The store was closed when I arrived, even though it was suppose to be open. The employee was then about 20 minutes late. None of my information was saved online despite me putting it all in to save time, as requested. I had to request items I had ordered online as for some reason there was no information saved. Not a great experience for my first time using uhaul.Alison G.

Made a booking at Whimsical Emporium for 8:30AM Nov 24th. Arrived at 8:10 and I used the app to find that "equipment" wasn't ready and to call a number. Called the number, agent answered and stated no one would be there until 9AM. I mentioned I didn't have time and to see if another location would be able to help me. Was told that this Bayfield location would have someone there at 8:00AM and said there would be a Cargo van ( what I needed - NOT a 10ft truck as I was loading my furniture from tight spaces). I double checked with the agent and she said yes ( I understand that there's no real way of verifying, however a call to the store would have probably confirmed). Once I got there, no one was there and called the number to be told that no one would show up until 10:00AM, even though Google says 8:00AM. Someone contacted me saying they'd be there in 15 minutes. After arriving this person helped me as fast as they could as I was already late. Unfortuntaely, he was unable to find the keys to the Cargo van and gave me a 10ft truck. This was a huge inconvenince for the locations I was picking up my furniture, additionally, I my trip was over 200KM so the gas cost difference between the two were huge. I don't necessarily blame this location as they accomdated me on extremely short notice, but the overall experience was unfair given I booked everything in advance.Sheldon F.
The uhaul helpers you recommend on your site never showed up or contacted me. I was unable to contact them. When I contacted UHaul, your only solution was to request a refund. This is not a very good solution for seniors who are moving and really needed that help. Luckily I was able to hire another company to unload my truck but it was at twice the cost. UHaul needs to do better wrt companies it promotes on its web site.William V.
Have the vehicle ready before reservations are made, finding out on my way to pick up the equipment that the pickup location has changed was extremely frustrating and cased is to have a very late start.Richard M.
