Grado:

Don't have customers stuck on hold for an hour, . Also when a reservation is made then it should be kept at the store of choice. Not make it at another store and not tell the customer. Store was great it's the customer service representative that failed. So 2 stars for 800 #

Uhaul needs to fix their software. It took over a half hour as the people struggled getting things right in the system.

I got over charged on mileage i did the same rought i took the truck on and it was 12.4 miles and got charged for 50 miles. Went to the store where i got the truck from and the general manager had no interest in helping me at all so i said forget it. Im not happy because im getting screwed over again by this company. U guys realy need to check the mileage on your truck before you rent them out just so the truck maches the paper work so u guys cant screw other people on your bussines even though i know first had that is how u run your trucks.

I went to pick up my uhaul and had to wait an hour to get it. There definitely needs to be more than one person working at pick up times. They were very polite tho.

Grado:

I paid double the price for the uhaul the employee lost the key. I wanted to pay in cash but he said he needed my card to hold the vehicle and that i would be able to come back in and pay in cash after i returned the uhal. The transaction put my account in the negative because it took the money out any way. Bad experience.

It was a great inconvenience to drive all the way to this location for pickup during a very stressful move.

The pick up took over an hour due to the long line of people even though we had a prior order. The return was quick and very efficient.

Overall my experience was great but I felt bad for the person working. He was the only one there and he was running his butt off when I picked up and dropped off. He was busy. He was polite, nice and took care of me and all the other customers great !! He deserves a raise and a vacation !!

TOOK OVER AN HOUR TO DROP OFF TRUCK. ONE PERSON BEHIND DESK AND THE 24/7 APP DID NOT WORK. KEPT LOCKING UP AFTER TAKING PICTURE OF DASH BOARD. HORRIBLE SERVICE.

Grado:

Service people are often unfriendly and uninformed. The wait times are atrocious. Today I waited outside with the equipment as instructed by the sign f-o-r-e-v-e-r while people who walked into the store continued to be helped first. When I called I got the corporate office and their solution was to offer to leave a message. I had two kids in car seats so I unhooked the equipment myself. That was a treat to watch I'm sure. I hate renting equipment there. Every time it is some issue.

If going to be open on holidays; be properly staffed and train staff on considerate handling of customers. I was left ALONE inside the store, along with eventually 2-3 other customers eventually, waiting for over 45 minutes while the apparent (1) CSR left to go outside with what were the only two other customers in the store when I arrived. I finally located him outside on the lot & gave him the keys telling him I couldn't wait any longer. You don't leave customers standing at the counter, for 45 mins, if one customer needs a half an hours worth of help, explain to them your situation and that you'll come back to them after you take care of your other customers. I may try another rental service the next time I have a need.

The unit I received could not get the key out of ignition to use the extra key to open the lock on the tailgate. Also locj would not close easily. Not enough help behind the counter especially just upon opening the doors. I was never told I had to put the foot on the brake pedal to get the key out of the ignition. How,many people know to do this???

When there is four people with truck reservations at 9am on a Sunday, have more than one person there so person number three in line doesn't have to wait 35 minutes to get their rental. That was our experience a couple mornings ago. Then when we do finally get our truck we only get 9.5 hours of rental time because waiting for service is apparently part of the rental experience. I did give an extra star because our 160,000 mile truck did have a hard time getting up hills but it never broke down, so that was nice.

I was not pleased that I had to go so far from where I had scheduled my pick up with less than 24 hour notice of the change in pick up.

I waited a half hour to get checked back in and the poor woman ahead of me had been standing there 20 minutes longer than that. Plus they couldn't find her Uboxes. My mileage was 20 miles and when I topped off the tank it cost me $12.65. It obviously had not been topped off when I got it.

This location was incredibly understaffed, and incompetent. I came to pick up a truck that I had reserved; and the lady at the front was not able to answer any questions. The truck was too large, and not cleaned out, the trailer had debris in it, and the cab smelled slightly of smoke. I asked to exchange the truck for one of the (4) 17 foot trucks that were in the lot; I was told it could not be done, but the more experienced staff person did rush out and get the back of the truck cleaned out. (When I returned the truck at Venice I cleaned it out before dropping it off I found half a cigarette in the door latch on the passenger side, and food stuff, not mine under the driver seat.) I had an opportunity to haul a trailer from Chicago to Chattanooga as a UHaul equipment transfer and wanted to do it since I would be compensated for the gasoline, however with the size of the truck I was not sure I would be able to manipulate it without some practice. It turned out that the trailer was not ready any how. The truck was about 2/3 full and the road was bumpy, the brakes did not work well, the mileage was horrible. The last leg of my journey had some rainy weather. I Had some valuables that were packed in the "attic" area. When I arrived at my destination and unpacked the load I discovered the attic leaked. I had packed several valuable items there thinking they would be safe a guitar case and artwork were wet and damaged. The brakes were very sluggish and noisy, so I suppose I should be grateful I made it at all. If I had had a smaller truck the gas expense would have been less, the ride would have been better, the items may not have been damage, I may have been able to haul the trailer. Another point of the incompetence was when I went back to drop off the dolly (within a day of picking up the truck) a young man that was behind me in line, that had asked to apply for work there, was working behind the counter he told me I would have to wait for the other (experienced) staff , The experience has left me wanting to never use UHaul again and warn my friends and others about this location.

Grado:

Location under staffed; person behind the counter could not answer questions and had trouble finding information; I wanted to use a smaller vehicle; was told it was not possible to change to smaller vehicle, despite the fact that there were 4 17' trucks.I stepped outside to think about it and openned the back of the truck and found it to be dirty. Meanwhile there was a young man that came in when I was still deciding, that was interested in applying for work, the next day when I returned the dolly he was behind the counter and could not help me. After I got on the road, I kept getting a smell of an ashtray, or a cigarette, later, before I returned it and when I cleaned the cab out I found a half smoked cigarette in the passenger door release. I was also supposed to be able to haul equipment from chicago to chattanooga, but with that huge vehicle I was not sure I could do it, also the trailer was not ready and at the location that I had agreed to pick it up so I had to give up that task that would have allowed me some cost rebate. It ended up that I drove a vehicle that was barely 2/3 full which was extremely bumpy, barely getting 7 miles to a gallon; it was a waste. I had traveled through rain at the end of my journey, and when unloading I found that the "attic" leaked damaging a guitar case and a picture. I do not plan on using Uhaul ever again and will share my terrible experience with anyone who would care to listen.

Sunday morning we waited in line (5deep) for 1 1/2 hours to get a reserved truck. Then the woman who was trying to help us could not remove the hitch from a returned truck to place it on ours. She had to have the customer and other staff help. Very bad staffing issues.

Grado:

Make sure the customer knows how to turn on the air conditioning. Make sure they have water when moving on a such a hot day.
