I could not complete my order online. I was not able to speak to someone in the local office, it would send me to the national U-Haul phone system where I was put on hold way way too long, it happened multiple times. I will not use U-Haul again because of that, it appeared to be very unorganized. Then 45 minutes before my scheduled pick up I was texted to tell me the equipment I had RESERVED was not available but a smaller size was. Equipment was fine service was horrible.Glenn C.

I rented a 6 x 12 Trailer and was due to return on 5/2/21 at 10:00. I received a phone call from the Ambassador Caffery store asking if I would be able to return the trailer today instead of tomorrow because they really needed one. I agreed to help them out. I could have brought it back tomorrow but, i will be renting a truck next week, and i could get the remainder of my items then. Let's see here is the issues with the truck I rented: Front windshield loose Driver door didn't latch Windshield wipers bad Lights so yellow couldn't see road Rented to me on "E" Problems with trailer I rented The crank system was broken so I had to leave my car in another state! Location: No one EVER answers the phone I will never rent from uhaul ever again and I will leave a bad review on all social media platforms! Oh and lodge a complaint with DOT and BBB.Rhonda L.
Amy and Austin helped me at the 3700 Ambassador Caffery location in Lafayette, LA. There is something seriously wrong with the customer service. I was ignored by Amy, and this is a direct quote from Austin "I don't know everything about U-Haul." Turns out he was typing a voucher code (that he claims I already used even though it was bought two days ago) into the area where you pay for a credit card. Both refused to call the manager and said there was nothing else they could do. Austin then informed me that his manager was at a funeral. True or not, it is irrelevant to the situation. SERIOUSLY REVIEW THIS LOCATION. It is losing you business. I will write a review everywhere I can. You don't have competition but it could be on its on way so I'd get your customer service on point. I've seen similar complaints online. You take people's money but you are slow to give it back WHEN IT'S NOT YOURS. We are going through a global pandemic.MELANIE H.

When renting the uhaul. I wasn't sure of how many miles I was going to be using. So the guy said estimate, we only charge you for what you use. I used way less. But upon returning the new guy charged me full price of my estimate. I found the guy on renting it, to be helpful and doing a great job. Now the guy when I returned it, I find was lazy. He didn't want to do a check in. He made a face when, I said I needed a receipt. Very unprofessionalSTEVEN W.
Ambassador was good but it took three locations to finally secure a truck I made reservations at the kaliste saloom location I get there and the truck was running late and they couldn't get another They made a reservation to the Johnston st location and they were closed plus they made reservations for a truck that wasn't even available there. I get to ambassador location there system/pos crashes in the middle of my transaction So it was rough before it was better but ambassador location went above and beyond to make sure I didn't leave without a uhaulMELANIE S.

The truck was clean. However, the truck needed to be aligned, it pulled to the right very hard. The headlamps were EXTREMELY dim, there was no fluid in the wiper tank and the windscreen was very dirty. The vehicle was very difficult to drive at night for these reasonsJerry B.
