17ft truck had some pretty gnarly outside damage but they told me about it beforehand. I documented with pictures as per the website they linked to me for that purpose. Had no effect on how the truck handled. Easy in and out. Polite staff. Hope I don't have to but would use again.

When someone makes a reservation, that item should be ready to go when the person shows up. When I arrived to pick up a car carrier, the employee didn’t know where it was. Once he found it, he didn’t have a key to the U-Haul truck that was blocking it in. Had to wait for his boss to show up with a key to the truck to move it out of the way. Most unprofessional experience I’ve ever had with U-Haul.

On a Saturday right when the office opened the clerk had 4 customers to attend to all by himself. All of us were patient but also had to rearrange my movers due to the nearly 1 hour delay, even though I had made reservations on line it didn't help. He said the truck had been double booked for the day due to me not checking it out on time, but I was waiting in line for him to help me when it most likely got double booked. He found another truck but ended up having a tail light out so we had to switch again. The process for returning after they closed (5 minutes after closing time) ended up taking 45 minutes as well with all of the questions and pictures to submit. Understandable the company needs to make sure things are good but definitely not what I had time for with moving and how much I had to do that night. The clerk himself was great and had a good attitude with all of the stress.

I received a text to drop off at this location. Chris then told me that he can't take the auto transporter. Uhaul schedulers contacted Don and he got hold of another dealer that came and got the truck and transporter. They came throught and saved the day.

It was easy enough to rent the truck, and I was told that if I wanted to return the truck after hrs i was supposed to use my smart phone and go on the website. I sat in the parking lot for over an hr trying to get the truck returned talked to 2 different people from customer service, the first lady had no idea what she was doing and then I had to sit there on hold for 30 mins to talk to the next person to try to help me. You should simplify your app or give people step by step direction on what to do because having to sit there for over and hr just to try to get it returned is ridiculous and really irritating.

The Uhaul did not have a dolly like I had reserved. I really appreciated that they searched other trucks and called another location, and were able to provide a dolly for my use.

Absolutely nothing Jose Jaimez at Clearwater secure storage has great customer service and know how to interact with customers and making them feel safe and good about their renters. I felt like family walking into this privately own uhaul! He is the kind of person I want to hire as a business owner that I am.

They forgot to explain that when returning truck after hours I needed to check it in online. My phone notified me at scheduled time but since I dropped it off 2 hours early I wasn’t at the location to check it in as it requires. Had to call customer service

over charged my credit card for almost $500 by mistake, then had to wait for the credit to take it off. They charged the correct amount the same day.

The truck and the contract did not match. Over 21,000 miles off. Gas did not match. The truck was not swept out or cleaned prior to us picking up, did not know this until we went to load up at our house. Took an hour to pick up the truck. I take responsibility for not checking but after an hour and being given the wrong key/filling out the contract 3+ times, and having my ride wait for an hour for me, I did not remember to check the gas and mileage against the contract until I arrived home 5 minutes later. Moving is stressful enough to not be walked through the process step by step before driving off, I felt like this was an error with training. Had I not been so pressed for time to have to be out of our house I would have returned it and went another route. I'm sure it was an oversight and the kid working there seemed frustrated and flustered and embarrassed, but I definitely would not recommend

We had a reservation for 9 am on Monday morning and no one was there. My husband called the number on the door multiple times with no response. I tried calling and talked to Jose, who sounded irritated with my call as well as surprised that no one was there and said someone should be there eventually... it wasn't a great impression, or very professional. Someone with good customer service would apologize for the inconvenience, at the very least, rather than sound put out. We got our u-haul eventually and everything seemed fine. Throughout the rental process, I received texts confirming our reservation. We had planned on renting the u-haul on a Monday and returning it on Wednesday evening; however, I received a text on Wednesday that our reservation was scheduled to end on Thursday at 10 am. Thinking we had it until Thursday morning (because of the text they sent), we kept it overnight so we could focus on unpacking boxes at our new house. The rental agency ended up charging us for keeping it an extra night. When my husband showed him the text that the u-haul service provider sent, he said it was to remind us to return it. I am so confused why he would send us a "reminder" text with the wrong day and time. It seems like a complete scam. We had no intention of keeping the u-haul an extra night UNTIL the text came saying it wasn't due until the following morning. So frustrating! The u-haul itself was totally fine, but the rental agency leaves a lot to be desired. I would recommend finding a different location to rent from.

I feel that wats advertises online for 40 dollar truck plus gas is way off from what u really charge we paid 140 when we replaced the gas ourselfs and already paid 70 on top of that so I feel it’s a huge rip off thanks anyways
