Check-in, After hour return were all very smooth and a great experience. The trucks could be inspected more thoroughly though, I had a 10' truck that seemed to pull to the right and needed constant adjustment, especially when going at 60 and over.

I use U-Haul because it’s close and quick. Today was no exception and thanks to Les it was a breeze. This is a guy that is always busy but never to busy to take care of you. While I was waiting I watched him with a guy who had never pulled a trailer explaining absolutely every detail pretty much the way I am with my customers. I do not know how to maintain the gas tank as 5/16 full when I return the truck. Unfortunately I returned the truck with almost 100% full. I asked the staff whether I can have some kind of gas credit next time when I rent the truck from uhaul. I told him that I do not feel it is right to pass the puzzle to the customer to maintain the gas tank less than full. He showed indifferently, just asked me to reread the contract where it shows that it is customer’s responsibility to maintain the gas as the same level when returning the truck. He did not show any sympathy, nor trying to find a solution to avoid the similar scenario happening to another customer. First of all, I do not think it is right. Secondly, I do not feel I am respected to be uhaul’s customer. I am super disappointed for this rental Experience and the people I met in 2 uhaul locations.

Justin was great but the guy on Thornton sucks I reserved a 10ft. truck and trailer drove 200 miles to find out there's no truck or trailer but I can drive 50 miles one way get a truck come back go some were and get a trailer I called 5other u hale one lady said I could go to San Francisco Justin saved the day it took me over 28 hours to tow a car 200 miles with no sleep go some were else 50 dollar guarantee BS got there to nothing nothing but BS thank you Justin nice to see someone that dose there job great service thank you

The passenger door was pretty badly dented. There were some issues with the gas tank as it spilled out gas several times during the filling. We were given a truck with 1/8 tank of gas so had to fill it soon. We could find nowhere in the info how big the gas tank was or how many MPGs we might anticipate to plan our fills. We returned it with just under 1/2 tank of gas.

Terrible, terrible experience. Tried to escalate complaint to manager. Was told I would receive a call from manager within 48hrs. 48 hrs later, still haven’t received a call. Problem was not with the Grimmer location but with “traffic” — the person who arranges pick up of trucks over the phone.

At counter line wait times can be improved by having multiple reps helping customers. All too often, the counter is staffed with only one person causing lines to form.

I have always found the Grimmer Uhaul location to be much better than the one on Thornton Avenue. Joey Moore and all the management at the Grimmer location have been very supportive of the Boy Scouts and have provided us with a discount on the rentals to show their support for our young men and for the scouting program. They are WONDERFUL!!!

We reserved a 15' truck 2 weeks prior to pick-up date for a one way from Northern Ca to Southern Ca. I called the afternoon before to verify store hours and was told the location we chose had no trucks, and was directed to the 800 #. After speaking to a CS Rep, I was told no trucks were available in the size I booked. I asked to speak to a Manager, and I got Laura at the Oakland Traffic Office. Laura was rude and basically gave me the middle finger over the phone. Her option was driving 60 miles from our original location and take it or leave it. After I asked to speak to her manager she told me no and said she was it. She threatened to hang up on as well. I asked for her phone number which she gave me (ended up being the incorrect number). We accepted the other location. I called to verify and was told by Ky he had no trucks. When I called Laura back is when I discovered she gave me the wrong number. This office was kind enough to give me the correct number. In the meantime my home decorating staged was at my house and overheard everything. She contacted a GM, Les with UHAUL as she is a loyal customer with her business. He immediately took action and booked us a truck at a local location. When I got Laura back on the phone, I asked her to record our conversation and she was extremely rude again and did not care about the dilemma she had created. If we would have drive 1.5 hours out of our way to discover there were no trucks, I would have been more upset than I already was. She acted as if - OH WELL. It wasn't until I told her about the GM helping us and she saw the change in the reservation did her demeanor and tone of voice change. Now she wanted to call the FREEMONT location to verify. I told her to pound sand and I was going to report her. First of all UHAUL should not make reservations if trucks are not available and second have people in positions that cannot support a customers needs or emotions. We were not going across town, we were going across state and needed immediate action taken, not be more inconvenienced. If it wasn't for Les and his professionalism, we would not have met the deadline to be in SoCal 4 Seot to meet our professional movers. We were moving two homes and location was in SoCal at our other residence for cross country transportation. I will NEVER use UHAUL again or recommend based on your policy to book with equipment availability, and more importantly how customers are treated.
