On the second afternoon of my trip to Houston Texas to relocate back home, I noticed the safety chain was broken on one side. One of the links snapped in half. I called U-Haul from a safe location and it took about 45 minutes. Have somebody come out overall, it took about 2 1/2 hours to have it fixed. My sister and my myself and my cat were sitting in the heat in Virginia For over three hours being delayed. Because of this delay, we also had to stop driving after it was fixed due to heavy heavy rainfall. Due to the correct installation of the safety chain, it was U-Haul's employee, your representative, that caused this serious incident. This could have caused a fatal accident or otherwise. I was very very upset that this happened just on the second day of our four day trip. It was just my sister and myself, and we are older than 60 years old and I felt that this incident should not have happened Over 60 years old, but the fact that I caught it as soon as I did a good thing. I don't know that I will ever use U-Haul again due to this incident. The location where I dropped off my U-Haul was excellent. However, that does not make up for something that Could have caused serious harm to innocent people and/or animals.
