You made us go over an hour one way to pick up car hauler and didnt even give us a call or email to let us know before pickup date. This is the second time uhaul has done this to us. First time it may be a mistake but two times it is a policy. I will be posting this on social media.

The rental return time was unclear. The pickup point representative stated it simply had to be returned before the return location closed. Later I discovered that the return time was approximately the same time I picked it up. Confusing!

The owner of the store is a little over the top Christian. Which normally is fine but he's also a wise guy. I let that go when I rented from him about three weeks ago. For example, when I said I didn't order a handtruck he said it's on the contract and the contract print was so small and impossible to read and I hadn't even taken possession of the hand truck yet so he should've taken it back and off the contract. That handtruck got in the way and cost me $10. Also the truck only had 3/4 of a tank of gas which meant I had to figure out how to put 3/4 of a tank of gas in it at the end of the trip. He had something obnoxious to say about that too.

Thorough review of the truck here. Make sure any and all marks are identified with a circle X when you rent or Colington Pawn will likely charge you unless you bought the insurance.

I was charged a $25 dollar cleaning fee with $1.69 tax. The truck didn't need cleaned. I thought that was a little shitty especially when I had to throw food away that was left in the truck at pickup.

I have a 5 year old U-Haul trailer hitch and recently had a new wiring converter and harness installed by a local auto repair shop. When I picked up the trailer in Bluffton there was only a female pigtail on the trailer, which I expected. I hooked the male connector on my harness to this pigtail. When I returned the trailer to this pawn shop location the owner told me to give him my wiring. When I told him it was mine he did not believe me and insisted on inspecting the wiring for the U-Haul brand. When he saw that it was not a U-Haul harness, there was no apology for his mistake. He only said that U-Haul didn't rent trailers without the full harness. He was very suspicious of me, even though it was plain the wiring harness was mine. To add further insult, he told me to "Have a blessed day" as I was leaving. I looked around and saw various religious signs and slogans. This person needs to practice what they preach. I do not enjoy having my character impugned in such a blatant and dismissive way. I will not be using this location for my needs again. And I will tell all my friends of my experience.

Location seemed disorganized and it doesn't seem like the technology for reservations is being utilized. Even after uploading drivers license and paying for equipment, still had to present drivers license and credit card at pickup. Truck roof leaked.

Gentleman that checked us in was very helpful and informative. Pulled in right at closing and he was very respectful and was no issue for him. He thanked me for folding the blankets and tying the dolly so it didn't roll around in the back.

I worked with a gentleman Gary at this location and I have to say it was probably one of my best customer experiences at any retail outlet over the past 10 years. I called Gary shortly before the site posted closing time and he was very accomodating and assured me they would be open when I got there. The online checkin followed up by equipment check in with Gary was outstanding. I arrived and even had to switch my trailer type AFTER Gary had already hooked it up. He was so gracious through the entire process, it was amazing, his patience was extremely appreciated. Gary was professional and thorough in hooking up the trailer for me and making sure there were no safety issues. I really can't describe enough how great the experience was and certainly further cemented my already high opinion of the Uhaul locations.

The location was old, not very inviting, and the management, although polite, failed to follow through with me on a billing issue. On the day of my drop off, the Uhaul self return application failed to work correctly. I contacted customer service immediately, they confirmed and documented my efforts to compete the self return process. The manager at the drop off location checked my vehicle in, charged a drop off fee, without consulting the customer service notes in my file. The manager advised that he does not read customer service notes; rather he simply proceeds with the check-in process. The manager advised that the Uhaul self service return application is experiencing problems. The manager advised that he would consult with U-Haul for authorization to refund my check-in fee and contact me with the results of his efforts, however I never heard back from the manager. This was a failure of U-Haul and the manager, resulting in the customer being charged. Definitely not a good customer service experience. Until this experience I was a loyal Uhaul customer.
