Customer service was great. However, first, they forgot to load my dolly that I paid for and I actually had to drive back and pick it up and load it into my car. My biggest complaint however was the UHAUL truck that I rented was in POOR condition. After my truck was fully loaded, the truck didn't even START! The battery literally died and we were stuck for 30 minutes in the sun, with no A/C trying to jump the truck and figure out what we needed to do. Thank God, luckily our movers (AZ EZ MOVING) came back, and we successfully jumped the truck after a few attempts. I was so angry that it was wasted time, because I am paying the movers per hour and we wasted so much time because of a broken down truck. What if it never started up again???? THEN we would of had the worst moving experience ever.

My drop off was not what I selected. They were closed so I left the truck and dolly as instructed by customer service. Got called 6 days later asking when I was going to return the dolly. It was returned! Clueless.

I was surprised to see that U-Haul did not carry the possible adapters for the braking systems? The guy said there are three different sizes for the one that goes with the pick up truck. I had to spend two hours driving around parts stores to find the correct connector. When I booked the truck the gal on the phone said it was a standard one.

We returned the truck just after they closed. A notice on the drop box would've been extremely helpful that states to check out on u-haul.com BEFORE putting the keys in the box! We had no idea, so dropped off the keys and then found the online check out info in our paperwork (while looking for something else), so u-haul didn't get the exact pictures they were asking for because we no longer had access to the truck's cabin. Frustrating experience.

I had truck originally scheduled for location across from my neighborhood in San Tan Valley AZ at beginning of week but an hour later was told that size truck would not be available there and that I needed to go to different location in Queen Creek AZ. This isn't a lot further so agreed to that location and changed time to 12:30 pick up from the original 2:00PM pick up time in San tan Valley. However this morning got a phone call that they made a mistake and didn't have my truck at the Queen Creek location and that I would have to drive yet another 10 miles into Gilbert AZ to pick truck up at 12:30 PM. Was told I would get a $50.00 credit so that was okay. Then got another call an hour later confirming my pick up for 2:00PM in Gilbert location and was confused, I said no it's for 12:30PM, said oh sorry will change that now and not to worry truck was there waiting. Then on self check out it said it was reserved for 1:00AM so had to call back to get that sorted out so I could get the truck using self check out online. I did self check out and was at location when it was closed. My truck was hard to find, third row to the back out of 4 rows of trucks and trailers and then there was a uHaul truck directly behind it and trailers just to the front of it which made it a little difficult to get out when I picked it up. (I have pictures to show it) I had to pull forward a little and then maneuver the back end to the left and ran over lots of desert shrubs to squeeze out (not damaging shrubs but not normally something you should have to run over either) Then I was charged for two days use, $94 during self check out that came out instantly from my account (which I know is normal) when I scheduled it for just a 24 hour use. I had no choice but pay at the time though as I had people waiting to help me load truck up. I returned the truck just 3 hours later and when I did the self check in it wanted to charge me another $64!!! Clicked the do not agree button thankfully though and called customer service. I have never had a worse experience with uHaul. I just rented a pick up truck from uHaul a week ago at the San Tan Valley location and was a cake walk. Truck was up front waiting so easy to find, payment was correct and no issues at all.

The easiest rental ever. Sunday in a holiday weekend and I was able to pickup very early, before any business would be open for hours, and drop off the truck without seeing or talking to one person. The mobile device pickup and drop off was super easy and convenient.

SSC auto did nothing wrong and everything right and I would recommend them as a pick up location. If only uhaul could have done their job. I would never and will never recommend or use Uhaul for anything even for boxes. They do not deserve my or anyone I know business. It took me 3 hours of back and forth communication/miss information/them messing up my pick up location and times then stating they did not. There was 0 customer service, lies, and complete frustration. They even told me I will be getting a discount for all of the trouble.....and got nothing. 3 hours in the Arizona heat standing next to the truck I was supposed to get and being 3 hours backed up in my moving schedule. They where my only option because of my location but I now know other trucks are worth the extra drive. Uhaul took 0 responsibility and 0 apologies until I actually got someone to correct it. Oh, and if they say they are going to talk to their supervisor, they call a 'supervisor' because most are working from home, not in a office, so their is no instant fixing or satisfaction. Joke of a company and unnecessary frustration and delays.
