We found the pick-up process very frustrating. We didn't realize there were 3 U-Haul locations in the Madison, WI area. We assumed it would be dropped off 5 minutes from our house on Bedford St.; we found out only by calling the 800 line that it was at the Verona Rd. site, 15 min. + from here. We requested it be relocated to Bedford St. and were told they would do so, only to find out a day later that was not the case and no order went in to that effect. When we finally went to the Verona Rd. site they couldn't find our box! The staff person there was very nice, and he eventually did find it. All in all it was less than ideal. How to improve??? Make the customer aware of the different sites right from the get-go.

The overall experience with Uhaul and the U box was a nightmare. They shipped it a month early, I was never able to speak to anyone on the phone as they promised someone would call me and every time I had to call I was waiting for hours and transferred many times without receiving the correct information. Lastly, when I thought I had the delivery date and move in set I found out my box was being moved to another facility and not to my apartment and then I fired Uhaul and hired a private vendor to deliver my box. I have used Uhaul in the past to move but after this experience I will no longer do business with the company.

Michael N.On your site, we selected a Saturday as our pick-up day. That location is closed on Saturday. Therefore it shouldn't have been an option for us to select it or you should have notified us of the discrepancy. Instead we had to wait until Monday to get all our stuff and move in. It was a huge hassle and very expensive.
SALLY R.The shipping company was fine to deal with except that the box did not show up on the day it was scheduled to be dropped off to be loaded. In addition, i never received a phone call letting me know the box would be a day late. I spent over 2 hours on the phone with uhaul over 2 days, was given misinformation on when the box would arrive at the final destination. I was told I would receive a phone call from the manager to discuss these issues, and never received a call. Out of 8 people I spoke with, only one was able to give clear and helpful information. Shocked and disgusted with uhaul customer service and reliability.
