Dolly did not have straps. Front desk assistant did not have good customer service. The drop off location I selected was not there and if it was it was very hard to find so I had to go to another one further away. I will not be using Uhaul again. There are so many other companies that will help you while wearing a smile and systems that will make returning items convenient.

We were overcharged one day and no one picks up the phone. We were told to get it back and we dropped off at 10:30 on Thursday June 12...so they could give to another customer. So they are double dipping. We wanted it for Friday but we’re told we could not have it. Very irritating

I registered a complaint on Saturday June 8th because of a HORRIBLE experience in picking up a 20ft truck. I was told I would be contacted within 48 hours. As of this evening (June 13th), no one has contacted me. Checking the truck back in was a breeze. Very smooth and easy.

When multiple people of the same ethnic group are in the store, ask if they are together, do not assume they are in the same party. Serve your customers in the order they arrive. If there are restrictions to the reservation process i.e. must have a cell phone, cannot use a debit card, must have proof of the location you are driving to...have these things posted in your service area. Have service agent explain estimated charges. Do not state it as xxx base charge & more if you exceed the mileage. State what additional mileage charges are, for example "$0.59/mile over 30 miles". The customer should not have to ask the agent for this information. Give examples of liable damages impacting the reservation. Do not just say the customer is liable for damages. Train sales clerks not to yell at customers. Learn how to manage challenges with what can be done (positive) instead of what "we don't do or you can't get"(negative). Maybe use some training scenarios with your staff & cultural training periodically. Bad service affects the company bottom line. I want you business to be successful so that it can remain in my area & be a convenience for me. You are my neighborhood U-haul store & I have used your services multiple times in the past, however, after this experience, you are no longer my "go-to" company for small moving needs. I am willing to go a little farther & pay a little more money to be treated with respect. -South Kansas City Resident for 45 years.

The Manager called and cussed me out because we needed the truck and extra day. Then he said he was going to give my phone number out to other customers because I was the reason they didn’t have a truck. I had numerous calls that afternoon. Complete breach of privacy and I’m not done with this.

Your employees are the worst team of agents I ever had the displeasure of working with. I’ll be fair and say, it could be just a Missouri thing. The scheduling agent that was local in KC, spoke like she was guaranteed her job no matter how much empathy she lacked. When I lodged a complaint and her boss called back, his below average understanding of the situation led me to realize where she got her inability to do her job. When I went down to Grandview MO to pick up the uhaul, I thought I was on a hidden-camera TV show. I’m trying to be as kind as possible, but in order to relay the truth, I have to say that your reps at that store are ABSOLUTE GARBAGE of employees. While I was there, they were antagonizing customers, had 2 fights almost break out with your employees and the customers, were rude, spoke over customers and seemed to love the statement, “that’s not my problem” as I heard that probably 10x. While your agent was servicing me, he was defending his teammate (who told a customer at one point that he was the regional manager) shouting over to his teammates customers stuff like, “sir, you can get out of our store if you don’t like our policy” and “you can keep staring at me all day, you don’t scare me” then disrespectfully talking about the customer to me (with him still standing there). I was literally staring at him wondering if he was born or hatched. At one point your agent servicing me told me to pay him $30 cash to help me hook up my car to the auto transport and if I didn’t, I’d have to do it myself. Is that standard policy??? I use to be a quality consultant for a major corporation for 10 years so I’m very keen on poor customer service. This was by far, the most comical, most disgustingly terrible service I’d ever experienced in my ENTIRE life. If I were you, I’d send an investigation team down to your store undercover and watch the comedy show known as your employees. I guarantee you, you’ll be ashamed and embarrassed that they represent your company. If you care. I use to look at uhual as the trademark in moving. I would say things like, “I need to rent a uhaul truck” and not, “I need to rent a moving truck”. You’ve branded me as the industry standard. But that was before. After this experience, I will do everything in my power to use other moving companies (regardless of cost), and try to forget you even exist.

I know it’s not pleasant working on a Sunday but thank you for being open. I’m happy to report that I got done what needed to be done. I’ve used this U-Haul location twice this year. My experience was excellent and those guys who worked on a Sunday should be rewarded. I will be back

only thing i recommend is when its the end/first of the month please provide these guys with more but they did a excellent job trying to move as fast as they can with only 2 people as staff and 10 customers in line waiting. the staff handled it best and professionally as they could. so no complaints there, but get these guys a little more help. maybe while there doing the desk computer work you could have a few more guys in the back bringing the trucks up...these guys were doing both all by themselves. but again, they handled it magnificently

Person at counter was upset already . He didn't feel like being at work. Didn't explain to me that I would be charged $20 for gas and $30 dollar convince fee if I forgot to fill tank. The tank wasn't that much off from when I started. It was overall unprofessional . highly upset but oh well .
