This location was fine. The first place I went to pick up the trailer in Waterford on Elizabeth Lake Road was terrible, absolutely terrible. Waiting to hear from someone from U Haul on that visit.

The .99 charge per mile is a bit exessive when you have to fill the gas tank as well. I didnt get a refund for the 12 miles I was overcharged on my estimate. I think you can lower the milage rate to .52 that the goverment allows and you would still be ahead.

The girl at Maxx was excellent very helpful and made everything easy and more convenient. Uhaul in general I will never call again the people on phone were the opposite. Bothe the pick-up location and drop off lovation were very helpful and great people to work with. I will go to location and talk in person before ever dealing with the uhaul phone people again.

While the fuel gauge indicated "full" when I picked up a Ford Transit 250 low-roof van, the tank must not have been. After driving 49 miles on suburban roadways at 45 mph, I filled the tank using the auto shut-off on the nozzle. It took 6.65 gallons of regular at $2.799/gal. for a total of $18.62. That means the van got 7.36 mpg. That truck get 14 mpg city all day long. I paid twice as much as I should have for gas.

Great drop off transition !

Truck had 136,000 + miles. Inside was not brand new and lug nuts , door area appeared rusted. It was tolerable for my 10 miles of usage, but I would not have wanted to take this particular truck across the country (plate was from Utah). It was the perfect location and size was just right.

great service from Joel. Real helpful in hooking up trailer and giving tips on the hook up and unhook. rented 6X10 trailer- not my first choice. but a 5X10 was not available. towed with a chevy equinox to Ohio and back to Mi. on flat land and keeping to the limit of 55mph was no problem. would not suggest doing it if you are going over the mountains though. it would not be good for the powertrain on an 4 cylinder engine and trans. small hill required a lot of down shifts and higher RPMs for extended times. but it worked.
