I signed up and chose that I wanted a human to help me. Then after I reserved the truck I go an email changing me to self checkout, without my input. The location was confusing, there was no human to help, the lockbox was tricky. I don't recommend pickup locations without humans, and I think the website should be incredibly clear what the situation is when they reserve a U-Haul.

Not enough parking. Lack of instructions on how to do a virtual drop off. Virtual drop off required photos which were impossible to do give the parking spaces at the lot.
JONATHAN MI dropped off off-hours, so there was no one there, but the location was fine. The directions on Waze don't get you quite to the right lot, but they do have lots of signs.
ALLAN VThere is nothing wrong with rental location per se. The problem is the u-haul app and the pick up process is an unmitigated disaster. I couldn't make it work and had to call a supervisor. While I was at the location, the three other people were also unable to use the app to get there vehicles and had to call for help. Your app is useless to either pick up or return a vehicle. To return the vehicle after what I thought was a completed return process and locking the vehicle etc. it then asked for pictures of the exterior of the vehicle. Those pictures should be at the beginning of the process after confirming the gas and mileage. All in all, I would say the neighborhood model was more trouble than it was worth given the ineptitude of the app. The only saving grace about this whole process was Ken Richardson. Without his help and guidance I wouldn't have ended up with a van on one day or have been able to pick the vehicle up or return in on another. Basically, your app is so bad that I had to call Ken both to pick up the vehicle and to return it because the interface is so bad
Douglas DSpecify the Uhaul pick up instructions so the code to get the keys are actually available at the time of the reservation.
