I wish I had been told that I needed to use the app to checkout for an after hours drop off. I took a picture of the odometer before I dropped the keys. Then when I went to checkout online I couldn't upload the picture showing gas mileage and gas gauge. Once in the app, I learned a $20 fee would be charged if I hadn't used the app. There was no forewarning.Michelle W.

Original drop out was in Camarillo, but arrived and they were closed after I called number provided and was told open till 3 pm on Saturday. Looked up another location and they were very helpful and received trailer there. Was frustrating experience but Thousand Oaks accepting trailer turned it around to positive outcome.William L.
Note on the second entry above: The equipment was clean and in general good condition. However, the front end of the truck starts to wobble and shimmy when applying the brakes somewhat forcefully, making it a bit of an unnerving ride when going downhill. Reserved a appliance dolly and blankets with truck. Was told on while completing paper work on arrival that both were not available. Not having the appliance dolly would not make my move possible. On looking in the back of the truck after renting it had blankets inside from previous rental. Ended up renting appliance dolly at Home Depot where I will rent my trucks in the future.DAVID D.

Trailer was poorly placed for pickup. I am good at moving trailers, However, this trailer was parked too close (side to side and front and back) to other trailers. It took me 10 minutes to move forward and back to get out of storage space. Made me purchase trailer light adapter. Years ago trailer renters would connect (with crimped connectors) wire to trailer. I guess this service is no longer offered. I have a Chevrolet factory trailer light plug. Yours does not work and I had to purchase yours that was half the price of the trailer rental. I think you should either include the adapter with the trailer rental that fits in your "non-standard" plug or at least allow customer to "rent " the adapter. As far as I know I can only use your adapter for other rentals from you. So basically you're making me buy an adapter to fit just your product. This seems to be more your fault than mine.MICHAEL N.

Starting point was fine. End point suffered from bad logistics software and decision making on the part of Uhaul, not my movers. You/your software set delivery pickup for 4pm at the Uhaul center when my damn appointment was at 3pm. That means your software did not engage until the day of delivery which is too late. Customers generally plan a time the day before so that their movers can figure out their schedule too. If my moving day is the 10th, the box should already be out and ready to be picked up ON THAT DAY NO MATTER WHAT TIME. Also, you sent my mover to the wrong pick up center. All of these f-ups are on Uhaul. My mover did what he could to get through the process, but was 3 hours late because of your ineptitude in this area. Lastly, MovingHelp NEEDS ratings during checkout for a U-box, so people can choose the right mover for them. I would not have chosen my first mover in CA because I looked him up online after the order went through (and seems impossible to change online), and he had horrific reviews. He ended up okay, but is very condescending which is fucking irritating on a stressful day.Stacy P.

Was in and out in less than 5minutes and on the road with a truck. Really appreciated Ryan's help and recommend them highly.Alejandro A.
First off-clean the vans before they are used. It doesn't make the next customer want to clean not only their trash out, but the previous trash left in the vehicle. Second we would have preferred a truck that was tall enough to accommodate an upright freezer, as well as one that had a ramp. Even with the appliance dolly, it took three people to load it.Peter P.
The restrooms were unusable, super super filthy. Both the truck and the dolly were not working properly. The dolly gave metal splinters to our movers hands. The trucks front wheels bowed out at a very scary angle once we started to load, leaving us unable to properly fill the truck. This was all after our original reservation was cancelled and we were stuck traveling further to rent two vehicles to move rather than the single we originally asked for. Trying to call the 800 number has a 29 minute wait. We have rented from uhaul for over twenty years and this whole experience has left us very frustrated. The two folks at the front desk were lovely, but sadly that can't begin to make up for the shortcomings of the entire experienceChristopher H.

Your total failure to deliver the box on time and then to charge us extra for storage is very bad. The box was picked up on May 11, 2021. It was supposed to be delivered on June 9. It was not delivered until July 7. Total time was 2 months! The cost, well over $3,000 is outrageous for this terrible service.Judy F.

The place was hard to find - I wound up at the back loading dock and had to wander through the storage warehouse to find the office. I had purchased a Towing Starter Kit online but they sold it to someone else before I got there necessitating my having to drive around to find one at another store. Then coming back finding where the car dolly was parked was again difficult. The dolly seemed in OK condition but later I noticed one of the tie down straps was fraying and there were screws missing from one of the lights. I put more screws in the light to make sure it didn't fall out and just hoped the strap would hold for the trip. This locations needs a better layout and signage to the front, better record keeping of what's already sold online, and better maintenance of the equipment.Eric W.

My experience at 1467 Lawrence Dr. was excellent because of employee Shane! He has a great attitude! However, my experience at Classic Tire (304 Giant Oak Dr.) with Mosses was a complete dysfunctional business transaction. I had a reservation for a trailer by Mosses but, when I arrived, Mosses said he didn't have the trailer and there was nothing he could do. A complete blunder of customer service! My comment is about U Haul's website reservation system. I put in that I'd return the truck at 5 PM, however I got phone calls, emails, and text messages at 8 AM stating I was late.
