelled like a farm; truck cab was NOT Sanitized- or disinfected, (and this COVID-19 should have SOLIDIFIED A CLEAN TRUCK) let alone Even vacuumed. The seats were VERY uncomfortable, you'd think that you would have better seating in a truck that's got to go ACROSS THR COUNTRY. The transmission was TERRIBLE, getting only 40 MPH uphill on posted 65 mph roads causing major traffic stress with other drivers flipping me off and cussing me out. This trip has taught me, I will never move clear across country with my belongings again using uhaul, next time, I'll ship them and fly. And why they separated the contracts was a bit confusing as well. After spending almost $5200 (including gas costs) This trip was terrible they estimated 2600 miles, and only traveled 2366 miles- when I first returned your equipment the Uhaul associate said I'd be getting a $567 refund, then after several minutes of me trying to snap a picture of the dashboard, he said they â€˜â€œnever charged you for the auto transportâ€. when I picked up the truck I went in with $4000 and told them I was â€œpaying everything up frontâ€, so this is really disturbing, I would like a receipt broke down explaining why when I didn't even USE all the â€˜miles' that were estimated. And getting back only $25.00 from the amount of cash I spent, and considering I have not earned ANY wages in months, used what monies I had saved up to make this happen, and not even knowing WHEN I'll be working again. And your company tried to charge me almost $600 for â€˜not returning equipment to the allotted location' - when the location your people gave me was Roanoke- which is much further that the Axton location that's here. This will get spread over social media as I really think I was taken advantage of during this pandemic, and that's actually the last thing a large company like Uhaul wants put out there. But, alas, people will always need to move, so I'm assuming nothing will get righted in this fiasco of a move, proving yet again, humans are greedy, selfish, and inconsiderate . Total buzzkill. I'll be waiting a response from corporate . I see on social media this happens quite often, pretty pathetic for a million dollar company to abuse customers For more dollars in your pockets. Free rental for customers like me
I HAD A RESERVATION FOR A 26 FT TRUCK THAT I MADE 3 WEEKS BEFORE MY MOVE DATE. ONE DAY BEFORE MY MOVE I WENT IN PERSON TO THE U-HAUL LOCATION TO CHANGE MY PICK UP TIME. I WAS TOLD MY NEW TIME WAS OK AND WOULD CAUSE NO PROBLEM. WHEN I WENT TO PICK UP THE TRUCK I WAS TOLD THERE WERE NO 26 FT TRUCKS AVAILABLE. I WAS SENT TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION THAT HAD A 26FT TRUCK. WHEN I GOT TO THE NEW LOCATION I WAS TOLD THAT I COULD ONLY HAVE THE TRUCK FOR 16 HOURS. THIS DID ME NO GOOD SINCE I COULD NOT MOVE AT NIGHT [NO HELP AVAILABLE]. I ASKED FOR A SMALLER TRUCK [20FT] BUT THERE WERE NONE. FINALLY I RENTED A 17FT TRUCK FOR ONE 24 HR DAY. THIS SMALLER TRUCK REQUIRED 3 TRIPS TO MOVE MY STUFF. THIS ENTIRE TRANSACTION LEFT ME VERY MAD, MY RESERVATION MEANT NOTHING AND I WAS TOLD UNTRUE STATEMENTS. THE TRUCK WAS ALSO IN BAD SHAPE. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE.

The reservation/ sign in process was simple and the general was very helpful and patient with me (first time using uhaul). All staff members were eager to help and made me feel comfortable with my many first timer questions. -E Elisara
My overall experience with U-Haul was on a scale of 1 to 10 I would say 7 7 being that I had to travel all the way from the north side were there is more than two or three four locations to the the south east side off of Boulder Highway just to pick up the equipment I ordered the equipment a week in advance and that was more than enough time to have the equipment sent or shipped or even moved to a closer location therefore I wasn't very happy with that at all and then they told me that will be an additional $45 to $50 to drop it off closer to my house just because I used to equipment in town I think that right there was unethical in itself so that's why I'm giving you a 7 overall rating FYI regional managers branch managers managers in general site managers whatever you call them oughta be more aware and update the equipment that they have because it makes no damn sense whatsoever for me to have to travel all the way across town although I am grateful but it doesn't make no sense to pass up all these U-Haul locations on my side of town just to go get the equipment I needed keep in mind it wasn't last minute they had a week to do it...

Not charge for safe move without asking if it is wanted or needed. The only way I knew I was charged was thru the on line receipt. Otherwise I like this location.
