When we first picked up the vehicle we asked if we could bring it back to have the car placed on the auto transport. We were told this would not be an issue. The vehicle started out with barely a half a tank of gas and we were told we might want to take a picture of the gas mileage before we start driving because when the vehicle would get turned in, we may have to show proof of where the gas mileage started to not get charged for not refilling the tank. He also highlighted a paper showing the initial mileage. The person waiting on us simply gave us the keys and I had to do my own inspection and take photos before driving off. When we returned to have the car placed on the vehicle, we arrived at 7am and were told by an employee named Antonio, that they did not have anyone there who knew how to put the car on the auto transport; the employees who did, would not arrive to work until 12pm. We were told to either look for another uhual or go to a goodyear and see if they could help. He pointed us in the direction of a Goodyear because it would be closer. Mind you, the location had other vehicles blocking the other entrance so; a man who I later found out was the manager had to help guide me out of the location. He said if they couldn't help us he could look at a youtube video to try and help us because he did not know how to put the vehicle on the transport either. After going to goodyear, their employees were very helpful and placed the vehicle on the auto transport. However, after getting the vehicle on, they told us we would have to go back to uhual because one of the plugs was too short and uhual would have to give us the extension cable. After arriving back at the uhual I noticed that the uhual was not chained properly to the auto transport. At this point the only thing Goodyear had done was put the vehicle on the auto transport, they did not check the work that had already been done. After uhual fixed it, I went to check the lights on the back of the auto transport. I noticed the light on the right hand side was not working. Antonio asked us to turn the vehicle off and restart it. When we did this the light came back on for a few seconds so he was trying to have us leave with the lights working intermittently. I told him no, we wanted a new auto transport. So then he suggested that we wait until they fixed it. Again I had to request for them to give us a new one stating we were driving across country and that I did not want to take any chances. We were then told they would be able to help switch it out and take the vehicle off but again they would not be able to put it back on. Antonio as well as the manager began watching youtube videos to figure out how to take the vehicle off the auto transport. After taking the vehicle off, once again they had to watch youtube to figure out how to attach the transport. Antonio began getting frustrated because the manager kept leaving him to deal with the situation on his own and he was struggling to get the uhual to align with the auto transport when backing it up. The manager justified the non-professional behavior by saying everyone working there was new including him and they were all still learning how to do everything. When we mentioned they need to make sure the ball was secure to the vehicle they ignored us and said they had it under control. Once they were finished, Antonio asked us to go back inside to change some things on our paperwork. I believe he mentioned discounting something, changing the mileage beginning numbers, and the gas amount but when he went inside; all he did was change the name of the auto transport. When we went back to goodyear, we discovered uhual did not hitch the auto transport properly. The uhual employees did not secure the ball to the uhual at all. As soon as the goodyear employees tried to put the vehicle on the transport, the auto transport lifted and almost made the vehicle get stuck. The goodyear employees actually stated they were surprised we made it back to their shop in one piece, driving with the auto transport the way it was. Goodyear checked everything this time and we were finally able to get on the road after 11:00am.

I got the your location I had to wait 45 minutes why your employee argue with another customer over $27 I asked him could he finish me up since I was ahead of that customer he threw my license back at me if I can't be patient and I don't like it I can go somewhere else, after I talked him into giving me a trailer it took another 10 minutes for him to hook it up. I got back with the trailer I rented I talked with a asst.supervisor who are assured me would rectify the situation. Bad business! And I was also told because I didn't have a reservation that I had to pay $14.99 for every 6 hours I had to trailer, not $14.99 a day I don't know if this is true or not but just wondering.

The customer service went well. However, the vehicle was reeking of cigarette smoke residue. And, as a general statement to the Uhaul corporation, please stop baiting and switching your clients. The $19.95 rate is never ever even close to what the total cost of the rental. You all proudly broadcast/post that rate on all of your vehicles, and every single time we rented from you all, the costs is well over $100. Therefore,....


Don't exaggerate the miles driven. I feel ripped off.
