When I did a quote on line it came to $168.00 but when I picked it up it coated me 188.40. This needs to be addressed on the quarter that the are not any hiding cost.

I rented a 6X12 dual axle trailer. It would be nice to have a jack to help with hitching and unhitching. The trailer is great and affordable.

Quick/Easy Rental - In and out with no wait. Owner explained everything in detail, walked around truck with me and checked all lights before I left with truck.

Extra nine miles was caused by us trying to turn the truck in at Manteo, NC, which was the closest place to our destination; but It was so obscure, we couldn't find it, so we had to go to Colington Island, Kill Devil Hills, the next day.

Original drop off was Point Harbor, NC. Drove there Dec 9 to drop off at 4pm and it was closed (advertised closing time was 5pm). Felt uncomfortable leaving trailer there with no documents to prove I did therefore went to another location. Was called by Point Harbor and scolded that I should have left it there even though he closed and told I personally should get in touch with U Haul to verify I drop it off too avoid additional charges. Bad service and I knew nothing about absentee personnel drop off. He should have been there in first place.

It seemed that there was a lot of clicking going on for this simple rental—an appliance cart for a day. Maybe have a simplified rental agreement form for non truck/trailer rentals.

The phone number for this location did not have a working voice mail for me to leave a message after hours. That could be improved.

This was my first time dropping off here, I was glad this location opened as it is closer to my home. I was met by Mr. Kennedy, he was very kind and he too was concerned that my rental experience was a good one.

This is a U-Haul related comment and not related to a particular location... Price vs. value was disproportionate. I could have rented the same trailer locally in Waynesville, hauled it to Kitty Hawk, kept it for a week and returned it for almost half the price. The price I paid to rent a 4x8 trailer one way was extremely excessive. On top of that, the traffic department tried to get me to return the trailer an hour away, even sending an email indicating that I had agreed to this location, which was not the case. The local dealer said "most convenient location". I would have passed about 5 dealers on the way to the location where I was initially instructed to return the trailer.
