The "dolly" I rented was not usable. It had a shredded tire that was not noticeable until I had loaded boxes on it at the job site. The cargo van was clean on the inside but filthy on the outside.

Did not receive a walk through, or check out. Was simply handed the keys. No confirmation of milage or damage and as a result had issues when the pickup truck was returned. Would not rent from this location again. Absolutely terrible compared to dedicated U-Haul location near downtown LA (U-Haul Moving & Storage of Downtown, 1836 S Arapahoe St, Los Angeles, CA 90006) that I rented from 2 days later, where I received great customer service, a full check out process that was double checked, relevant information highlighted on my contract, and I also had it pointed out to me how to save gas when returning via the pamphlet.

If your sales persons are going to erroneously round up gas mileage, they should accept the same rounding up upon return. I purchased gas before my return, hours in advance. Clearly, I didn't wish to be charged for gas. However, I was charged, and evidently, I should have taken time out of my busy and already stressful time (moving) upon pickup, to teach your 3rd party sales reps how to read. I don't care if the amount is a ~$5 charge or a $50, if they're wrong, they're wrong. I already paid an absurd sum of money for a less than 24 hour rental, to then be charged over something that wasn't actually correct. Maybe this is a ploy that is done because of the Beverly Hills location, or, even your company's lack of integrity. I certainly won't be using this branch again, that is, if I even bother with this company again. My experience is extremely soured by the inadequacies of this branch, 3rd party or not.

Guys were very nice. 2 problems: van wasn't clean and I had get them to do it, and the dolly I rented had flat tires which I only discovered when it was loaded and impossible to maneuver. I shouldn't have paid for it but I was too busy at the moment

In authorized charges. Slow service and poor help. The man at the register kept saying how he’s in a hurry to finish a big print order and made it known that my time didn’t matter and his number one concern was that Job. He even rang me up for a Dollie and then forgot to give it to me. I told him the gas meter was off from what that had it marked at before I left. His assistant said it was fine and they would adjust it when I got back. I checked my receipt and I was charged for gas replacement

This review has very little to do with the above location, and everything to do with the flawed U-haul corporate model and the lack of customer support or the ability to fix a problem created by U-haul"s rental scheduling practices. I had arranged to pick up a van at a location on Pico at La Cienega. I had chosen that location because it would allow me to move the items I needed to move with a minimum amount of mileage incurred. On Sunday, the day before I was to pick up the van, I received an email, from U-haul, telling me that the van I had scheduled would not be available at that location and that another van had been scheduled for me at the above location, on Wilshire. Not the most efficient location for me, but better than a number of other locations. When I arrived at the Wilshire location I discovered that the van scheduled for my pick up time of 09:00 was not available. I was offered a truck with a box, at the same price as the van. I declined that option because, as I explained to the person at the counter, the truck with a box would be too tall to fit under a low ceiling that was at the bottom of a long steep driveway and if I took the truck, it would add an extra hour to my loading time. I had hired two laborers to start at 10:30. The cost of the laborers was $80/hr. The person at the counter tried calling central operations to find out if they could bring me a van. They could not and said that the truck with the box was the same height as the van. The person behind the counter checked the spec sheet they had and said yes, the box was the same size as the van. With some skepticism, I reluctantly agreed to take the van. I didn't have much of a choice. When I got to the truck, it was immediately obvious that it was much taller than the van. By then it was too late to do much. I had to get to my location to meet with the laborers. I had to park the truck at the bottom of the long steep driveway and yes, it took an additional hour, at $80.00/hr, to get that portion of the job done. So, what can U-haul do to improve for the next customer? Try having the vehicles that you claim to have for a customer actually at the location that the customer scheduled the pick up. No excuses, no sending the customer to another location, where you think there is going to be a vehicle. Have the vehicle where you say it will be, when you say it will be. Pretty simple concept.

Con artist. Started clock on contract before sending me looking for parking for my car. There was no parking in area. I ended up going home and taking Uber. Then charged me some crazy rate because I got back late. Advertised $19.95 but charged $89. Will dispute with AMEX.

I never booked this location. It got changed without my approval OR knowing, hence I went to my original location, the one I booked to find out I have not truck. I am forced (due to having ppl I am waiting and a move out date schedule, or else pay another full month) to go to another location 3 miles (paying extra per mile and traffic) the person says I have my two dollies inside the truck, when I open the truck there was NOTHING! in the first place that is why they said they changed my reservation, TO PROVIDE ME WITH THE DOLLIES!.

The company is very unclear about the cost of the cost of their rentals they charge me multiple times for multiple different incident and they overestimated my travel I traveled 14 miles going and coming back for a total of 28 miles and the up charge me for 42 miles no unacceptable I will never do business with this company again and they do not speak English and do not speak clearly when they’re explaining things they only cater to Hispanic audiences

I was overcharged. I’ve emailed the location twice now with no response. Took over an hour to rent the van due to a faulty e-alert. Location promised New Year’s Eve and news Years day free of charge due to the wait and because they would not be open. I was charged for these free days. The guy is very very nice but I don’t like operating under false pretenses.

The vehicle was low on oil and gas... so when filling it up after I was done I had to guess on how much to put in. Also when driving it I smelled a strong gas odor like it was leaking. And the windshield wiper fluid was low so it kept flashing at me. I told the gentleman that works there Nd he said no big deal.

They are crooks. Make sure to take a picture of the mileage and gas tank. Luckily I did and I had proof. They will charge you extra for absolutely no reason!
